@@DontDrinkthatstuff I'm really new to the groyper movement. Been watching AF for a few months now. Now the last time I believe Con inc on any character assaults is the slander of Nick. Everyone I trusted said Nick was just another guy like Richard Spencer, so I never even bothered to hear what he had to say. Turns out they hate each other and con inc doesn't even know anything about Nick. You'll never believe who made me actually check out what he had to say though: Michael Knowles. He defended Nick several times on his show after the no fly list (I think that guy is way more based than he lets on because of who his employers are, his views align much more with Nick's than the rest of the DW crew...then again, he does hang out with Ted Cruz :/), so i decided to look up some interviews with Nick here and there, like the JLP interview (hilarious), & eventually the Elijah Schaffer interview. Then when Tim Pool had the CEO of Getter on I decided, "Ok, I'm now officially watching Nick's show." then I finally found the movement I can actually get behind, been watching ever since (i watched the whole 8-hour stream). @@John-X I much prefer Knowles. Nick is a little too crude for me. I perceive Nick as destructive for the conservative movement as he ruthlessly attacks the main conservative influences. Further more on a daily wire ‘backstage’ the entire daily wire crew, including Shapiro, described their issue with Fuentes to be his inherent destructiveness and not a belief that he is a racist. You can’t really blame them for disliking Fuentes when he called out Shapiro and Matt Walsh. He also attempted to sabotage Michael Knowles at one point.
@A B Nick fuentes is based. In fact most latinos are conservatives, the lefty latinos are viewed as inferior because of latino macho culture. Thats what makes Nick better. Destiny sliding his way into the second closing statement was gold. I don't know how much either of them know about geopolitics, but I learned with 100% confidence I know nothing about geopolitics.
Geopolitics generally isn't difficult to understand. If you want to know more about a big topic just observing a reputable news source is enough. You can then supplement yourself with more info with history documentaries or Wikipedia. For Ukraine the BBC has done tonnes of podcast stuff but there'll be plenty of relatively unbiased news outlets. Financial ones are often good too. The best part is that geopolitics doesn't really change much so once you know the basics the new stuff makes sense really quickly.
@@Crispman_777 I would say that is definitely the worst way to learn about international relations. The media is full of poor framing, sensationalism, propaganda etc., and journalists covering popular topics, like Ukraine is right now, are often not experts on said topic. Also, avoid people who call it "geopolitics" as they generally don't understand it well either. IR Theory books are not that inaccessible to a layman, and reading a handful will give you a framework of how to make sense of all the crazy stuff you're seeing on these "reputable" news sources. Even just going through the major IR theories on wikipedia will help a lot.
@@user-ej3jy6eg6h Well this is why I recommended the BBC as their coverage is _typically_ very trustworthy with loads of real experts on to explain stuff when it comes to international reporting. There's sites that measure political bias and trustworthiness of news outlets too if you're worried about that and you don't know where to look. I don't think IR Theory is necessary to understand what's happening on a surface level and reading that is a tall order for many. Like I wouldn't suggest political theory to anyone asking "How do I understand the news?"
My question is why do 2 random dudes debating on their streams have more insight into geopolitics, whose streams are not even geopolitical, than the talking heads being paid tens of millions of dollars, whose sole purpose is to know and 'inform' the average person. Furthermore they can sum up points in 15 seconds that would take BBC an entire hour to do. They can both recite the entire history of Russia and Ukraine, in detail, condensing all major points into a minute or two of dialogue without detracting from the overall picture. These are the types of people who should be corresponding with tv networks. They are like walking talking history books

If NATO were to encircle Russia and have the ability to place more and more new and developing nukes (hypersonic) all around their borders at will, MAD might cease to exist and first-strike capability-a preemptive surprise attack employing overwhelming force-could come to exist, since Russia has a shortened time to decide to push the button or not. @@lukullberg955 So Im minutes into Fuentes opening statement, and he already started with a bunch of retarded russian national mythological propaganda. Not to mention "oh they just lost Ukraine by accident". Some of the stuff he says is almost litteral blood and soil ideology (of course applied selectively), which is usually domain of fascists, thats the way actual Nazis think. Like holy fuck, if you think thats how educated people talk, Idk whats wrong with you...
Nick Fuentes is a pretty horrible person and is full of bad ideas, but I can't help but agree with Destiny that a debate with him is far more interesting and grounded than anything lefties bring to the table.
Nick should've spent more time on the realist argument because that's ultimately why Nick's position is the correct one. Destiny can talk all day about how it's "not right" for Russia to invade Ukraine, but at the end of the day we live in the real world, and the real world consequences of Ukraine trying to join Nato are that Russia will retaliate. The point is that that was ALWAYS going to be the outcome and anyone who knows anything about international relations would have told you that for the past 20 years.
That has been adequately challenged, though. It rests on the assumption that Russia wouldn't have otherwise invaded Ukraine and there just isn't a good reason to believe that. Plus it doesn't address whether or not the invasion is justified, which was the point of the discussion. I can say "well serial killers are going to try and kill people" and that is unrelated to the question of whether or not they have a justification to do so.
@@joemamma474 They wouldn't have invaded if their security concerns and strategic objectives were more or less satisfied by diplomatic means. The idea that they'd invade Ukraine just for the laughs is simply mental.
@@horouathos8199 The idea that they invaded for legitimate security concerns is the mental part. They wouldn't have invaded for "laughs." They are invading because the people at the top want to rebuild their empire, or want more resources to prop up their dying country, or they are simply greedy opportunists.
@@joemamma474 Sorry, I think that's just batshit. War is the last resort after other means have been exhausted, especially when de facto challenging the West. You're just substituting any kind of real and sensible analysis for a simplistic narrative.
11:39 No, not Russia, the Soviet Union. It's baffling to me that there are still political commentators/debater out there that accidentally, or purposefully, use interchangeably Russia and the Soviet Union. Let me clarify the difference: the Soviet Union was a federation of "like minded" nations united in a common cause (fight against capitalism). Russia, like Ukraine, the Baltics, Poland... was one of the many Republics within the Soviet Union. So no, Russia didn't "lose" half its population overnight in 1991: the Ukrainian people were never their people to start with (I'm talking about Soviet Era here, not Imperial Russia). The Soviet Union ceased to be and the Republics that composed it were left to fend for themselves.
@Zechariah Ahl respectable yes, reasonable absolutely not, they don’t agree on anything. At least with hasan they can agree on a few directions america should head in.
@Zechariah Ahl just saying two people are capitalist is so simplistic. Destinys version of capitalism is the complete opposite to nicks. Nick wants little to no immigration, destiny wants more. Nick wants less social safety nets, destiny wants more large social safety nets. And even on the free speech point you’re wrong because nick doesn’t support Trudeaus use of government to shut down the trucker protest and destiny does. And politically destiny is closer to hasan than nick fuentes I don’t get how that’s hard to understand when destiny literally only votes for democrats and progressives lmao. And if you’re curious to know his reasonable/respectable nick take it’s on his clips on twitch. He thinks nicks activism is respectable not his beliefs or his thought process lmao
@Zechariah Ahl I agree, and yet destiny doesn’t find nick reasonable. It’s the beliefs, and how he arrives at his beliefs that destiny doesn’t find reasonable. Nicks slippery. Maybe you missed it but “slippery nick” was a meme in destinys community for quite awhile now
So Nick's argument is the realist argument that states stronger countries will influence weaker countries through any and all means? Is that it? If so then that's objectively true but I am pretty sure this conversation was supposed to be a moral referendum on the violent actions of Russia in recent events. Did he get confused somewhere?
@@ryanschmunk5970 Not from Twitter Politics people, no. But if this conversation sparks serious dialog on the world stage, albeit unlikely, it could alter what the world deems as acceptable.

Needless to say, they don't know all that much either. It’s all just a facade
Ryan dawson plug
-Fuentes probably
but thats true.
George Washington had the popular support of the people in the 13 colonies and he removed an unelected monarch as the head of state.
Yanukovic was the popularly elected leader of Ukraine. Yatsenyeuk was not. He was so unpopular that as soon as he was installed, two regions in the east declared independence (like George Washington!) and Crimea held a referendum to join the Russian federation.
You need to get off the internet.
@@hugochavez1287
Can't even take you seriously. I'll be more technical and less obtuse. Yatsenyeuk was never president. An acting president, Turchynov, was appointed when Yanukovych fled and an election was held soon after with Poroshenko winning. Prime ministers are installed via coalition in parliament. They aren't directly voted for. You could say Yanukovych was violently recalled and a new president was popularly elected.
As for Eastern Ukraine and Crimea, that's what we would call a civil war, not a revolution/regime change. This is more like when the US South fought to secede from the Union.

@@lamwam5065 what is liberalism to you?
Nick fuentes was more convincing.
Destiny could've done better
Destiny is SO happy he gets to debate someone one from the right instead of dealing with lunatics on the left
Because debate on substance is happening. Not because he think they are more reasonable or correct
