the man’s an absolute legend, thats why we re doing this to honor him.
may he rest in peace
The man is an emotional Abraham's tank. He carries the souls of all of his friends and some of his family wherever he goes.
He’s not dead
@@justinelliott3529are you crazy? He’s been dead for 57 years.
May your brain rest In peace.
Rest in peace wade!
Cecil Cooper, Cecil Fielder didn't have a card until 1986
Wade Boggs is one of my all-time favorite players! That's cool you got to hang out with him! Great video here. ☺
Was a Boggs fan growing up. Love these ripping packs series.
“I miss Sparky” 😭 We miss you! Rest in peace Wade Boggs!
Love this! So cool that he was able to pull his 96 Topps card. 👍🏼
Boggs is a madman. I love how offended he still is over 40 years later at not getting a rookie card in his rookie season. He takes the opportunity to basically call out Topps. The girl tries to just move it along and ignore his rant.
I lived near him in Winter Haven fla and id ask him for autographs all the time ...i must have 20 cards signed...lol. Nice, nice guy and i was a fan living in Portsmouth RI
Another good episode. Just discovered this channel Friday morning quite by accident. I’m hooked and had to subscribe.
Would love to just hang out and drink a beer with Wade Boggs. Talk as little as possible and just listen to his stories.
Haha Cecil “Fielder” Cooper. Love Wade. His 83 rookie is iconic and the 84 Topps card had a great image as well.
Loved Wade Boggs!! True hitting machine!
This was a fantastic video!!! Wade is awesome!!! Winner!!! Winner!!! Chicken Dinner!!!
this is one of my favorite videos. Like see how enthusiastic Wade is!? Love it. The interviewer sorta dampens it. She doesnt match/meet his enthusiasm. And AGAIN...continue to put the players cards in the packs they rip! Its what we're all expecting to happen and see their genuine excitement. Pure awesomeness. such FANgasm lol love it. Why so short though????
Just got his autograph at a convention. Super nice guy. All time fav
He has many records, including most beers consumed on a flight from Seattle to Boston.
May have been inebriated during this lol
Lol spot on my friend 🤣
Wade Boggs once ripped 63 packs on a domestic flight.
Wade Boggs is my favorite player!
.361, .363, .368, .366 This is so unreal... Most players won't see .300 Hall of Famer indeed!
Great upload..... love the vintage cards and stories
Randy Quaid is truly in character 😂
See that '86 image of him? I'll never forget that moment. I was 10. My team just lost and my hero was crying. I didn't want my dad to see me cry so I went in the bathroom and bawled my eyes out. Until 2004 these were the kinds of memories Sox fans. had, hahahah!
I love that Wade Boggs shares our respect for Robin Yount.
‘83 cecil cooper. Not to be mistaken with cecil fielder who made his mlb debut in ‘85.
Glad to see boggs loved kirby puckett! I grew up in minnesota and went to 2 of the 1991 world series games when the twins won it all! Got to meet kirby and chili davis as a kid. Kirby puckett was the nicest guy and a class act! We named our german shepard after him as well. R.I.P kirby!
Boggs was my hero as a kid. Great video, seems like a fun guy to hang with.
I was at the inner harbor in Baltimore Maryland to see a game and I met Wade boggs in the lobby and he gave me an autograph wow that was great
hey this is a cool youtube channel. I am a 10 year old and my dad gave me all of his cards when he was a kid in the early 90s. I started my own youtube channel opening up cards, your youtube has given me some good tips. thanks.
1:28. Chicken Chicken, Winner Dinner !
If I could ask wade one question it would be what happened in 92? His 2nd worst season was when he was in his 40s and hit 280.
Thank the lord Mr Boggs chose to bless us with this video before he passed.
RIP Wade
Ummm....he is NOT passed.
Wade isn't dead.
@@mcmlxv9827 it's a reference to his Always Sunny in Philadelphia episode
I imagined how these guys acted when I was a kid and Wade didn't let me down.
wade boggs....what a cool cat...great hitter!
Got his autograph at The Big A and told him he would win a batting title. Thanks for proving me correct, Wade!
Absolute legend!!
He’s hammered!
Who knew that Wade Boggs had such an large personality? What a fun guy lol
alcohol does that to people
@@256kar lol
I Never thought he’d have the hippy vibe. I expected the Pabst blue ribbon drinking crazy uncle
@@justinelliott3529 I see a little crazy uncle in the right context lol
You got to love a guy that hits .328 for his lifetime average in MLB.....great player! He would wear today's pitching out lol
CHICKENMAN !!! If you know. You know. Flashback
Jim Rice I believe coined the term because Wade had to eat chicken before every game. Correct me if I’m wrong. I’m not. Haha
RIP Boss Hogg, keep ripping packs in heaven.
bro he's hot dead?? trippin dude.
we do this to honor him
Great idea Topps!
Boggs was one of my favorite players growing up! He kinda looks like Randy quaid now! Lol
Why don't you guys do some more of this like 30 videos a week of this
Wade Boggs was awesome. May he rest in peace.
Still alive
What Boston ring is he wearing?? They gave him an honorary ring or something?
With these retired players, no one asks them to pick a year that they played and pick 24 other guys who you wanted on your team.
THE MAN WITH THE PLAN!!!
Rookie cards are always the year after the first full season.
Not always, some had traded cards during their first year.
Boggs is the man
What a cool dude
This dude is nuts
FYI Wade Boggs has not passed away. Clear example of people who just listen to whatever they are told or read and assume immediately its fact lol Wade is totally alive and chilling. how sad Topps hasnt corrected this even here.
Clear example of people who have never seen It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and/or don’t know that the actual Wade Boggs was on the show and is in on the joke.
rip boss hogg
I feel like he had some drinks before this video.
Mattingly episode was much better and he was more insightful. It was great hearing some little stories from him
Cecil Fielder? It's Cecil Cooper, but hey, I guess all Cecils look the same.
He looks like he's had a few cocktails
It's Cecil Cooper not Cecil Fielder
damn, wade chews the hell out of his fingers
Boggs would rather rip the lid off a beer can.
Wade Boggs was such an amazing baseball player, may he Rest In Peace
Wade is still with us
He ain’t dead yet 😂
Lmao dude just bodybagged Wade
Rip boss hoggs
Wtf
Wade Boggs is not dead, geez, have some respect
Look at the freaking size of that Red Soxs ring. If he punched someone he would kill them. 😳😳😳
Wade using AI on his hair and beard
Boss Hogg is the greatest.
Poor guy can’t get off the booze!
Wade!? Should have followed Teddy's advice ( pulling with power and driving the ball, instead of Reniak's bat down opposite field singles style. ) You could have killed in Boston and been "the man".
Lol this is not the same wade boggs i grew up watching play baseball. He looks like an old playboy hugh heffner type. Rings, accessories, dying his hair. Looks like he’s drinking too much. Wth is going on here lol he seriously looks crazy lol. Anyone else agree? Well im a yankee fan, some seasons i pretty much watched every game, boggs was someone you payed extra attention too when he batted, he turned it into an art, loved watching him hit.
Cecil fielder? FU FRAUD
Man! I've loved Wade Boggs since 1987 when I was 10 years old! It was kind of embarrassing when the diversity hire stopped everything to show the "Cecil Fielder" card. Unfortunately, his first Topps card wouldn't come out until 1986. The card was actually Cecil Cooper, who was a hell of a ball player in his own right!
Mike Schmidt is not the greatest 3rd baseman. He has 500 hrs, a championship, and a few gold gloves. What he doesn't have? A 300 batting average, 3000 hits, and no batting championship. I'm taking Boggs every time!
Pete Rose.
Cecil Fielder? Are you serious? So obviously you have no idea who Cecil Cooper is and have no idea when Cecil Fielder played since his first card wasn't until 1986. Also, learn to read haha. Embarrasing.
Almost the type of thing you'd expect a topps employee to know
Wade Boggs deserves to be interviewed by somebody with talent. This show is a woke embarrassment.
What a great guy
