- This one is worth checking out IF you love the damp, earthy, smokey scents. Don’t expect a lot of sweetness from it 😉

Excellent!!!! 😊😊😊😊😊
I agree on the larger opening on the top - then again it is only a single wick. I stay away from single wicks unless burning in a bathroom. I have found this scent at my local HomeGoods/TJMaxx - wish I could find Nest Holiday... wouldn't we all?!!! lol
I just picked this up at TJ maxx on clearance for 16$!!

The fluted shape allows for more scent to be released. If 8 oz was in a straight vessel, the opening would be smaller, and the bigger the vessel opening, the more fragrance oils are released. That's why I love their shape and why more candle companies are getting away from the older country style jar. I wish more companies with smaller sized candles, like this 8 oz, would do the same. You want the opening as large as possible.
Hm good point!
That said, Nest candles don’t typically have good strength/throw, so they would be worse otherwise? 🫣
@@coffeecandles3359 I've had pretty good luck with Nest over many years. I get a medium throw for a bedroom with an 8 oz. Throw is definitely better with the 3 wicks so I tend to stick with those for my open concept areas. Holiday and Birchwood Pine are my holiday favorites, and I've never been disappointed with those.
@@betsybabf748 Birchwood Pine is great!
It’s so interesting to me that scent is so very subjective. Nest has by far the best throw of any brand I’ve ever experienced. I started branching out into brands like Byredo and Le Labo and Carriere Freres and Trudon during COVID - and I still find myself gravitating back to Nest. Well, and DIPTYQUE. But from a purely throw standpoint? It’s Nest all the way for me. Particularly Hearth, Bamboo, and Crystallized Ginger; they fill up my rooms with 10’ ceilings within a few hours.
But…wouldn’t you think that a company as massive and successful and well-funded as Nest (the Slatkins) would have a scientist or a spatial designer or - a mathematician? - on staff who have considered and addressed the vessel shape issue? Hmmm…I’ve never had an issue with soot or tunneling in any of the gazillion Nest candles I’ve bought and burned and loved. I’m sorry that your experience with them is so disappointing!
I wouldn’t say disappointing per se - but not mind-blowing either 🤷🏻♀️
