Howdy Gabe, thanks for the review! You actually brought up some valid points. We think ultimately where NMSVE fits in the scene ISN'T to replace MIDI controllers that already exist - which isn't to say NMSVE can't be used without other gear (in a portable sense using NMSVE with an application like Koala Sampler by itself has many pros for musicians who love hardware), but rather works best complimenting an existing setup using something like AUM or Ableton. What we see a lot of customers use NMSVE for is MIDI triggering or FX controls without needing a large MIDI controller that will take up desk space/can't be held in the hand.
*Edit: We have also tested NMSVE's latency with results averaging around 10 milliseconds... which is nearly indiscernible to the human ear :)

Gotta give you props - the review overall was pretty...not great, yet despite that you were receptive to it, offered some valid responses and explained how one could better make use of the device. While I personally have no need for this controller (yet), your response does reflect well on you as a company.

I have invested in a wireless setup with widi jacks (wireless midi), the NMSVE fits right in. I can play not only my iphone, but all my gear from this little controller with no latency. I use it the same way as all my other controllers.

I use mine to play with my Roland D-05 synth at work, right under my boss' nose. I keep my synth hidden inside my desk drawer, connect it to a WIDI Bluetooth receiver, and have a Bluetooth audio transmitter hooked up to the output jack of the synth. So I am able to play the NMSVE very discretely on my desk and my boss has no fucking clue I'm jamming out instead of pretending to do pointless arbitrary busy work. And I'm still more than able to get my actual important tasks done within like 3 hours of my 10 hr work day.

I really don’t think it’s meant to be used for replacing pads, it would be much easy using your phones screen. I am purchasing one to stick on my guitar so I have access to to many buttons for custom midi mapping I have in loopy pro. I will be doing a video on this when I receive it. Honestly having so many buttons available on my guitar is game changing.

Maybe triggering midi control messages during a live performance from the palm of your hand could be a valid use-case? Like you're a one man show, singing, vibing with the audience, but you need to switch to the chorus loop in ableton or something...

iOS is definitely one of the best platforms for anything related to bluetooth (as well as Mac). Latency was specifically very low with NMSVE using these platforms. But even latency with NMSVE on Android is nearly non-existent :)
