My 08 cbr600rr feels like a rocket on the streets. 07-08 is considered the best model year for the cbr600rr, in 2009 and newer they reduced the top end b/c of emissions bs.
The 600RR won the 2003 World Supersport title with Chris Vermeulen. Also in 2002, the previous version CBR 600f - won the title in the hands of Fabien Foret. This year they'll win again - with Kenan Sofuoglu back aboard the 600RR.
i bought a 08 honda cbr 600 rr and it is deff worth getting even if it it is ur first bike very easy to learn on as long as ur not a jack ass and try doing wheelies ur first 2 weeks deff buy for any first time rider wanting to learn to ride a sport bike.
Damn some of you commented on this almost 16 years ago. I hope youre all well and healthy still today! And also the 07-08 CBR still to this very day is still the best 600 Honda has ever made and its not even close. Mine runs like its fresh off the showroom floor and it has 29k.
@VampireHeart117 u probably got the answer by now since it was a while ago but it means the rpm, low range is near and a little above idle, high range is near redline and mid range is in between. that term isnt just for bikes so i dont know how u never heard that before lol but thats wat it means
@kj7687 and what about the sound and the design? I feel, even though i didn't hear it that good, that the CBR has a waaay softer sound and its design is more.."unpersonal" meaning too generic. What do you think?
These bikes are 95% track oriented. They are intended for track use primarily. The majority of riders couldn't even come close to riding any of the current 600's to their full potential.
not according to the majority of people. I like the R6 a whole lot, but my problem with it is it takes forever to get to the power and the ergos are really extreme. I would prefer it on the track, but with the economy, i hardly get on there. the CBR is brilliant on and off the track.
@kj7687 why do you say that? Just curious, i'm planning to buy a 600(doing license atm) but i'm not an expert so i'm trying to get more information i can.
get a 125 and ride around on that for several months then think about the bigger bikes but if you insist on a cbr600 as your first bike despite the guy saying in this video it has the fastest mid-range for a 600 then don't forget to sign up for that organ-donor-program. As for me - This CBR600 RR is THE bike to get!! I'm still about 3000 pounds away from getting it :(
hey i got an 08 cbr600rr graffiti edition and it tops out at 155mph stock, is there a reason for that cause i see a lot of videos with bikes with power commanders and exhaust that top out at like 178mph whats up with that?
Great bike. I love my CBR600RR. But I don't like these new looks. Eventually I want to get a liter bike, but if Honda is going to make same looking bikes I'll prolly go with R1.
What are you talking about? Nicky Hayden became world champion in 2006 on a Honda. Everyone who rides knows a Honda is the best handling street bike out there.
@misterhookerx3 well i guess theres something wrong with my bike cause i cant get it past 155 i tested it plenty of times and same result. unless my speedometer is off or something, and now i got a slip on and no change either
@Margalus89 Well I mean to each his own. I suppose I like the sound of both about the same. To me the Honda sounds more smooth and the same with the design IMO, it's smooth. Although I have to admit the R6 does LOOK good. Oh yea I'd say the CBR also has a better instrument cluster than the R6, which can be important for street riding.
@Sneer111 It's not impossible to get semi-high-mileage out of an R6. I didn't say that. But in general, a CBR will last longer than an R6. I've gotten my information from countless hours of research and I know this to be a simple fact. And if you really think the CBR's are the slowest in their respective classes, then you really need to do a little more research yourself, end of story...
"brakes are fantastic, almost a little bit too aggressive, you get a little bit deep in that lever the thing will start to endo right on the front wheel" -well it sure as shit isn't going to endo on the back wheel when you brake
I would no for two reasons. A. I have done a very simple thing called research, something you clearly have no concept of. B. I have ridden both of these bikes owned by friends.
at least I have proof that I know something about riding in my videos... what the hell do you have? if you want people to believe you, at least show that you are a rider, and have better come backs than "you have no clue what you are talking about".
no, Suzuki outsells honda in literbikes, not all classes. Honda has the highest sales of 600's and is gaining on Suzuki with the new CBR and new GSXR. I know a thing or two about Honda, my father is an executive for the motorcycle division of america.
uhh on the SBK supersport the world race chanpionship the HONDA won it last 6 years. and so far this year the HONDA 600RR has won 8 first places the Yamaha 2, Suzuki, Kawasaki and triumph 0. The US championship its just for rokies, not yet a big deal.
2004-2008 honda has won AMA Formula Extreme with Miguel Duhamel, Josh Hayes, and Jake Zemke. Also, in world SuperSport, honda has won since 2004. Maybe do a little research before you give the CBR600RR shit. You are right, Cade, they didn't win ONE championship. They won 10 with the CBR600RR. 2004 FX 2005 FX 2006 FX 2007 FX 2008 FX 2004 SS 2005 SS 2006 SS 2007SS 2008 SS
Now i don't know a whole lot about motorcycle racers, but i doubt you can just be "washed up" within a year of winning a major championship. Professional Boxing maybe, MMA, yeah after a big fight and a lot of blows, being washed up is possible. But racing a motorcycle? C'mon..
ok, even if he is (which I wouldn't have known since his post was deleted because he is an asshole) how about 2007 CBR1000RR in World Superbike? The name James Toseland bring any hints? I won't argue that Honda's racing history isn't as glorious as it used ot be in the last decade, but you have to remember Honda CBR's are outselling all other sportbikes, barring the Gixxer 1000 until 2008. There's a reason for that, and it's not because the bike is cheaper in anyway. Hell, it's the most expensiv
the R6 isn't as good as CBR600rr...honda has better control, stability, more mid-power range and better comfort...the R6 is oriented for race tracks...and since less than 5% of the bikers take their bikes on the track...Honda all the way
I LOOOOOOOOOVE THIS BIKE! 2008 Honda CB ARRRRR 600 DOUBLE ARRRRR BABY!! YEAH!!!
Good bike.
If you get a used bike, this is by far the best year along with '07. Great price point and these years are the fastest years for Honda.
My 08 cbr600rr feels like a rocket on the streets. 07-08 is considered the best model year for the cbr600rr, in 2009 and newer they reduced the top end b/c of emissions bs.
It's now 2022 and the 07/08 cbr600rr is STILL one of it not the best super sport bikes on the market. Picking mine up this weekend (:
Honda was the winner 2 yrs in a row now. I got the '07 which is the same as the '08... amazing bike
Got mine today, It's SOOOOO good.
The 600RR won the 2003 World Supersport title with Chris Vermeulen. Also in 2002, the previous version CBR 600f - won the title in the hands of Fabien Foret.
This year they'll win again - with Kenan Sofuoglu back aboard the 600RR.
Awesome! Congrats! Let me know when you post a video.Ride safe!
Picking up mine in 5 weeks!
i bought a 08 honda cbr 600 rr and it is deff worth getting even if it it is ur first bike very easy to learn on as long as ur not a jack ass and try doing wheelies ur first 2 weeks deff buy for any first time rider wanting to learn to ride a sport bike.
2008 HONDA CBR600RR IS THE GREATEST!!
Yeah they have the dyno chart on Motousa's site shootout article.
600rr FTW!!! I love my 04
Damn some of you commented on this almost 16 years ago. I hope youre all well and healthy still today! And also the 07-08 CBR still to this very day is still the best 600 Honda has ever made and its not even close. Mine runs like its fresh off the showroom floor and it has 29k.

@kj7687 still haven't compared the clusters, gonna check them out now. Thanks for the infos :)
nice bike cant wait to get mine
@kj7687 and what about the sound and the design? I feel, even though i didn't hear it that good, that the CBR has a waaay softer sound and its design is more.."unpersonal" meaning too generic.
What do you think?
@Sneer111 thanks i'll guess i'll try CBR and R6 only since these bike are the only ones i totally like in look :)
picking up mine today. = ]

@misterhookerx3
yea ill try that, but also does yours hit the rev limiter in 6th? mine only hits about 8 or 9k rpms it wont reach the rev limiter
midrange is the mid RPM range, like 6500 RPMs to about 9500 RPMs is midrange rpms.
2008 cbr600rr win 1st 2nd 3rd in Supersport World Championship, and is going to win them this year.
great video...great bike...i love them all japan go!!!
from wat im hearin from those guys
the honda n yamaha mid range is the best this year?
@misterhookerx3 why do you say that? Just curious, i can't get that..i thought it was the contrary since the R6 is higher than the other 6's
@kj7687 why do you say that? Just curious, i'm planning to buy a 600(doing license atm) but i'm not an expert so i'm trying to get more information i can.

Motorcycle USA,
if it is to have only one superbike, which would be better, CBR 600rr 2007 or CBR 1000rr 2007?
@misterhookerx3
well imma have to do that then, andy idea on how to disable the govenor?
Just bought one! Jippie :)
+swiep100 join the forum 600rr.net
im a beginner, and i would like to buy that cbr600rr 2k8,its that a good choice for my first bike? thanks guys
Great bike. I love my CBR600RR. But I don't like these new looks. Eventually I want to get a liter bike, but if Honda is going to make same looking bikes I'll prolly go with R1.
my only complaint on this bike is the extremely aggressive brakes. other than that its incredible
What are you talking about? Nicky Hayden became world champion in 2006 on a Honda. Everyone who rides knows a Honda is the best handling street bike out there.
as you know buddy got my honda cbr600rr 08 start of april!? got 1 month to wait till i can get insured/mot and tax!? so i'll post a video!
There's a bit more difference between them than that, but yes they are very close.
So which one won?
@misterhookerx3
well i guess theres something wrong with my bike cause i cant get it past 155 i tested it plenty of times and same result. unless my speedometer is off or something, and now i got a slip on and no change either
I wish honda could not change the look. I like the design of o6 cbr600rr
While your Dad's in his office, your Mom is riding the mechanics. I hear she has great handling!! She needs to loose the saddle bags though.
Err...you do realize that the Honda CBR600RR has won every world supersport championship since its inception in 2003, right?
BBbhahah, the 2ed guy took the mic and made he all confused HAHABHABHBAHAHHA
@Margalus89 Well I mean to each his own. I suppose I like the sound of both about the same. To me the Honda sounds more smooth and the same with the design IMO, it's smooth. Although I have to admit the R6 does LOOK good. Oh yea I'd say the CBR also has a better instrument cluster than the R6, which can be important for street riding.
@Margalus89 Well the CBR is more reliable than the R6, less high maintenance, better mid-range power, more comfortable, and at least as fast.
this is the best bike i don't know why people like the R6 it just looks good it has no midrage and riding in the street sucks
@Sneer111 It's not impossible to get semi-high-mileage out of an R6. I didn't say that. But in general, a CBR will last longer than an R6. wtf is mike a sport bike racer? He's not riding the bike right
"brakes are fantastic, almost a little bit too aggressive, you get a little bit deep in that lever the thing will start to endo right on the front wheel" -well it sure as shit isn't going to endo on the back wheel when you brake
Did any of you actually watch this video??
@kj7687 But in the end it is of course your decision to make. So get whatever makes you happy.
Woot woot!
i luv it....
I would no for two reasons. A. I have done a very simple thing called research, something you clearly have no concept of. B. I have ridden both of these bikes owned by friends.
A friend of mine rode my 08 600rr, he has a 05zx10r and said that my bike has not power, like its flat with no engine, so i told him to you know lol
at least I have proof that I know something about riding in my videos... what the hell do you have? if you want people to believe you, at least show that you are a rider, and have better come backs than "you have no clue what you are talking about".

how about 2007 CBR1000RR in World Superbike? The name James Toseland bring any hints?

Please dude lol CBR>R6 any time anywhere.
the R6 isn't as good as CBR600rr...honda has better control, stability, more mid-power range and better comfort...the R6 is oriented for race tracks...and since less than 5% of the bikers take their bikes on the track...Honda all the way
YAMAHA R6 is better!
It is most ugly of cbr600rr yet.
