@OurShabbyCottage oh my!! I am so in love with these. Lisa could I buy them from you? I absolutely love those ornaments. What am i saying?!? I LOVE EVERYTHING ❤️ 😍 ❤
Love this video Lisa, the little gingerbread figures are so cute and the blue you made looks just like denim jeans, great idea with the little necklace and I love the big boy and girl, they are gorgeous. The features from the mould are so clear, they are the best gingerbread people I’ve seen. TFS, God Bless and hope your week is filled with Blessings my good friend.
Omg… I absolutely love these gingerbread’s! I got to have this mold! They turned out gorgeous! I love gingerbread ornaments and I use them in a dough bowl. These are much prettier molds that I have bought in the past. These definitely have more detail in them. Thanks for sharing!
I love these gingerbread peoples. Love them. BTW, I was telling you about the neat embellishments in the wedding section at Hobby Lobby, well, friend run out there. There were so many new pieces to use, pearl and crystal looks. 😊❤
Wow Lisa, this brings back happy memories in the 80s, I used to make things like this - I haven't done it in such a long time. You have inspired me, so thank you! Yours are so cute! ❤❤❤
Love this! We used to make salt and flour maps of California in my 4th grade classroom. 😊 I never knew you could use this for ornaments. Thanks for showing us Ecco omical ways of making things,!!
I love how you experimented with all the different recipes. These are absolutely darling gingerbread molds. Unfortunately this is 2 weeks later snd I checked the site and these molds are sold out. IDK if they will get more and I'm hoping so. Meantime I am admiring how cute yours came out after painting them. It teally brought them to life. So adorable. Thank you Lisa for all that you shared here. I did copy down the recipe and baking time. Hope to use it on an IOD mold.
Glad you like them! Thank you so much sweet friend ❤️. I’d just keep checking back. I added an additional link for them as well. You might try that one🙂
My grandkids make little snowman even the 2 year old 🤣😘😘🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻thank you ♥️♥️♥️these are so adorable, I’m getting that mould for grandkids to make some ♥️😘❤️
These are really cute! I haven't made salt dough in ages, but I do remember that it's easier (and smoother) to fully dissolve the salt in the warm water first, then add it to the flour.
Thank you so much for sharing this video! This will be my first time to make these ornament of gingerbread…I love how you explained to us and to see the difference too…thank you again and have a blessed Friday 🤍🙋♀️🤍
Thank you for all your trials on salt dough recipes it was really helpful. 2 hours in a 200' oven would work out quite expensive unless you're doing masses of them. Fuel prices have gone through the roof in the UK. Question...do they crack or smash? I was wondering about the little necklace idea.
These are so ADORABLE!!😍🥰 I bought this mould and I was hoping someone would give me ideas on what to make with it. I can’t wait to make some gingerbread ornaments.🎄❤️
Hi Lisa!!! I love these gingerbread people!!! Can you tell me what video of yours shows us when you made the swaddled baby Jesus with the wooden ball as his head. I can't find it 😫
Hey Lisa. Love the gingerbread men!! I made porcelain clay. It had to be cooked and got a little hard to stir, but turned out OK. The pieces that we made with it are awesome
I have been making salt dough ornaments for many years. I use hot tap water to mix with 2 cups flour and 1 cup salt, the same recipe you liked. What do you use as a protective coat on your ornaments?
🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎😊...DARLING!!
Thank you ☺️
Add ground cinnamon to the flour dough. Gives perfect color & smells great for years!
Thanks for the tip!

I don’t have that mold, I may be ordering it now after I’ve seen you work with it.
Highly recommend 👍
These are absolutely adorable. You did an excellent job. I see the names of the paint but what brand are they? The colors are perfect. Thank you
Dixie Belle!
Sharon at accidental artmaker has this mould in stock!
That’s great to know🙂
I have been making salt dough ornaments for many years. I use hot tap water to mix with 2 cups flour and 1 cup salt, the same recipe you liked. What do you use as a protective coat on your ornaments?
Just a Dixie Belle clear coat
So super cute!!! Thanks for this tutorial.
I'm wondering how long these figures last with this dough. Is it like paper clay?? xx
I have some that are 40 years old. Pack them carefully last forever like a twinkie
@@Willowmoonmarket lol. Amazing!!!
It is salt dough. They seem pretty sturdy but I’m not sure.
❤❤❤❤
☺️❤️
Can you color your clay? It would save on painting!
I have never tried that.
❤
😊❤️
❤
🥰❤️
👍😊🥰😘
☺️❤️
how did you seal them?
I sprayed them with Rustoleum clear matte spray.
Do you seal them with anything?
Yes. I used Rustoleum clea matte sealer. It’s a spray.
Did you bake the small ones for 2 hours as well
I do
😍👫😍

Super cute
Thank you! 😊
