ABANDONED SCHOOL IN THE NORTH EAST

An abandoned School somewhere in the North East, it has been set for demolition for the last 2 years, when I first came here months ago all the classrooms were set out with tables and chairs and computers in some of them, but I couldn't get in, a few months later I had more time and came back and found a tiny window open and squeezed through, some work has now started here with computers gone, radiators taken off the walls and a few things stacked up. So I expect demolition to start soon.

Such a shame to see a school like this. No doubt it’ll be knocked down and houses built there instead

Yep, then 5-10 years later there's a school place shortage in the area as the ones that are left are oversubscribed.

Clearly the school's equipment has been gathered together for distribution to other schools within the local authority. You say when you were there last, there were computers on the tables but now they've gone. Yes, they won't have been dumped. Everything will be redistributed or if it doesn't work or is unwanted, it'll be sold off or sent for recycling.

@RoslynLamb all the schools I've done they get skipped, I've seen numerous computers, computer chairs, filing cabinets, kitchen equipment all looking in good condition, and I've seen them myself in the big skips
