    I've had mine for a few weeks now and I really like it. It's very comfortable to play. The only shortcoming was the electronics, but that was an easy fix with the alnico v loaded pickguard. I also put a cheap set of locking tuners on it. Very happy with this instrument.

      I’m obviously a Fender guy through and through, if you’ve seen my latest one about the Tease guitar there’s 4 Fenders( and the Squier don’t want to offend the “Fender Police” on here calling it a Fender and saying 5) in the shot. After playing the Tease I wasn’t as impressed as much with the Squier Debut. Still like it cause to me it seems like a part of “Fender made” history

    Sure, Fender may make the best $120 guitar, but it took a lot of companies making ≈$100 guitars for years to get them to do it.

    • @SearchingForTone
      @SearchingForTone  2 месяца назад +1

      This is very true, I do go back and forth over the idea of the cheaper guitar. Partly because Fender showed up late to the game. But if I were younger me, I’d probably go this route. It’s a shame most are reactionary instead of visionary.

      @@SearchingForTone I suppose that’s my issue. The market was always there but over the past 20 years the “cheaper” lines - Squier, epiphanies, just got more and more expensive while fenders and gibsons became all but unaffordable, and those companies were fine with that situation

    • @SearchingForTone

      @@AkaSnugD I guess it’s how you look at it too. Luxury car makers aren’t making affordable cars, just because automation is getting easier and cheaper cars are using their game.

    I went ahead and ordered one (supposed to be here tomorrow) because it's only $120 and I already have a loaded pickguard with alnico v pickups and a wiring harness with upgraded pots and thick braided wires laying around and a set of locking tuners that are unassigned as of right now, so why not? I kinda have to. I got the 2 tone sunburst one. I'll probably just keep the stock trem because I'm not much of a whammy bar guy anyway, but I'll still leave it floating.
    I kinda like that it only has one string tree and the slim headstock. Traditionally, the cheaper ones have two trees and the fat 70s headstock, so it gives it a little bit more classic look. I'll probably swap the tree out for a roller tree. I've heard good things about these, I have to imagine Fender's profit margins are extremely low, but it's a good way to take back some business from the cheap copycats. I mean, who's gonna pay $90 for a Glarry now when they can get a real Strat for $30 more?
    This will be Strat #6 in my current lineup. I also have a Fojill mahogany light relic Strat, two Squier Affinity Strats, a DIY kit built Strat and a 2007 MIM Fender Standard Strat, all of which I heavily modded or restored.

    • @SearchingForTone

      That awesome dude. Let me know how the upgrades go. I think I want to keep it stock just to see it over the years, I have 4 others myself. One I modded(the black one I use in videos). I’m not much of “tremolo” user either but I just like the floating bridge for some reason🤙

      @SearchingForTone  2 месяца назад +1

      That wasn’t too bad for dive bombing a tremolo all the way to pick guard I wouldn’t expect most fenders to handle that 🤣. But it was also the stock strings so they’ve bent in that position for so long over the saddles that I’m sure when I snap them off there going to look like hockey sticks on the end.

    • @bluwng
      @bluwng 2 месяца назад +1

      Vibrato are a system and two things are required for a non locking system. First proper setup to your playing style and second adapt your playing to the setup. Example if you dive a lot then setup the guitar for dive, if you deep a deep bend it will go out of tune but you just dive and you are all set. For a player that doesn’t dive often it won’t work that is why 1 and 2 matter. The bridge itself isn’t rocket science it’s just a plate of metal that pivots on a fulcrum. If you think there is a magical plate of metal pivoting on a magic fulcrum you will be disappointed. Basic physics vs superstition and speculation goes a long way.

    • @SearchingForTone
