    Mannn I was hoping we’d get a video from you on Klein’s offense! Great breakdown as always!

    The team chose two captains and they did a draft between the two captains, so you had a mixture of all level players playing together. You can look at individual play, but our top QB had lower level WRs. Our QB 2 & 3 had tier 1 WRs.

  • @karsonbynum8235
    @karsonbynum8235 5 месяцев назад +1

    For context, the white is BASICALLY 2nd string offense with our starting QB. It was odd this year to try and evaluate thing bc the captains did a draft.

    I think the downfall of this team will be OL play. I wasnt impressed with their new OL coach to fix the abomination Addazio produced last year. Good video 👍🏻

    • @BoomerG21
      @BoomerG21 5 месяцев назад +3

      The o-line likely does dictate the season but it’s hard for me to take a lot away from the spring game regarding their performance. I don’t think they played well but with the way they drafted teams, I wasn’t surprised.

    • @macarthur71
      @macarthur71 5 месяцев назад +2

      No doubt, OL has to be better, but keep in mind they did a draft. That means the OL groups had not worked together as a group.

    • @paulsbunions8441
      @paulsbunions8441 5 месяцев назад +3

      @@macarthur71 that's true, the draft format really hurt the OL more than any other group. I forgot about that aspect

    • @landongest8364
      @landongest8364 5 месяцев назад +1

      O line was mixing ones and twos and some 3’s together. It wasn’t the one unit together and then the second unit together. Makes it hard to truthfully judge their performance as a whole.

    • @willtaylor6793
      @willtaylor6793 5 месяцев назад +4

      Most of the starting o line looked good except for zuhn. The new OL coach too said they’re basically having to go back to fundamentals to fix the mess that addazio left so they’ve prob got the farthest to go of any single position group.

  • @jaym8257

    So #15 is Connor Weigman the 5 star. Though injured in 2023 and then to surgery, fast forward to the spring game, he did not look good. #10 is Marcel Reed and he is quick and athletic. I hope Elko chooses the best person for QB in the fall. #11 on defense is Nick Scourton, the Bryan Texas transfer in from Purdue.

    • @colinboone8227
      @colinboone8227 5 месяцев назад +1

      Don’t forget how good Conner looked last year before he got injured. He’ll be 100% before the season starts. The way his team was drafted for this game he didn’t get any good o lineman or WRs either. I wouldn’t judge Weigman off this one spring game.

    • @jaym8257
      @jaym8257 5 месяцев назад +2

      @@colinboone8227 Okay, I'll be patient. But the Aggies have no room anymore for a QB work in progress. He has to shine in game one or he has to sit. Think Haynes King.

    • @kevinak-d1x
      @kevinak-d1x 5 месяцев назад +1

      I don't think Connor was playing on the first team either. But he was playing against the first team defense

    • @jaym8257
      @jaym8257 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@kevinak-d1x My vision test told me he wasn't setting the world on fire. Maybe he gets well and things are okay. But if he isn't the best performer, then play the best performer against Notre Dame on August 31. Cannot afford a fuzzy QB situation. The best situation is to find the right guy in year two and then for them to play the next three years.

      We've had some good QBs, but it's hard to always make good decisions when you're running for your life. We've been one O-line away from a great QB for years.

    Weigman is still recovering from a nasty injury. You can see his foot is still pretty tender in rehab in his throwing motion. Going to be Interesting. I think we're going to see alot of running this year. Moss and Owens are studs.

    The reason the defense looked good was because the offense was really bad especially the OL.
    I think the aTm Edges will be good but they are just ok in every other spot on defense and their defensive backfield has major issues everywhere except nickel.

    • @Anonyoutubewatcher26
      @Anonyoutubewatcher26 5 месяцев назад

      The issue with the offensive line is that teams were split by a team captain draft, meaning the OL units had not worked together the same as they have been during practice.
