I don’t know who running this channel.. but Please keep it going. Dance was the replacement for the ceremonies we had together as a community as indigenous ppl. Dance 🪩 is our soul moving. It was one of the only times black and brown ppl felt free. Dance is spiritual and necessary to be a balanced human. The soul speaks when we move. We need soul train back in every city on a tour to see all the beautiful ppl that love to dance. I believe in the bottom of my heart this would reduce crime. This would be a great experiment to see can we shift our culture with dance 💃🏽 and music 🎶 ANYONE ELSE AGREE?

Wow! This bring back so many memories. I dance on Soul Train as well in 1975 - 1976. Unlike Patricia, I wasn't a regular dancer. But because I seen on the show it open avenues for me. However, I never told my correct age at the time I was too young to perform on the show. The production mgr. Approached me to become a regular; that's when they found out about my age. I had to set out for a year until I turned 16. In the meantime, In 1976 I became first runner- up for Miss Black America. To say the less, I never return to SoulTrain. But did get some gigs and request from likes to audition for Solid Gold dancers and Prince.

What a wonderful mini history lesson! Patricia, if you are reading this - you are still beautiful! I started watching this show as a 7 year old girl, thinking that you all were so grown up and adult, not realizing that you were all still kids, yourselves! What a beautiful legacy you helped to create!

I never get tired, seeing these stories of the dancers, learning & knowing more about them. This is a part of our culture & history. Glad to have been around even though I was a small kid back then, to witness such great moments that can never be duplicated. Pat was beautiful then & still to this day. What a beautiful spirit she possesses.

For sure Pat Davis was always my favorite Soul Train dancer!! I loved her dance moves, attire & beauty (which she still possesses)! I remember wearing a butterfly in my hair & emulating Pat Davis' dance moves when I was a young teen. Thank you, Pat, for sharing your talents and love with the world. God bless you always! Angela

She loved and respected her Mother and Aunt.
Her Mother stayed on top of what she was doing rather than just putting her out there at an early age to be used and abused. Thanks to God for giving us good, caring parents and family. She was guidance and a set of good values at an early age.
Along with her talent, her background boosted her towards suggest.
Glad she was featured in this video. 😊 5 stars for this one!

Patricia Davis was always my favorite Soul Train dancer. I lived everything about her hair styles, her outfits, the way she moved, the ornaments that she wore. Patricia Davis danced with so much style, flair and grace. Watching Patricia Davis dance her way down the Soul Train line on Saturday mornings was a treat. There were many great dancers on Soul Train, but Patricia Davis stood out among the crowd. I use to pattern my look and dance style after her. To me, Patricia Davis was Soul Train.

I agree because by the middle 80's it seemed that the dancers seemed to be auditioning for music videos instead of just enjoying themselves like the dancers of the 70's
