I think a good point you failed to mention, for saddle hunters that like to go lightweight, it’s tough to beat the the Thor’s and Colorado’s (4flex) for comfort for all day sits. The stiffer flex I’ve found in both boots acts kinda like a mini platform as far as stability goes. If you’re leaning against your small platform or even skipping a platform and just standing on the top step of your sticks, the stiffer 4 flex acts as a platform. Especially when combined with Sheep Feet orthotics. I’ve gone from wearing flip flops and zero drop minimalist shoes, to mostly wearing Crispi’s with Sheep Feet. Incredibly comfortable boots for hunting and every day.
Need to upgrade the insoles - The ones in my Colorado's hurt the front bottom of my feet from the first day. I changed them out with a Sofsole (nothing great - had in another pair of boots).....was soooo much better. The Crispi insoles are paper thin and have NO cushion to them. Do not cheap out on the insoles.....they are not that expensive. However, it is the difference between making the boot wearable and not. Like putting a Yugo engine in a Corvette.
What would you say the coolest/most breathable boot you guys make is. My feet sweat a ton, and I am hoping to find something to mitigate that a little. I need something 8 inch or more.
I live in CT and I mostly saddle hunt white tails and hike. I go Midwest whitetail hunting as well what boot would you recommend for early season hunting and tree stand hunting? I already have cold weather boots for late season.
What boot then, would you recommend for a wider foot? I know you said if you have a wider foot, this isn’t in your wheelhouse what boot, then, would be in the Wheelhouse for a wider foot
Is there a trick to lacing the Laponia? Tried on at a dealer and liked the boot but the cleat below an eyelet seemed hard to get tight while I was getting through the eyelet.
Looking for the perfect boot for pronghorn spot and stock. The attiva low is my every day shoe and have the Valdres Plus GTX for archery elk. Tried the Lapponia GTX (1) but didn't have the "Crispi" fit I love so much. My biggest concern is how it stands up to the sticky pokey things that are everywhere in pronghorn county. Thanks in advance!
The Lapponia II should hold up well against abrasion and puncture. Please feel free to give our customer support team a call. They would love to walk you through some early season options and help you narrow it down.
The Summit will be our lightest weight, most breathable option for Women. You could also look at the Skarven II which is an uninsulated, leather women's hunting boot.

Throw some Sheep Feet orthotics in and you’ll never look back. Ridiculously comfortable.

Any idea when more Altitudes will be available? Preferably the green. Great looking boot.
This is great. I’m in the market.
