The geometry seems extreme, but if you look at the seat to handlebar relation it’s pretty standard. If the top tube ran straight you’d just have the seat post extended more. My point is: it’s not as extreme as the frame shape would have you believe.
Hey Zach, this used to be my frame and i put some work into it. It had some transportdamage from storage and the seatpost diameter was rather weird with 29,8mm i think. I built in a sleeve and glued it to the frame then i honed down the rest to make it look like stock. The Paint is a metallic powder coat. Actually i had to clarify on a lot of pages , that this is a Nöll, since a lot of people asked and some had given wrong answers like orlowski.
One little thing. Here in Germany you need two brakes to be legal. Having only one is as illegal as having none so he has that front brake one for its usage, not legality.
@@dodgethis9193 afaik, the rule is not clear if a fixed drive train doesn't count as a back brake. there was a court rule that said a fixed drive train might be classified as a braking mechanism. i don't ride a fixie, but i see people riding fixed with only a front brake or even ride brakeless all the time. most people i see without brakes ride very chill though. i live in hamburg.
Glad that the carbon wheel got some love. I've got a Seaboard FG03 with a velocity 30mm on the rear and an 80mm carbon up front. That soundjust makes you want to always go fast.
The Delta skewer should be on the front too for aero. Would allow Allen wrench to be carried instead of bulky 15 mm wrench. One failed on rear for me by stripping from repeated use. My vote for 15 mm nuts on rear. You won't get anywhere after that failure! The 2 Conti tires, SKF industrial bearings in rear hub (Italy) and Wipperman Germany chain save it from being an all Asian Cordoba. Some Shimano components from Malaysia. Pedals. Really got to recheck Aventon factory assembly. Once corrected they are the greatest.
Hey Zach! Wonder how many fixie points it would get? What's the point of a beautifull poursuit frame with stem at max high? 😉 and isn't that seat post looking weird that side with the back of the saddle aligned w the seat tube ? Look like the guy tried to reduce what a pursuit frame is made for...
There are many custom frame builders in Germany that primarily focus on steel and titanium frames. You just don't see a lot of them around on social media because these small builders rather build bikes than engaging in social media BS.
@@OGLobster some people just like the look of low-pro frames and even ride regular single speed or inner gears. why not. it's not made for riding in the track anyways.
@@321tms2 still defeats the purpose of choosing a frame with such extreme geometry. Turns the bike into an absolutely standard geometry. Might as well just get a frame with a much more relaxed geometry that actually fits the rider compared to something they will have a soar back and shoulders if they actually ride correctly. Don't get any style points for riding low pro with a huge rise IMO.
I don't understand the hate, this bike is dope! A living contradiction, yes, but that's the fun of it. If it rips (and it sure looks like it does), then who cares
I need your help. Went to 3 bike shops today and it seemed like they just tried to make a sale. I am looking for a fixie/single gear bike, something that looks good and cheap but also well made. Can you please give me some recommendations. Thank you!
Hi Zach Love your videos and your ethos brother. I just got a email notification from #wabicycles saying that I can preorder a #lightening frameset with new 2020 fall colors 😀 I like the Pearl Black frame, but the Pearl White looks nice as well.

Sick seatpost and I’m a fan of the short risers. Very nice build!
This frame color is so rad.
thats why i picked it

I absolutely love the lo pro look of this bike it’s rare to builds like this

Ive seen a few german riders on insta (berlin based) with front only brake. Doesnt the rear fixed count?

Not for me, but still appreciate it

Are Poloandbike frames good quality?
Why the colnago fork? To me thats like buying an individual specialty made suit, but the trousers made by a different company.
I ofter ride on that old airport area, love it
Its probably more important that the front wheel is aero as wind is already disturbed by the time it reaches the rear...
I've seen in German forums mentioned bike lanes are littered with broken glass. How do they ride on this tires....
ask my flat tire
never really was a issue for me tbh

actually curious to see how its rider fits on it with the saddle set this way in relation to its bb. The nitto 66 does it for me
Got halo wheels on my fixed gear. For the price theyre a great alt to H plus if youre on a budget

Does anyone know where I can get this frame?
If you are looking for chainrings that can satisfy the best sprinters in the world look for the 'made in Gemany' Gebhard chainrings.
@@frondantrieb You are correct. Thanks for sharing.
How do we get the fixie point stickers??
How aggressive is this geometry really, given the riser bars and stem?
Yeah it just defeats the purpose of having a pursuit/track bike with that much rise. Lol.

yes
Reminds me of that super dropped reddit bike that noone believed it would be rideable. Frame color is beautiful but the rest ... meh
I remember that one! Everyone said it couldn't be ridden boy he sure proved them wrong!
Affinity Lo Pro frameset, $ 550.
Still alive fixed gear 🙌🏻
Track end looks damn short, seriously?
