This is cool, practical and looks so sturdy. They are selling non electric manual washers, but they are all flimsy plastic and look like they wouldn't survive a year, plus they appear to be for small lightweight loads. What some commenters are not understanding (or don't want to), is that this is a way of life for some people. Anyway, thanks folks I appreciate the demo.
I enjoy taking care of all the housework while my husband works to put food on the table. Apparently a lot of women don't feel the same way judging by the comments. I have been doing this for almost ten years now and it is not getting old by any means. If someone enjoys taking care of their family in more traditional roles and everyone is happy why judge that?
Yes! I am the same way... My hubby works hard and makes good money, but I like doing things the old way.. I want of these washers!! Most women are too spoiled and would not even know what hard work was but those of us who do, do it because we have that natural passion down deep inside to for our home and family the old fashion way... Nothing wrong with it!!
I like this manual washer. It would be good to have for when you are out of power, or just have a few items of clothing that need to be hand washed. Real inspirational.
You are one hard working woman,, never heard of this kind of washer but now I am glad to see how this works. Really wish where I am from we had something like this way back in the old days. We had to go to the River to do our laundry till the Washing Machine came. cheers !!
I wish they were nearby, i would love one. Right now I do all my laundry by hand, in a kids swimming pool. Been looking for a old wringer washer, but no luck.
We love you & your wife's warm & friendly personality! You both make well done videos! Please keep making them. We also join others in wondering if Mountain Man would consider making Dasher washers. Your version seems much better & sturdier than what Lehman carries.
Gone through 4 or 5 washing machines on our farm in 3 years. Stupid circuit board fries, or it starts eating the plastic parts or clothes and the company doesnt honor the extended warranty. This wouldnt break and would be faster to use. I need one!!!! Sometimes simple is better.
Yes. Also a 55 gallon plastic drum has threaded holes for a drain. If I made one It would be a 30 gallon or 55 gallon drum. Or the type where a 30 gal drum rotates inside a 55 gal drum. With that type you get a spin cycle. BUT !!! Simplicity lasts and works better usually. I will pray and start drinking heavily.
Misty, thank you for keeping these videos up. Now that my child beating days (sadly)seem to be coming to an end I'm coming back to all these videos and making lists of things I'm gonna build or buy. This is one major thing I'm makin'.
I was looking at the store bought one of these, and OH MY GOODNESS THE PRICE! Plus, the tub looks way too small and even for me at 4'11" way too short. If I'm going to spend that much, I don't want to have to do anything to it to make it taller. My husband can build anything he sets his mind to, and he welds, so I'm having a little conversation with him tonight when he asks me AGAIN what I want for Christmas. This is definitely the way to go if you have the means to build it. Thank you so much for this video. God bless you and yours.
Some of these commenting below , don't seem to understand the concept of hard work, and that the scripture tells us that work has its reward. The more labor I do, the more rewarding it feels. @@tammydetrick6279 I can tell you when hurricane Sandy hit, there was no electricity for days, for some people weeks and for other people, a month depending how close you lived to the water. Once electricity was back, the line at the laundromat went for hours.I would definitely get a handwasher.
@@serenitypeaceandcomfort3669 I don’t have one of these. But I am capable of doing all of my laundry by hand. I have everything I need except for an out door clothes line. But if something should happen someone would string one up for me.
gingergargoyle. .Well I'm either going to find a hobby husband to do what I care about OR I'm packing up my little camper and homesteading myself. Feel like starting a group for women called, We Can Do It and Get Things Done!
THANK YOU !!!! Great Video. Why do REVENUERs ( Sorry I mean ZOMBIES ) attack nice people during chores. Will pray for an answer. Don’t think I will get an an answer. But I will make a washing like yours machine like yours -- with tap. 5 gallon buckets not getting cloths clean. 😂😂 Again THANK YOU !!! ❤❤
No need for electricity and very efficient way to wash a clothes. My only remark would be on a disposal of dirty water. Simply tossing it in your garden or lawn is not a best solution. Maybe storing the dirty water in some kimd of container and driving it to nearby town to dispose. Or using enviromentally friendly soaps or dergents in the first place!? But, thank you for a great idea. I might us it on my own.
Guess where towns dispose of it? They dump it in a field because the best filter is the ground...hence why the women in this just dump it. Same as when they drain the tanks in camper trailers. You can have a drain plug you pull and have it empty in a pit filled will different sized gravel that helps filter out floating bits if you like...but it still all goes into the ground.
Misty shooter where are you I know I'm not the only one that just love to see another video of you and the kids but maybe you have reasons you don't want to at least there's these old ones to see

Go the Leihmans the have them there but it's very expensive

This is awesome!!we live off grid i just told my husband we need to build one!! Thank you for explaining and sharing!!

I'm so glad I've found this channel! This is all I'm watching till I've seen them all! 💜😻 God bless the whole beautiful family 🙏
I love this. I feel my Malungeon ancestry watch this video (Appalachian Hill of North Carolina.)❤😂🎉😅😊
Thank you for sharing! They are so expensive so building it is really the best way to go!
Suggestion: A plastic composting barrel? Some have valves for composting fluids to drain.
I wish they were nearby, i would love one. Right now I do all my laundry by hand, in a kids swimming pool. Been looking for a old wringer washer, but no luck.
I love it ! I am looking forward to buying me the Lehman's Own Laundry Hand washer with Laundry Wringer. Awesome !!!!
You are a strong woman ! My back would of been out at num. 5 . Great Video !
I really enjoy your videos Misty. Keep up the good work.
Ps looks loke it actually cleans a lot better than my automatic washer does!!
Wow that is amazing i would like to know. How can buy that wash my colthes that is amazing. I learn something new what a amazing thing

wow, what a cool video. i love my technology but its always nice to have the skills needed to manage. well done.
I used one of those for a year about every day . I called it a rocker washer. It was a old one. In the winter it froze me to death.🕊✌👍
This was so cool. Thank u for filming it. I didnt realize things like this even existed...
What a fantastic machine ;D thank you for sharing
Brilliant! Great video!
That thing is great ! It just needs a drain hole and rubber sink plug. GOOD JOB
i SAW ONE OF THESE about 10 yrs ago...and I still want one 😁👍 It agitates as good as any washing machine!
That is SOOOO...... much better than using a wash-board!
SUGGESTION: perhaps a cut 55gal plastic barrel as a solid, rot proof body.
edit: the bung can be left in as a drain

This looks like an awesome machine to get things clean.
Ok I definitely need to build one of these!!

im using an old GE wringer washer. I need to have my husband cobble together one of these!!
That is so neat and y'all are so cool.😁
very neat!
Cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc I’ll be pooped 😊 TFS
Pretty cool, never saw anything like that!!
I JUST LOVE YOUR VIDEOS SO GLAD I FOUND YOU
Wow!!! That’s a lot of work!!!
How long does that take? I'll bet it works better than my new washer that doesn't clean my clothes at all.

Susie Arviso You are so right! God bless you!
And to see folks complaining about using a automatic washer
I like the Dasher, but I always feel like the wringing out is the hardest part.
If you got one of those roller wringers and clamped it to the flat side, that would take the work out
I am in the UK and would love to have something like this to use.
Hello....I was wondering if you put up the video that she made for building one...thank you.
I'm looking all over on how to build one. Lehmans sells them for 700 dollars!
Any idea where I can buy a used one ?
I love your vidéos !, wonderful, i am from Algéria. Ilove you Mistys.
You can save strain on your lower back by standing beside the handle and moving it back and forth from there to avoid the leaning.

wait you get good excercise for arms abd a beautiful view i dig it
We have the one that Lehman's sells we love it yes they do clean much better than the auto machine will we also have the ringer for it too.
My great aunt has one. I was wondering how well this cleans cloth diapers.
Honestly, I've done cloth diapering and I feel like this would clean them better than an electric washer!
I feel a binge watch coming on!
i enjoy this while watching the video very simple machine

HORSE BLANKETS. heavy comforters. Large heavy mats. This type of washer would be best.
I'm glad she left this life style. She'll live a lot longer and without all those aches and pains .
I want one... it would be better to use an eco friendly laundry soap
I want to buy one!
please don't be offended by this question. Are you Amish? wondering because of your clothing. You work so bloody hard. I hope you get a vacation.

Add a ringer on the side maybe?

It may look somewhat romantic and nostalgic but definitely "painful". I'll take my "civilized" appliances over any time :-)
She does have a standard unit. She said that she use to use it.
What I was saying is that she clearly said she has a regular washer now. She's using the manual one for her rugs.
After long 4 year's"THANKS" from INDIA.
Can now use grey water harvesting system.yes house work is work.
Those rugs were filthy.
Firstly id hook that thing up to a rocking chair, secondly....wot no mangle, you should get that man of yours to make you a mangle
The rocking chair is actually a pretty good idea.
Actually the rocking chair is a good idea
I wish I knew of a place where I could get one of these! Cause I would !!!

The dasher one can use pvc pipes. I got 2 orange colored plastic barrels are coming. I have my mangle already. So wish me luck

Rugged looking women, the exercise apparently does good as well as doing the laundry. The drainage needs an upgrade.
