If you *always* choose the "sick games" syndicate, you'd effectively have both random objectives and random maps, since you'd be at the mercy of whatever the game chose for that syndicate.

You can always come up with additional challenges to change things up if you're worried about freelancer getting samey. Entire campaigns could be done suit only, accidents only (everyone, not just targets), leaving empty-handed and only using items you find on the maps...the list isn't endless, but it's pretty lengthy :)

I bring the Sieker, the Kalmer, and the lockpick to every map but rarely use them. At level 100 you have 15 inventory slots so using 7 of them on those staple things still leaves you enough for just about anything. They're nice if you don't see something better, but since there's usually no penalty for just capping your targets from a mile or throwing a fire axe at your target from the roof and then running away, the dart guns are for very delicate situations that would be really annoying.
The street art pack and makeshift pack are $4.99 USD each you get stuff for your safe house a new suit and some weapons that you can use on freelancer and in the regular game as well I bought both and think they were worth the money
I did buy the two packs when they were on sale. It does add some items to both the regular campaign and Freelancer. It does increase the odds ever so slightly that you'll find what you're looking for in the field. But you also need to collect them all to 100% your armory if you do get the packs. It's not that big a hassle. Speaking of which, getting all the weapons in your armory allows you to "prestige." You lose all your money and weapons in exchange for... eh not much. You get a slight exp gain boost and there's I think an achievement every time you do it until like the fifth or tenth time. I'd just go for most of the other achievements first.
I did buy the freelancer packs and they make getting all the weapons a bit more difficult. You have to buy more weapons to fill the walls and they tend to be more expensive. BUT I use the concealable smg in the makeshift pack SO much it makes it worth it for me.
One challenge I like to do on my freelancer games is leaving with the same disguise I start with. Maybe it's something you can give a try xD Basically, I can take disguises, but to leave, I have to grab my original suit to not leave evidence behind.
Hi bigmooney, I have started playing this game and just found out that you can use the emp to take out the cctv cameras main device in the security rooms. Don’t know if you knew this already but it’s great and easy way to stop all the cameras rather than going into security room and shooting the device.
I felt called out by that GTA car comment. sure, I may never use my uninsured vehicles for fear of destroying them, but they look real cool in my garage

A note about Colorado. So, anyone with a gun is a "fair" target, meaning, you can kill them and not lose any money for doing so. This means, only the hacker guys inside the house and the regular targets from the missions are "off limits" as far as collateral damage. I roll into Colorado with a big smile and as many silenced weapons as I can carry and turn it into a Mooney style KEC. Though, alerted Colorado still sucks, just need to do a lot of hiding in boxes and lockers til they forget what you did. (if you're lucky)
When you mentioned poisoning the banana, it reminded me of how they completely missed an opportunity in these games which we saw in Blood Money where you could literally inject poison into food in your inventory. Why isn't it a feature in this game, being able to pick up a banana or apple, using a poison syringe or vial on it and then placing it down in front of someone who feels the absolute need to pick up food from a dirty floor and eat it. It's one of those things that would be stupidly funny but should have been possible for players to do.
When you needed the poison in Dartmore you should have still checked the merchant (maybe you did but it wasn't in the vid), they can sell all sorts of things including (I think) the Guru emetic grenade. You tried to lure that woman who does no work in Sapienza but if a guard hears a sound they will always go to investigate before a normal civilian. Also when you got seen but didn't lose "Don't blow disguise" is because he was still in the "warning" phase and he never saw you actually do anything.
I love Hitman, I love Freelancer, but there is no way I'd ever spend money on the upgrade packs. If there was more content, I would consider it. Anyway, love your videos bud. Thanks!
Being suspicious doesn't blow the disguise, just makes you spotted, blatantly illegal stuff like picking a lock does. For once, it wasn't the game being weird. That said, these videos are always more entertaining when things go wrong and you have to improvise. So I'm not complaining.
Unfortunately targets in freelancer mode almost never drink or eat, so you can’t really count on that for poison kills. The only exception being showdowns with the dehydrated or foodie tells; then you can be sure ingested poison will be an option. In all other cases the best bet is to bring a lethal syringe.
There's a no rarity emetic gas grenade that can come from the crates. Doubling up on emetic syringes would have also worked. I figure you considered the emetic gas device but considered it too easy.
The Street Art and Makeshift packs are both $5 US, each of which come with 1 suit and I think 12 weapons, and of course their respective Hitmansion cosmetics. All the weapons are instantly unlocked for normal play, but in Freelancer you get one random weapon from each and have to unlock the rest from the suppliers. I personally only got them for normal play as I'm not particularly a fan of how Freelancer and how it works and will probably never touch it after reaching mastery 100, but either way I'd say $10 is pretty good for 2 suits and the better part of 30 weapons, plus the Hitmansion cosmetics if you really care about that.
Word of warning to you, Mooney - NEVER end on Hokkaido. One of the spawn points is on the table in the morgue, and there's always a suspect and assassin standing right in front of the table. Idk if this glitch exists on PC, but on PS5 sometimes the suspects glitch out and just never walk away from their spawn point, so you're just stuck on the table unable to stand up without alerting the whole level and having all of your suspects try to escape, while also probably getting gunned down. It's the WORST

Ray Miller, the first target in Hokkaido, walks by the sushi bar. You could've disguised yourself as a chef and poisoned him with the fugu fish. Just letting you know for next time :)
normaly you can dart poisen an knockt out target. done it my self several times. if he is alerted he will not count as poisened as long as he is alerted. and alertet people with ! obove the head follow you without blown your disguese. so you can lure them into a nother spot.
I bought the 2 Freelancer packs because they'd just made an awesome new gamemode that was completely free DLC and I wanted to support them. The items from the pack are pretty much garbo. Only the concrete Sniper rifle is worth picking up in Freelancer, especially now that Prestige levels are a thing. I guess it's nice to have the Fusil G2 available in the base game now since it is my favorite assault rifle to mag dump guards down the stairs with, but reskins of guns we already have, and in some cases have multiple identical or better versions of, it's a hard sell if you're asking for something to improve your gameplay. And the decorations are almost all trash, literally in the case of the makeshift pack. So yeah, paying for the Freelancer DLCs is basically only good for thanking the devs for making Freelancer, because it ironically hurts you when you're trying to buy all the guns for Prestige levels and the vendors only have the DLC weapons that aren't needed to prestige.
I don't know if the developers need thanking for this, they've siphoned so much money out of us with sub-par docs. But then again, it's probably warner bros behind the absurd pricing for the dlcs.
The dlc weapons don't count for prestiging, and another silenced onehanded smg is always useful. As well as another bat and katana for prestige challenge reasons. Another concealable shotty is good. And the graffiti pistol looks cool.

Mendoza and Dubai have 2 different concealable SMGs and Isle of Sgail had a Katana, tons of maps have the Tanto which is usually better than a katana and counts for the prestige objective. Concealable shotties are rarely useful since almost every map already has shotguns available. So the DLC weapons not counting for prestige was exactly my point. Why waste money on something you'll lose anyway when you can prestige faster saving it for the vanilla variants. The concrete sniper rifle is barely worth it since good legendary snipers can be rare to drop, but that's it. Everything else you're better off passing up on.
@@thebaronlouis8619 the SMG's are both epic+ which means they can be used for the prestige challenge. concealable shotties are *very* useful, since you can conceal them so you can be dressed as a civilian and avoid alerted targets/suspects ire.
@@MrLego3160 again what you're describing is so situational that it doesn't outweigh the con of having the vendor filled with worthless crap. Concealed shotguns are pretty much useless outside of Suit only because guard disguises are so easy to get that even if you can only use one disguise it'll probably be a guard for whatever area is the hardest to sneak in and/or has the most important stuff. In the last 2 Prestige levels, Epic SMG only ever came up either super early when my priorities were always on saving up for the best weapons available or saving for a Legendary pistol or sniper rifle. Or, Epic SMG came so late that I already had every SMG on the wall except for the 2 garbage ones from the DLC so I just used those. I'm not saying the guns themselves are totally useless; I'm saying you will almost always have a better option that doesn't require you to waste money on a weapon that isn't needed for prestige but will still vanish when you do prestige. Yeah, we can imagine hypotheticals all day about scenarios where the DLC weapons are usable, but TBH, why waste 10-20k Merces on a weapon for the highly specific objective that only pays 3k? Are you really going to pick Epic SMG 3, 4, or 5 times before you see the Epic concealable SMG from vanilla at the vendor?

They don't sell the guru emetic grenade. you can find the ambrose one in supply crates sometimes.

The dlc weapons don't count for prestiging, and another silenced onehanded smg is always useful. As well as another bat and katana for prestige challenge reasons. Another concealable shotty is good.
And the graffiti pistol looks cool.
@@MrLego3160none of those things are that rare or hard to get. Mendoza and Dubai have 2 different concealable SMGs and Isle of Sgail had a Katana, tons of maps have the Tanto which is usually better than a katana and counts for the prestige objective. Concealable shotties are rarely useful since almost every map already has shotguns available.
So the DLC weapons not counting for prestige was exactly my point. Why waste money on something you'll lose anyway when you can prestige faster saving it for the vanilla variants.
The concrete sniper rifle is barely worth it since good legendary snipers can be rare to drop, but that's it. Everything else you're better off passing up on.
@@thebaronlouis8619 the SMG's are both epic+ which means they can be used for the prestige challenge. concealable shotties are *very* useful, since you can conceal them so you can be dressed as a civilian and avoid alerted targets/suspects ire.
@@MrLego3160 again what you're describing is so situational that it doesn't outweigh the con of having the vendor filled with worthless crap. Concealed shotguns are pretty much useless outside of Suit only because guard disguises are so easy to get that even if you can only use one disguise it'll probably be a guard for whatever area is the hardest to sneak in and/or has the most important stuff.
In the last 2 Prestige levels, Epic SMG only ever came up either super early when my priorities were always on saving up for the best weapons available or saving for a Legendary pistol or sniper rifle. Or, Epic SMG came so late that I already had every SMG on the wall except for the 2 garbage ones from the DLC so I just used those. I'm not saying the guns themselves are totally useless; I'm saying you will almost always have a better option that doesn't require you to waste money on a weapon that isn't needed for prestige but will still vanish when you do prestige. Yeah, we can imagine hypotheticals all day about scenarios where the DLC weapons are usable, but TBH, why waste 10-20k Merces on a weapon for the highly specific objective that only pays 3k? Are you really going to pick Epic SMG 3, 4, or 5 times before you see the Epic concealable SMG from vanilla at the vendor?
I love the Freelancer vids but it pains me to see you didn't bring a lethal syringe when you had Poison Target and Poison Kill :(
