It's not just a matter of being priced out of South Florida. Let's face it, the place sucks hard. There is definitely a push factor to get the hell out of Miami and yes rising costs and low pay are definitely the main factor but that's not just it. The city as a whole has never made it a priority to retain talent because there is no industry other than luxury real estate and money laundering. The city does not invest in it's outdated infrastructure like Metro Rail so that maybe they can improve the mass transit system with traffic clogged highways. You can also have your unbearable sweltering heat for 10 months out of the year. There is hardly an incentive for younger educated people to stay in Miami. Now the rush is to push as many low and middle income people out of the area. Well then you tell me who's going to fix the aging plumbing or the street lights. Miami really does not have a future because the people running that town into the ground do not value it's year round citizens so this is the end result. Keep handing the place over to developers and keep bleeding everyone out and see where that gets you. All my roots are in Dade county; I'm born and raised there but I never felt attached to the place. Get out of Miami and head for the hills and make sure they don't follow you to your new location.
Sooner or later 50% of the Florida population would be homeless, I've moved here from Arizona 4 months ago thinking Florida was a better place for people to live in but come to find out Florida was the most expensive and unaffordable state in the country, I was paying $900 for a One bedroom apartment in Arizona and now I'm paying $1700 for one bedroom apartment in Florida.
bro same thing happened to my friend he was paying 1700 for a one bed. they raised it to $500 more. he left after his month was done, aint no way u working all day n yo money goes to a place where u dont even stay at cus u gotta work to stay there 💀
Floridians can always move to Iowa or West Virginia, some of the more affordable rent in the whole country. can't control people with money moving to FL. Either deal with it or move out. You cant always get what you want in life.
Do the math. If the rent continues to rise at this same rate per year, the ENTIRE STATE of Florida (not just Miami) will be more expensive to rent than anywhere in California. Run the numbers and use the same percentage of increase per year we are seeing now. We're going to catch up real quick and we're going to surpass California's rental prices. Never in my life did I think Florida would be more expensive than California, especially because Florida wages are extremely lower than California wages.
The 🇨🇺 Cubans make Florida a 3rd World country in so many ways 😢😢. They keep voting the same crap daddy Republicans for 5 generations, but the average Cubans in miami making and living on minimum wage and government assistance.

Many times they have been remodeled.

You can thank blackrock and other investment companies buying the up the real estate. Someone needs to hold them accountable.

2:20 home owners insurance is a big problem. It’s too expensive and landlords are gonna price based on that too
Yet how many newyorkers and other states people moving to Florida now rent gone up
They are moving to Florida because they were priced out of NY
@@grant1430 And now the joke is on them because they're going to get priced out of Florida.
@@burnindownthehouse no first Floridians will be priced out
We already left......
$2,300 for a room that was 1800 three years ago. No upgraded no refurbishment. This is what you cubanos voted for.
Not this one.
Yeah it’s weird it’s not like there was some global event 3 years ago that shut down tourism making STRs tough to operate.
those old retirees voted for it too,,. now they are eating cat food to survive,, but they wont say a word as its FLORIDA where the bigots move to!

Try living in California 😂2 bedroom apartments go for 3800.00 a month
I rented a 2/2 in CA in Pittsburg it was only 2360/month, then I was renting a 1/1 in Jupiter, FL and it was 2100/month
The whole state of NY has flooded here since 2019 the demand has gone up so has the rent ⬆️
T g ere is no rent control or affordable housing evil greed will always fail
Thank you Joe Biden & Kamala Harris !
I know the struggle.
You live where you can afford you don't get to live where you want. Miami is prime real estate but it isn't something everyone will be able to afford.
Miami is a dump
Stay in Florida move to okeechobee Florida
