OMG :-O I'm left speechless... mostly... Even after watching several times in a row. As the self-proclaimed world's biggest Snarky Puppy fan, I think this may be the most amazing Snarky Puppy cover I have ever observed. The arranger deserves a hat tip -- perfect adaptation for a big band while keeping true to the original (and to Snarky Puppy altered live performances like the slow tempo drop and accelerando) The arranged harmonic modulations during the keyboard solo just work. I do find it ironic that the bass player is buried in the back left, while Snarky Puppy bandleader and bass player Michael League is always front and center on stage. Bravo Japanese college students. Extraordinarily well done.
What the...!? Is it possible to like this MORE than the original? Blasphemy, I know, but they make a really good argument. What they’re doing at 3:45 especially blows me away. Just phenomenal! Wonderful all the way through.
holy shit wow. Such amazing work, I love everything about it! The confidence in changing the arrangment and making it your own, the great solo, everyone being absolutely on point and totally into it... Great work!
Your drumming on Genesis' "Behind the Lines" is amazing. The placement of the toms on your drum set is also very cool, like Anika Nilles. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on this video.
As you said, it should have been recorded with better sound balance. Only the electronic instruments were output through the PA, but the rest of the sound is raw sound, not through the PA. I took this motion picture with my smart phone from my seat on the second floor of the church. I thought that churches reverberate nicely with choirs, harpsichords, pipe organs, etc., but have less of a sound-absorbing mechanism needed for loud sounds such as drums. So I thought it was very important to adjust the big band sound balance when playing in a church. It was a good performance and I wish I could have prepared more in advance to record it. Thank you for your helpful feedback.
By far the best snarky puppy full band cover i've ever heard. Amazing arrangement.
Michael League needs to see this
holy shit, this is by far the BEST cover of what about me! the keys player is lit. this is lit
Turns out the answer to "What if Snarky Puppy was also Seatbelts?" is that they'd be my favorite band in the entire world
Cant agree more.
It's gotten to the point that whenever I hear the original, I stop the song halfway to listen to this cover. It's absolutely incredible.
Powerful.
I hope Michael and the others have gotten to hear this too!
that keyboard solo was INSANE!
The percussionists is freaking awesome 👏
There is so much energy on that stage
OMG :-O

Thank you for watching this video and for the compliment to it. Unfortunately there is no score for available. Sorry.
jesucristo me hago cristiana
I tried to hit the like button more but it didn't work
can I buy the sheet music?
Original tempo ?
If they had a decent guitar player instead of three it would be a lot better a guitarist that could play all their parts at once
dosent really shock me that everyone are asian
because its a band from a University in Japan?
@@scotterd only asians and snarky puppy can do this
Well, sorry, but ouch! I'm sure they played great but the sound, the loudness of the drumms etc yikes
