The surf board shop is incredible.. Well made and customized is awesome business. The surroundings are so tropical green just amazing views. Hang Ten ~ Great Vid Tim Thanks
Excellent video Tim. As I’ve said before you’re a very responsible vlogger! Really nice that you had some time with your board builder and connect a bit. As long as you’re respectful you will never ever have any trouble buddy. 😊💪🏻🙏🏻
Tim I really enjoy your videos I love your our look on life you let me know that my weight shouldn’t hold me back I’m now 345 at 6/2 I was bedridden for 2 years and your videos got me threw hell. Keep them coming my dream is one day move to the Philippines with my American wife.
Thanks Scott. Hang in there buddy. I’m so sore after surfing yesterday. I still haven’t got used to being mobile after 2.5 months in bed. Just make small improvements each day. Take care buddy.
Hello Tim, great video. Love the surfing culture and I hope they never change the way of Life so Dale can grow up and be free to surf, dive and just enjoy the ocean like we did as young folks. A great Life and is so much better than living in a City. Stay safe and have a great day!!
Tim, Didn't know that portion of your lifetime was spent in Hawaii. This must be the reason why you love the 🏝️ islands.❤️ Like me, grow up in the Philippines, moved to U. S and with all the luxury in the current land, i still look back to my island in the P.I.. i fully understand now the ' parallel ' you're talking. Im with you man, im couple yrs older than you
I am so thankful to hear that they are working to keep the area in the hands of locals. I was fortunate enough to spend many summers in my father’s town in Cebu. It looked just like where you my whole childhood. It was paradise. I went back in the 90’s. The development, destruction and poverty was/is heartbreaking.
Nice looking Boards they make there and a nice place to surf as well. You sound so happy Tim to be there, in your element so to speak. Great vlog Tim, very enjoyable. Take care, God Bless you and your family!
I'm a new subscriber and I enjoyed this vlog. You're sensitive to the people you feature in your vlog. Thanks for sharing the beautiful place in Leyte. Surfing becomes a popular sports around the country because the Philippines is surrounded by ocean and sea. Dandoy will have a lucrative business. Nice vlog, Tim!
Beautiful location. So untouched. Will be in the Philippines next month bringing my Father-in-law home to Clalpan, Mindoro. Might go to Boracay or Palawan for about a week with my after we drop my wife's father. Maybe a couple other spots too.
Great to find a shaper in the Phils.I plan on retiring to the Visayas and want a new board, probably a 6'3 swallowtail/stinger/thruster.Tim, did you shop at the Froghouse in Newport?I have known TK since the early 80's.
Love the surf boards Tim, when I was a kid I lived just south of Tampa Fl in the early 70's and my stepdad got me a surfboard it was yellow and burnt orange to bad there are not much waves on the gulf I never learned to stand up but I always loved to watch surf boarders it is definitely the coolest sport.
Love to see those greenery - rice fields! its soothing for me. Before, I didn't appreciate such kind of scenery. Love the place they have, overlooking those rice fields.
Nice video. Cool guys in a pristine spot. Hopefully they won't develop it too much. Keep it kind of hidden. I've watched Kauai get over developed and it's now seeming more like southern California. Best not to promote it too much as far as I'm concerned. I started surfing Newport Beach and Trestles in the late fifties and sixties when it was a small beach community. Live the simple life and enjoy it. I hope to come visit sometime in the near future. Aloha
Very nice Job Tim. Love the content. Yeah.. there are surf spots here I dont vlog and or video to keep them secret. Part of the surfing Journey is exploring and find it! Diba? ;-) Awesome work! Did you go out and get a wave or two?
Good afternoon Tim K. What a beautiful area there. Reminds me of some of Camotes Island. Sooo lush and green n tall coconut trees. This afternoon I was able to finally purchase my ticket back to Cebu after waiting 2 years to return to Camotes Island. Arrive April 5th in Cebu. Can't wait to finally see Liza who will be waiting at the airport for me. Cheers Tim K
Your welcome. My wife told me she saw your video this morning, then I check right away. Our land is right there in Punta rock formation near Dandoy 1st house.
Hey Tim my dear friend, what an awesome video! Man, it's just totally beautiful. I hope that things will work out for Dandoy and his crew. And you are 100% correct Tim, there are times when the camera should be on, and a time when the camera needs to be off. But wow, this part of Northern Samar is absolutely beautiful. I said this 1000 times and I will say it again, it's way better in the Philippines. Can't wait to get back there. Thank you Tim my dear friend for sharing this awesome video. Please stay safe and healthy, and God bless you, Chrissy, Hannah, Dale, and the rest of your beautiful family. And may God bless your awesome pets. Can't wait to see you surf again brother.😊 😊 😊 😊 😊 😊 😊 😊 😊 😊 ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Young man this is one of yur best vlogs. Amazing people amazing surf amazing land. I'm just like you to save our beaches for everyone not the rich high rises and ruining the land and beaches. Ty Tim for being a good young man showin us amazing people and places
HI Tim, thank you for sharing the story of the community, I understand what their trying to do in that community and really support there ideas. Totally get it regarding big hotels what that does to the local community and attracting low wage labor, and before long it would be gone! The challenge will be locals selling out, just takes one! I truly hope that doesn't happen! Right now it looks sleepy and nice. Great job on the vlog! And communicating there story!! Best your regards my friend! Brian M.
Thanks Brian! Exactly right. One of the reason why land is getting harder to get is the concept of grandparents who believe land is meant to be given to their kids and not taken from them.
yeah.. San Juan has become the Surfing capital of the north here. A big tourist destination for Manila residents and Baguio residents! Crazy busy here.
I have zero interest in surfing but loved every minute of this video! I hope the tourism situation works out for them. Great work Tim! Were you able to get the Big Banana through all of that tight bush? 😂
Yea I have to be careful in tight areas, but the big banana can slide right into the right spots. Surfing by itself isnt really interesting. It’s the story.
OMG! Tim K, northern samar is my province. I don't know if its near cabacungan beach. But we also have white sand beach in Capul island, northern samar.
I grew up there that used to be a virgin area now it looks like some of the lands were sold to strangers . We are original family in that baranggay Most of the lands were owned by Cajandab /Lesigues family Growing up I can recall how that land and ocean was . I am now 67 years old my 2 sistes still lived there and has a native retirement home on the upper part of that land . We are paying land taxes but I think a part of our lands were already sold by relatives that didn’t know was bought by our parents from their grandparents . I am sad to see that land being spoiled by strangers
You would need to get cross bars for the top of the ‘taxi’ and maybe lay it flat on the centerline of the car. Probably also add a piece of steel pipe top tie it to so it doesnt flex too much with wind.
Again. I'm amazed how you pronounce Filipino words. Most foreigners even, local Filipinos can't pronounce it well. Most foreigners say Habagat like heybeyget even if they lived in ph longer. While you properly pronounced it.
Tim I am 55 I live in San Diego CA. My oldest brothers best friend older brother is Larry Mabiile who learned how to shap by Skip Fry. I love your surf videos this one was grate.
That's an awesome vlog man! Thanks for being informative and giving a good sense of where the location is. I might have to expedite my trip there soon. Samar seems to be less touristy than anywhere else. Thank you for exposing some real local shapers. I might have to hit Dandoy up for a good 5'7 fish.
good job. the big commercial interests with political connections are the biggest threats there. second would be the environmental degradation. the exposure you gave them will help provide attention and awareness, hopefully protection from exploitation too.
Omg I love Dandoy's hair!! Absolutely Gorgeous 😍 Great video Tim!!
Tim K... omg thank you for pinning my comment! That's never happened before. You made my day! Thank you!!
@@angies.4961 You had the winning comment! Thanks :)
@@TimKyoutube thanks so much Tim... I was just speaking the Truth!! 😊
His hair is nice but his 360 degree powerslides are even better.
I am here watching Dandoy Tongco, he is a famous Filipino skate boarder. Thank you for the video
It's nice to see that these guys are trying to help out their fellow countrymen instead of trying to take it over. The guy sure does good work.
Getting to teach your son to surf in awesome places like that is flat out wonderful. That place looks very peaceful/beautiful.
Keeping it real TimK, helping the locals is what it is all about. Thank you
Wooow, I'm so happy to see your vlog featuring part of my hometown. My husband and I will be living in Allen as soon as our house is finished .
The surf board shop is incredible.. Well made and customized is awesome business. The surroundings are so tropical green just amazing views. Hang Ten ~ Great Vid Tim Thanks
I love the surf hamlet vibe there. I love how no matter where you are in the World surfers are surfers. Like a culture all to their own.
Excellent video Tim. As I’ve said before you’re a very responsible vlogger! Really nice that you had some time with your board builder and connect a bit. As long as you’re respectful you will never ever have any trouble buddy. 😊💪🏻🙏🏻
