So this is the place to go get my Global Entry interview. I could just do it in the United States buuuut, might as well go somewhere while I'm at it. I found this video helpful. Getting processed at the DMV used to take a good three hours, even for simple small stuff.
horrible experience when i was travelling to the united states i was put into a room for questioning the cbp officers tried to get me to convince that i was coming to the united states to work illegally because of my age 17. When i was actually coming to visit family also they left me 15 minutes to board my flight.
Silly set-up with 2 security checks. Should have 1 with both Irish and US officers present (if required - some airports, e.g. Amsterdam Schiphol consider US TSA screening standards as equivalent to EU standards, and do not require re-screening of baggage when connecting. Canadian airports only require 1 security screening when traveling to the US).
To make it easier and quicker for people to travel through those airports, removing some backlog at the lines in the States and adding to the economies of the host airports.
The Us Preclearenc is only Avaiblible in Ireland and its not part of the Ir sh customs. It is in a different section because its only for america there not going to mix both Us Preclearence and Irish customs together
I know its three years later but your answer is no The US Preclearence is only offered Ireland. If you are travelling from uk you have to go through customs in america . But you can go through dublin and use this facility and fly on then to america
Its not if you went to america and went through customs there it could take up to a full day so count yourself lucky that you only waited 90 minutes in dublin
So you can’t bring fruit through pre clearance to eat on plane since it can’t be brought into USA ? Ridiculous

I have a question, how many pairs of sneakers are allowed to bring with me to the US
What if after Pre clearance, my flight gets canceled? Can I go back to my hotel or do I have to stay in the airport?

The US security check is just for US flights. They can't do US proceedures for non-US flights.

Terrible system. Waiting time is not predictable. Pre clearance took me 90 minutes.
