- For the past 10 years I have run a successful small business that made about $150,000 per year. As of just a few months ago I shut that business down for good so I could do this whole online content business thing full time. Why did I do that? That's what this video is about. You should watch this if you have ever considering quitting your job. ▼▼

Some great tips and advice! Thanks Andy!
Thanks for watching!
Valuable information!
Thanks DUNCEATRON5000!
Thanks, my friend
Thanks for watching!
I agree with you on most of this that’s why I’ve started multiple online projects including this RUclips channel. Feels good when there’s people to relate to.
Best of luck with the channel!
@@YourFriendAndy Thanks !
Very inspiring! Building multiple income streams is vital for financial security and freedom. How do you maintain the discipline and motivation to work on your side business while managing a full-time job, and what advice do you have for those trying to balance both?
The video on quitting a $150,000 job after gaining valuable insights is a reminder that sometimes the path to success means taking bold steps. Really love your journey, thanks for sharing it!
Your story of career transformation from being an employee to business owner is truly admiring! Thank you & I really appreciate this video!
Worth a watch. Learned a lot from this.
I found this video incredibly valuable. Keep up the great work.
Closing down a successful business after a decade is a bold move, but Andy's journey is inspiring. Looking forward to your next content!
very valuable video, I'm just started Uni, but something just doesn't feel right. Really trying to figure it out, we be great if I could speak to you a bit more direct to see how you conquered your fears.
Thanks for watching! Don't quit college just because of my video! Only do it if it's truly not for you and you have a plan for what you would do instead. College can be super valuable to some people if it's the right fit. Happy to chat more. Consider joining my community. We do weekly live streams and monthly zoom calls where we could talk.
@@YourFriendAndy thanks for answering, I've done quite a lot in the business space in the last 3 years, always loved it, I do think that the social aspect is one of the things that hold me back a bit, but yeah let's see how the community looks like! happy to join!
the 6-12 months worth of expenses on hand is some of the best advice. when i took the leap I had 18 and i needed every bit of it. now that I'm in the thick of it i try and always keep 12 months worth. things do happen.
Smart!
I tried. My PC build and repair business just didn't work out. Crypto is in the dumps again. So I'm slowly investing in that for any potential bull run. Otherwise, I gotta keep my job.
Sorry to hear that. I have tried to start a bunch of businesses that never worked out. Just keep trying. So many other ideas could work out. Not giving up is how you succeed. Best of luck!
Did someone else understand what his 150k/year business was? I understand that he studied and worked in some kind of job + wedding photos, however it is not clear for me what his last main biz was.
Wedding photography was my last main biz
@@YourFriendAndy alright :D appreciate your channel :)
I think a factor that you didn’t account was having a partner. Having that safety net is huge plus you can save more with a partner than on your own.
Biz partner or life/marriage partner? If the latter, then yes I have a partner. My wife was also my biz partner for the business I just closed down. Which was very valuable (and fun), but that didn't help us save faster since the income was for both of us. But it would be helpful if you both have large incomes separately!
@@YourFriendAndy I was thinking life/wife. Sharing the bills would help save more money and that freedom would give someone more opportunities to invest or try out new businesses.
Yes definitely! If you both have an income. Dual income can be a great finance hack.
94k subscribers i dont think makes much on youtube tbh.... but totaly agree working for yourslef is the only way i have done for last 13 years.. love what i do ..
Well you might think again! ruclips.net/video/3zXrM4ZPmCU/видео.html
Congrats on working for yourself! I've been doing it for a decade now and won't go back to a "real" job ever again.
@@YourFriendAndy ah in crypto from all the sponsored projects maybe :-) but not usually mmm maybe I should start a channel haha.
@@ScreenArtUKNo. I have only said yes to 1 single crypto company this year (fraction mining) and I'm on track for another good year income-wise from youtube. My channel was making $10K a month before I hit 10K subscribers AND before I was talking about crypto. Lucrative niche = lucrative paycheck. Crypto is only one topic I cover on the channel.
The people that saw the original thumbnail for this video like this comment 🤣
lol you're gonna see it again shortly. I'm A/B testing!
