Some really good ideas in this video! I haven't built a new edh deck in a long time but this one really jumped out to me because I love low to the ground creature strategies in this format.
Currently halfway through building another deck at the moment but i checked my stash and only needed about 20 cards to build this deck so I've ordered the remainder. Looks really good and I'll have everything ready to go for the 24th. Will let you know how it plays out. I had previously bought Fae Dominion and not been satisfied with the legendary options. Was considering Talion until i saw Obyra. I do want to sneak Talion into the creatures but otherwise I'll keep everything else the same. Good work mate 🏆
2:25 Just a quick clarification, Faerie Conclave does not trigger Obyra's etb effect since it is "becoming" a creature and it has not actually entered the battlefield from a different zone.
Keep Watch would be amazing as card draw here too, plus it would trigger Alela to make more faeries. For counterspells, Familiar's Ruse is also a good option, because it let's you bounce one of your good ETB faeries to your hand to cast again, plus triggering Obyra again in the process
Strap a helm of the host to her. She needs to be answered or it wont take long before shes gonna go from annoying to very painful. A conjures closet and a panharmonicon (I think I spelled that wrong) would help increase her effectiveness as well.
Helm of the Host is an absolutely amazing thing to equip to Obyra. Panharmonicon is pretty strong but only really interacts with Obyra. Same with Conjurer's Closet. That being said, they can definitely be included along with Helm of the Host.
I really like helm of the host, like a lot, but the problem i have with it is that if you do get to play it really kinda becomes unfun for the opponents very quickly. When i play magic with friends i like to keep that balance where its good for yourself but also still fun for everyone else.
How do these fae combos compare vs some zombie combos? Id like to add some other dimir combos to have a strong/janky deck depending on the card draw. Cant decide what I want to build next
Maybe this can help you compare (granted, it hasn't been updated since I released the video 2yrs ago): ruclips.net/video/2qAZlc6RfxA/видео.htmlsi=Ct3KbZFXbSGZ3dOw
When Faerie Artisans ability resolves, it creates a token faerie artifact of the opponents nontoken creature? This card doesn't state that it is a "Token Faerie Artifact" specifically. If this is the case, then I am sleeping on a nice addition to my deck. Someone please enlighten me. Thank you.
The token copy created doesn't acquire the faerie subtype; only the artifact type. That being said, it's still a great faerie to include in a faerie deck. You're essentially copying all of your opponents' creatures' ETB effects (and any LTB effects, too).
@@TheCommanderTavern Thank you for responding. I misunderstood what was stated in your video. Either way, I have it ordered and will add it in. Thanks again 💪
Glad to see someone else understands Obyra supremacy
In Obyra we trust 🧚♂

It makes me so happy to see Cloud of Faeries with Deadeye!
"It's an older code but it checks out." :P
I've been honing an Obyra deck for a few weeks, some great ideas in here. Thanks!
Great! Glad I was helpful!
I like how this channel feels.

Seems like a solid plan. You could definitely run Talion in the 99 since it's a great faerie regardless.

Ooh! Those are some great suggestions!
I have almost all faerie commanders, so I tested a lot of cards and builds 😹✨ Obyra is one I am looking at now, liked your take on it👍🏼

Another copy effects to have more faeries are the new Vantress Enchantment adventure and Donal, Herald of Wings
I love copy effects so these're 100% amazing spells to put in a faeries deck like this one.

Does Obyra's ability trigger for each faerie entering the battlefield? So if you play 5 faeries in one turn it triggers 5 times correct?
Correct!
Question, if Obyra and panharmonicon are on the battlefield, would a faerie entering the battlefield would case the opponents to lose 2 life?
Yes
