You must be new to boxing. Floyd have always been respectable. I've been following his career since he was campaigning @ 130. He knows he have a style that doesn't appeal to casual fans, so what other way to attract those type of fans but to cause controversy, get everyone talking.

I used to dislike Floyd but now he's more wise, layback, and respectful. I am Mexican and even though he's knocked out so many Mexicans Lol I've have a lot more respect for mr Mayweather now. Floyds amazing but cmon man he aint the best ever. I like floyd but im not a biased fanboy and please dont reply with that 44-0 crap. I still think the best ever is sugar ray robinson, then joe louis, then henry armstrong then ali and then its debatable. I think floyds top 15 in history hands down though.
I will give 3 reasons based on #FACTs why he is the best ever...I gave 25 before but then accidentally hit discard post:
1. No one in boxing has a higher +/- ratio than he does which is the punches he landed vs the punches landed by his opponent. Not Joe Louis, not Sugar Ray Robinson, not Sugar Ray Leonard, not Muhammad Ali. So with respect to the sweet science of boxing which is to hit but not get hit he is the Best at it. #FACT.
2 No one in boxing has a higher championship winning streak than Floyd. Floyd has beaten 22 former present and future World Champions in 24 fights in his 27 Championship wins which no fighter in the history of boxing has done. He eclipsed Joe Louis record of 26 Championship wins. In doing so his last 16 consecutive fights were against 15 former or present world champions!
3. He is the only fighter in the history of boxing not only to eclipse Rocky Marciano's record of 49-0-0 but do so having beaten 15 current World Champions of which 11 were lineal champions, having 4 unification fights, which could easily have been 6 if Mosley had put his belt on the line and Diego Corrales had not been stripped, being a 5 time lineal champion over 4 weight classes having beaten the last undisputed former lineal champion in Zab Judah and the man who beat him Carlos Baldomir. Only because of boxing politics and paying sanctioning fees Floyd was not undisputed. All of his he did in 50 fights. Lets not forget beating 12 present or future HOFs as well. There isn't any one in boxing who accomplished all of that in 50 fights or even more. Then add to the fact he earned the highest gate and the highest PPV and the highest earnings ever in all sport and was not only the greatest boxer of his era but the greatest athlete of his era by both Forbes and ESPN and u got to give him what he has said which is backed undeniably by facts. The Best Ever to do boxing in the square circle and outside the square circle ever in the boxing game point blank period. Every facet of boxing except knockouts Floyd has mastered. You got to give TBE to him because this isn't about who u like....these are cold hard #FACTS. He is TBE whether you like it or not. He may not be the greatest because that is based on opinion but men lie women lie but numbers don't lie and the numbers say he is TBE. U can't dispute it. And he NEVER DUCKED NOR DODGED anyone. The FACTS are that Pacquiao and his camp REFUSED TO face him in 2010, 2012 and then he personally confronted Pacquiao in 2015 and that how the fight was made. Meanwhile they punked him and all who did not like him joined in calling him scared, including the media, called him a chicken, claimed he was ducking Pacquiao, and anytime he had a fight they would not focus on his upcoming fight but harrass him about the Pacquiao fight when they knew full well Pacquiao was turning down the fight then lying about wanting to face him. Bob Arum to this day is using that dirty ploy or trying to dirty one fighter's name with lies to get his fighter to ride their name and have subpar fights. He is doing that to Errol Spence to promote Crawford's fights. He lies about Spence not grossing in more money than Terence and created the narrative that Spence is afraid of Terence when Spence just fought Porter which Terence is not calling out, Spence fought Brook who Terence hasn't faced, Spence has fought Mikey Garcia who Terence has not faced, and Errol has fought Lamont Peterson and may be facing Danny Garcia. Terence has faced Jeff Horn who every Top Welterweight would stop and Amir Mr Punk drunk Khan who wasn't a top 10 Welterweight since 2017 according to the Ring Magazine Rankings. Nothing on the level of what Errol has faced but he would beat Errol? And Errol is ducking him? Same thing Bob did when Floyd chose to face the WBC Welterweight Lineal Champ Carlos Baldomir instead of Margarcheato his fighter. He claim Floyd was scared to lose his 0 against Margacheato implying he eas ducking him on HBO. So Floyd should duck Baldomir who has had a 22 fight winning streak beating the last welterweight Undisputed Champion in Zab Judah for Margarcheato who was defeated but 3 fights ago though a long reigning welterweight champion who had beaten no on the level Baldomir had just beaten at the time? Like really Bob?
Like I said the flaw u can nitpick of Floyd Mayweather was that he did not get guys out of there and that is because of his hands and inspite of his hands he still dominated almost all his opponents.
