Hi! Jackie Broe, here - the 12th house sobriety/podcast Saturn return. I loved hearing your insights on my return this episode, thanks for sharing! I’m very intrigued over the 7 year hard aspect insight, especially. I should also say, that while I didn’t go to rehab, I most definitely self-isolated over the last 3 years spending more time with myself than ever before. Had I not isolated, I’m not sure if I would have stayed sober... I started therapy, meditation, journaling/writing, and dove deep into a spiritual practice. It was during this time that I also started diving deeper into astrology, after randomly finding “Saturn return” on the internet... it helped to give myself compassion through what was a very difficult time. I haven’t been able to stop studying astrology since! Or talking about sobriety for that matter ☺️

MY SECOND SATURN RETURN IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW AT 29 DEGREES IN 11TH HOUSE as I am a pisces rising. I have released all toxic friendships,, I have put priorities into having surrounding myself with like minded like hearted people, high vibrational experiences, unconditional love, and sacred connections. Also this year i have put focus into my health and my dream career. Finally ruling out all ideas that do not align with my heart's desire and ultimate dharma. Also, this past Solar return conjuncted my midheaven at 24 degrees sag. So what a world wind this past year and last year has been for me. thanks and namaste.

I have a major Stellium in Capricorn with Saturn, Sun, Venus, Uranus, and Neptune in Whole Sign 7th house. I’m approaching my 32nd birthday so rounding out my extremely long and intense Saturn return. My most trying experiences revolved around interpersonal relationships but also around identity/shadow (oh yeah, my ASC is in Cancer so those eclipses were something 😹). 2020 was the crescendo of the sh!t storm ☔️

May be this is not the best place for this comment under this podcast but as a 20 year long self learned astrology enthusiast I got to LOVE practical usage of astrology and would like to highlight how much Leisa and Chris have contributed to my understanding recently through their podcasts (whenever they talk about electional astrology) , I'd like to give a shout out to Patrick Watson as well... I know there are many many astrologers out there of the similar sort and it's impossible to name them all but you're giving it a good name through your serious/rigorous work.... Many thanks all...

Thanks so much for this Chris & Leisa. I am the first person you mentioned as a 3rd house example. The one who got divorced, sold all my belongings, lived amongst car parts, built a custom van to live in, etc etc. I really appreciate ya'll sharing my story. The 3rd house charts did get mixed up in the video, but what's amazing about it is that the other Scorpio rising that you talked about is someone I know! Not only someone I know, but someone I have been working with on a Saturn Return project for the past couple years. What a pleasant surprise. I am commenting from my new youtube channel if anyone is interested. Love you both, thanks again!

I am finally ending my 2nd at 24 degrees Capricorn. This return was so much harder then my first, lost work and a job due to covid, my son had a psychotic break and 4 months of tragedy, alcoholism and living homeless until he agreed to help after 4 months. Depression, I had a knee replacement, plus a rare tooth infection that landed me in the hospital for 4 days to stop going into sepsis and killing me. A loss of close family connection that were tested. So many things at once with the Saturn/Pluto connection happening on top of my Natal Saturn. I think that was the kicker. Sorry for your losses. 😢❤️ I feel less stress lately and am feeling less pressured. I hope things get less painful for you soon too.

I have Saturn in Aquarius the 7th (night chart, square Pluto, opposing sun and mercury, and am i recently entered an Aquarius ruled period based on zodiacal releasing) The first ingress of Saturn into Aquarius was easily one of the most difficult things I’ve experienced in my life. I caught a highly contagious and undiagnosable skin rash (WTF) which not only scarred my entire body, but also spread to my romantic partner. We then proceeded to have the worst breakup I’ve experienced thus far. Once that ended, I took a vow to be single... which seemed impossible (solid relationship opportunities were coming up left and right but I needed more time). The day Saturn reentered Aquarius, I went on a first date with someone new (and first date since my last relationship). Astrology is so literal sometimes. I’m glad that the rest of this Saturn return will not be as difficult as the first part of Saturn in Aquarius. I am definitely taking detailed notes on the rest of the events for the next few years and I hope my story gets featured in your next Saturn return video lol.

HI guys, thanks for this informative video. I have Saturn in my first house at 23 degrees Capricorn (which seemed to be the degree to be this year.. ) .. this was my second Saturn return.. it was a doozy.. lots of hard HARD work on myself. I have basically changed who I am and what I think.. and pretty much don't care what others think of me anymore.. not in a bad way, but in a way that doesn't change how I feel. I'm more in touch with my basic self. But yeah, HARD WORK! I lost my dad on Nov. 1st, so my outside world has changed too. One thing I am grateful for is that Jupiter is leaving too.. I've had enough of "expanding" my first house, thank you very much!! Cheers, Denise

I have Saturn conjunct Sun in the twelfth house. To me its is a quite challenging aspect. At my first Saturn return I got a terrible burnout, regained memories of early childhood trauma, and lost my health, job, marriage and home all at once. It took me over 7 years to recover from all that! I started working with horses as a means of therapy, but I have been fond of horses as long as I remember! I surely hope my next saturn return isn't going to be anything like that, because it was like going through hell and back.

First off, thank you for all of the content, I have learned so much from this podcast!
I am a 2 degree Leo ascendant with Sun in Capricorn at 29degrees, Saturn at 27 degrees, NN at 28, Neptune at 14, Uranus at 10, and Mercury at 6. Subordination, Small pets, Work, Partnerships, money, friendship and sense of self have been emphasized in the past 2.5 years. Delay and restriction have been heavy, and a lot of change. Even more so this past year being 29 in a 6th house profection year. Hoping I’ll have more clarity once it clears these last degrees for me! 😐

I was born in 89, have the Capricorn stellium all in the 7th house. Cancer rising. I've been confused because my Saturn return was pretty quiet on the relationship/partnership front...I suppose I did more inner work concerning those themes but not much physically manifested. However, both of my parents passed away, and the themes of the 8th house were MUCH more prevalent. I didn't know the two houses were connected in that way, this podcast helped! So interesting, thank you.

It was illuminating thinking about transits that aren’t directly tied into the SR but in close succession-like Pluto at 28 Libra conjoining with transiting Saturn before my actual Saturn hit (breakup). Anyway, this was probably instructive for all of us!

My Saturn return was cake compared to this year. I have the Saturn, Jupiter, Pluto mess opposing my ascendant and squaring my natal pluto and Saturn. Lost my job and went through a divorce this year. My Saturn return was more finding my now ex-wife and started not bouncing between jobs, held two jobs for over 4 years since then, and kicked my former best friend of 17 years to the curb because of his toxicity. I'll take a Saturn return any day!

  • @sarahby7399
    @sarahby7399 3 года назад

Very interesting episode which has triggered many thoughts since I caught up after the Year Ahead episode. I don't usually get the opportunity to sit down and watch so rely completely on a verbal description of the placements and time of the nativity/event to visualise the chart under discussion. (Public holidays in the darkest days, a good internet connection and the necessity of social distancing during the big Christian fest are an unexpected blessing!)
I love how this time in history is allowing astrologers to gather data from such a wide range of sources, and to make public comparison of the nativities of 'ordinary' people, not just celebrities and Royals.
One of my thoughts since listening has been about the position of Saturn in relation to the angles for angular Saturn returns. Also - because this is still a new concept for me, having learnt most of what I know before Project Hindsight and, ironically, taken a 15 year break from astrology just as critically important (re)discoveries were being made - the role of sect in the Saturn cycle.
So, now . . . I'm curious! Do you think the Saturn cycle in a day chart indicates the potential for a lifetime in which material (ie tangible or external) realisations of the native placement are indicated? And, when Saturn is angular, the effort to realise this potential will be maximised? I've already written more than most, so I won't labour the point about the inverse being the case in a night chart (ie. frustration rather than realisation).
Lastly, I may have missed it, but a keyword kept surfacing as I was listening but I don't think I heard it uttered. Responsibility. The Saturn cycle reveals to us that part of life for which the native must accept responsibility - whether they like it or not! Responsibility is lonely; nobody else can take it, and if not accepted the consequences can be very harsh. In Christian mythology - as I recall - Saturn became linked to Satan, a much maligned [sic] angel. With a benign but all powerful God, how could responsibility fall to any individual in any case?
My reasoning at a psychological level is that taking responsibility for the Saturn placement in our nativity requires a kind of humility that most of us find painful. Being the last planet visible to the naked eye, it marks the boundary between who we think we are and who our society permits us to be.
Great thanks, as ever, for giving this data gathering and sharing task your good attention, Chris, and Leisa (forgive any bad spelling; it's a weakness of Mercury in Pisces!). Happy New 200 Years everybody :D

I was born about four days after the 10th house chart example as a Taurus rising with the MC in the 9th. I found a lot of what the 9th and 10th house examples experienced resonated a lot with me.
A lot happened during my Saturn return, but the peak of it brought the final stages of a career change, and I now work in an academic library. There was an abundance of other options, though, which will be interesting given the Saturn return coincided with a foreshadowing period in Capricorn in my zodiacal releasing. A lot was happening at once astrologically!
Interestingly, one of the interests I dove deeper into (besides fiction writing, blogging, and Buddhism) was astrology. I didn't get into it until near the end, almost exactly when Mars went retrograde in my 12th house squaring the Cap stellium.
I'm surprised that what I appreciated most about this episode, though, was seeing how Uranus and Neptune played out for others. I feel they're often neglected because they're "generational" planets, but there were plenty of examples here of how their co-presence affected people in very personal ways. It's nice to know I share that with others. Thanks for a great episode!

Saturn does not like short cuts and people trying to pull a fast one. If we are trying to do that it most definitely would slow us down and ask us to do the hard work needed for the reward we want. I think it is a fair deal. I have been having it in 8th house opposing my moon and ascendant ruler.

I have an example of Saturn transiting out of the 12th and returning to my Asc.
I have an Aquarius Asc. At 3° and Saturn in Scorpio in the 10th WSH along with a stellium (venus, Pluto, moon). Day chart, with a sun/mercury conjunction in the 12th, sextile Saturn.
The first time Saturn came to my Asc. was in ‘91/‘92. Saturn was pendulating over on my asc. Degree forward then retrograding backward, like it is now.
During those years, I was 7 and 8 years old. I broke my nose, badly! I also cut my lip open in a nasty fall, then my dentist pulled two molars she shouldn’t have. it shifted my teeth to one side, even braces didn’t fix it fully. All in that short span of time, my face was not mine, it was broken. Saturn represented the demolishing of bone, cartilage and facial structures. The face that you show to the world, to the public. I feared that everyone saw something I didn’t want them to see, something two-faced, ‘off’ that made them uneasy. I have struggled with low self-image and looked at myself as ‘disfigured’ ever since. Trapped in some other face. The one I don’t want others to see, or that when people looked at me, they just saw the broken nose, crooked lip and shifted teeth. Ive been hiding and preferred people not notice me. I didn’t feel like me. If those things wouldn’t have happened I literally would have looked different 😔
I started experiencing trouble breathing several years back after developing allergies at the very beginning of my Saturn return around 27/28 yrs old.
I went to see my doctor who referred me to an ENT. My dad has sleep apnea and I knew my septum was very deviated and allergies like Hay Fever made it almost impossible to breathe through my nose for about half the year. so I likely needed to get it fixed pretty soon.
In Feb 2020, before COVID hit, I was due to have surgery in the spring/early summer. My ENT got a surgical plan ready to go after two years on the waitlist to reconstruct my septum/nose bridge and sinuses. The ‘structural abnormalities’ were minor but many. Some internal, some external. So after surgical pictures and measurements, I got to see what the changes might look like. My perception of how I looked, I realized recently as Saturn toured through the 12th, was always very different from reality. And with a lot of alone time, completing grad school, physical and mental therapy over the years, I have ‘re-aligned’ to my sense of self again. Broken nose or not!! I will never forget what the ENT said to me...”you might not look like you expect, but you will look like you were supposed to.” I think I cried that whole day!
I’m supposed to have that surgery within the next few months. Maybe that’s what Jupiter/Saturn over my Asc. will bring in. Some remediation and undoing of physical trauma to my face. I might be more comfortable showing my face to the world! And not having to filter, edit and flip mirrored images because I don’t recognize myself. Confused at which image others see. Esp. now In the upcoming revisioning of our technology, community and the ethereal world of FaceTime, zoom, selfies and live video. Here come the Aqua winds of change, the shifting of many cycles all at once. I’m looking forward to finally being able to breathe again!

My natal Saturn is in libra and I sailed through my Saturn return it was a great time in my life. However this Saturn transit in capricorn in my second house has been an absolute shit show, but I got through it with stubborn determination (Taurus sun) I literally cried tears of joy when it finally moved into Aquarius.

Can’t believe I’m barely watching this! I am one of the lucky late 80’s birthday that has a Capricorn Stellium with the outer planets but I also have my sun moon and mercury there too all in my 6th house.

Amazing video, thank you Chris and Leisa. I've noticed that I'll experience Loosing of the Bond (in favorable planets according to my POF) around my exact Saturn return degree this January. Would that signify anything or gives more emphasis on Saturn retrun? Thank you so much for amazing content!

I have saturn in my 12th house with mercury, Neptune, venus and mars. Man it was a rough time. Then it retrograded twice i believe. So basically I had like 2 saturn returns and don't know how to comprehend it.

The example chart used in the 7th has a Grand Trine with multi conjunctions and actually 2 Kites.
This person has led a mostly charmed life. They've nearly got a "Star of David". I'd swap em my pigshit any bloody day of the week.
Pluto going into my WH 7th was the start of the shit and it hasn't abated till this day. I lost a great job (Pluto on my 2° Saturn in Cap 6th Placidus)
I lost my wife, Pluto SD exactly on my Dsc, on the very day, 19th/20th Sept, 2013, Uranus repeatedly trampling my 29° Aries MC, Sept-Oct, 2017, sacked for ( *not* ) bashing a kid at school, no access to unemployment benefits because of the nature of the accusation, used my meagre retirement funds to build a mobile workshop and got a hernia (l couldn't lift a thing: my colon was distending every 30 mins or upon exertion) where the Doc said "hows ya cancer going?". The previous Doc didn't tell me l had cancer; for 3 fucking years. Because l couldn't get unemployment money l lived on my credit cards and, consequently, became bankrupt. All this Capricorn shit is / has been opposing my 28° Sun after doing same shit to my 9° Asc
So with Pluto and Saturn 'endlessly' in Capricorn being revved by Mars every two years and Jup amplifying shit and the SN there for a while.
I've had nothing relationship wise since Pluto trampled my Dsc in 2013.
I'm fucking sick of loving myself. Everyone says give up looking for someone. That's easy no woman, in her right mind, would go out with anyone accused of bashing someone. *I understand that wholeheartedly* I wouldn't let my daughter go out with someone who has been accused.
I gave up. Guess what? No-one has appeared. Ah, it's all shit. What the fuck am I still thieving oxygen for? I mean what is the fuqn point.
Forgive my swearing (Mars cj Pluto in the 3rd)
I know why Bill Murray punches out that guy in "Groundhog Day".

Hi Lucas, I've just posted a comment (26/12/20) and would be interested to know your thoughts on mine. Having just completed my second return with a day chart, I want to reassure you without being misleading. Saturn is the best teacher, often of things we don't want to know so much about, so the lesson is hard, no question! However, there's no choice because the planet moves so slowly and deliberately, and I think, from my own experience, best not to take what happens personally. The transit is about your relationship to your society and your society's relationship to you. If you look at what happened when Saturn opposed and squared your natal placement, you will get an idea of where the challenge will come. Forewarned etc etc.

I got so far into it where I actually tracked the actual Saturn return point by conjunction where I looked at everything else going on transit wise where I had to actually differentiate what was what. The actual Saturn return related to loss where it was realized loss is just replacing one thing with something better. In other words, it’s better to lose than have where it feels hopeless when, once you lose everything, you’re free to gain anything. These other transits make it muddy. In overall context it (along with other transits) had a major transformation and I’m only really paying attention to it now because my chart is very clustered where I’m in my last major Saturn transit for a long time. It’s been hitting my chart up like Miley Cyrus on a wrecking ball. That transit already happened but Saturn (along with its buddies) pulled a big retrograde and I’m watching it for the hit #2.
Another, later in the return was when I first got into astrology actually in depth which was the best time to learn about astrology plus I also learned that at that age the frontal lobe of the brain finally matures. Saturn returns have a scientific explanation.
Another point I make about astrology is I recognized things in my chart in relation to things I just intuitively knew would happen (Saturn return period) and by actual actively trying to avoid it I actually walked right into it which brings an interesting free will dynamic. I, for some ungodly reason, got into Fight Club (movie) where I actually said to friends “I don’t know why my mind wants me to watch this movie, but I can’t find anything else to watch so I just leave it on in the background..” well, I know my MBTI type and scores which are INTJ and stumbled on a Jungian analysts depth psychological type review of that movie and it’s an INTJ type; I use the Beebe archetypal model so the 12th house Saturn return with mbti type actually fit with lessons with that. With the MBTI and astrology, sun opposite moon plus all the libra placements you’d find humor that my J and P function scores are 51% to 49%. Plus with that movie, the virgo ascendant and pisces descendant with north/south as 1st/7th is quite hilarious. Funny movie fact: the main characters are based on Thom Yorke and Trent Reznor in the 90’s. I went from relying on cold formulas to more spiritual and I’ll add that the dreams that some say were “prophetic” were actually what Jungians would call the dream house where I recognized the house wasn’t my house nor my dream house but a genetic suburban boring archetype which was why I felt so lifeless. The housing crash was after so others took it as prophetic. My then fiancé liked a house, we agreed to buy it, the walls started burning into ash and it’d be vacant, the nice suburbs turned to like an abandoned Detroit urban area where police where in a street war with violent rioters burning everything down. Reoccurring, but I linked it to a relationship that was based on “it’ll get better” which only got worse.
The generic song would be The Grudge by Tool since it’s actually a Saturn return song but the song I actually listened to a lot that details my entire transit is Pasturn by Skinny Puppy. I became interested in individuation by shock that I even found myself with dreams replaced by standards of others where I wasn’t living an authentic life studying how this could have been propagated to me since I’m notoriously individualistic. This leads into a then 4th house Pluto transit. I’ll learn to use that Pasturn song to scare people; at one point I moved close to home where family dropped off my sort of childhood memorabilia where I was sorting through it in a walk in closet and “Pasturn” is literally a song about that exact situation that’s so swarmed it’s nearly impossible to understand the lyrics. It’s almost all in symbolistic metaphor like Sodom destroying Venus.. good times. It’s only when we lose everything that we’re free to do anything.. go figure. It was positive and very necessary.

    Chris!
I was once again in love with the content and so grateful I found your beautiful brain.....
But I had to, like so many others, turn it off because you end statements with a question and it breaks my brain every time you do it.
It's like asking Google a question and it banged off an AMAZING technical answer that I can repeat ..... But then asks me if that sounded okay..... It takes my faith and immediately makes me distrust the source.... But I know the source is sound.
You have to trust that your information is perfect and not end your STATEMENTS as questions. It's not an intelligence thing.... You're the smartest man alive. So it's an insecurity.
Like an acceptance thing that has traveled with you from childhood.
But you're a God now. You need to make us believe.
Please take that part out of your INNER delivery and let us basque 'unquestioned' in your glory!
We trust you. We believe you.
Say it like you mean it so we can chant it.
When you enlighten..... End with periods. Not question marks.
I love you brother. I love your work.
I just want more of your brain and I cannot listen for long with the way you end facts.
Im just giving you a huge fans opinion.
    💙🙏👂🏻
    B

Don't be ridiculous, of course one should question everything and have the humility to realise that we do not know everything, regardless of how much we have achieved. You want an arrogant authoritarian? Look elsewhere! Humility is an essential part of true intelligence. Stop making ill-informed assumptions!
