XH-2 Automotive Signal Generator CAS Demonstration

  • I'm planning the installation of a Haltech Elite 2500 in my 1973 Datsun 240Z Turbo, and I wanted to be able to bench test with a crank angle sensor input to simulate a running engine. I found the "XH-2 Auto signal generator" on AliExpress, and this video details it's operation and demonstrates it simulating a CAS input to the Haltech.
    The XH-2 outputs a frequency, so to convert that to RPM if needed, use the following formulas.
    For a trigger wheel on the crank:
    RPM=(XH-2 Hz/trigger wheel teeth) * 60
    For a trigger wheel on the cam or distributor:
    RPM=(XH-2 Hz/trigger wheel teeth) * 120
