Chris , I've been watching you for YEARS. I REALLY appreciate you building all these kits for us , and giving honest reviews before we spend our money on kits. Hope 2025 treats you and yours as well as you have treated us. Keep it up!!
It’s not only honest reviews of the kits, which is great, but “do it your way.” I take it as meaning enjoy what you’re doing and what results. It’s a great approach. Simple. A breath of fresh air and a break from other things, which is what a hobby should be. So keep it up, please, and have a great year.
The Donovan was not based on the 426 Hemi design, it was based on the older Chrysler 392 Hemi and the Donovan 417 was popular back in the day. Keith Black did the first 426 Hemi based aluminum engine blocks.
The 417 was built by Ed Donovan in 1971 and was an aluminum, sleeved block based on the gen1 392. I had to look it up because I never heard of it either and I watched a lot of drag racing in the last century
Glad you enjoyed it! YT says you've been a subscriber for 4 years and I've shown it on camera about 43 times in those 4 years including an entire video about it by itself (400+ builds in 4 years). Have a great week! Here's a video where I show the alternative product. ruclips.net/video/-PiiL5s4WRs/видео.html
It's unfortunate that Round2 used those old street tires for the front, they are way too tall for Funny Car front tires. They should have used the tires from the MPC Funny Car kits instead wich has a lower profile and looks more right.

Thanks so much, I'm glad you've enjoyed the channel!

I wish revell made sum more crazy kits like these
My buddy had a Satellite that looked like this one (without the funnycar front clip). Nice job on this one!!
I must say it's the paint detailing in this build that makes this car really stand out.
I have been building kit's for many years and just watched you adding the decal's that's for tip.
Right call on the wheels also thanks for the information on the dehydrator temps!
That is a great looking kit !!!
Really sweet build up Chris
Very cool build Chris!
That turned out nice. Great job
Very cool kit! While not the most successful, Donovan was the first to offer an aluminum 426-style Hemi for fuel cars.

@ Thank you for the correction, I should have known that 🤦🏻♂️
This looks terrific - thanks for the build.
Very cool kit I have two vintage built kits and I plan to pick one of the new ones. That are body base 73-74

Appreciate when you give extra tips......clear top etc.
Merry Christmas everyone.
Hi Chris, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family
Awesome can't wait to pick this up
I've never seen anyone apply the floor polish. Thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it!

Very nicely done. I like the Mopar kits. Keep up the great work and have a great day.
Nicely done! If I haven’t said it, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year! Looking forward to another year of your reviews. They are inspiring!!! 🎄🎅🏻🎄🥂
Very cool 😎 Mopower Funny Car, Chris.
Great job like always
The 417 displacement is correct for a Donovan Hemi.
Donovan has introduced new 417 blocks and stuff! Time to drag the Plymouth Arrow out of the barn.
Fantastic build mate👍
Merry Christmas Mr Chris WOW beautiful videos
Merry Christmas to you too! Hope you enjoy the holidays.
Let's see what happens when a decaled body is dipped in a container of floor polish instead of brushing it on. I think better results.
Valve covers are upside down. Cool build!
He addressed that.

Good deal Hoss! 👍👍🤙🏻✌🏻🎄🎄
👍🏻🔥🤘🏻
I want one I am to see it
Nice build but thats a 74 not 71
Right, '73-'74 style body, not '71-'72. I know firsthand, I had a '73, should have kept it. No one liked them in the early '90s.
@@72dodge340 I don't think there's too many people that like em now either 😂
@@72dodge340 Still have a real 73 340 roadrunner.
I had a 74 with a 360 that I pulled out of a junkyard in 1983. Wish I had kept her
I had a 71 Satellite back in the day, I was 17 when I got it, my ex wrecked it in 83
417ci?😊
Yes the Donovan Chrysler 392 based Hemi engine was 417 ci.
73-74
