Love him or not, Lars was serious about creating Metallica before the band ever existed. Dude has a skill for arrangements and is probably one of the most business-savvy guys in rock/metal.

Lars has a vision for things unlike anything I’ve seen. He reminds me of the Steve Jobs of music. His approach to Metallica is always outside of the box. Love him for that.

If it wasn't for Lars Metallica wouldn't be where they are today, his vision, hard work and just sheer tenacity \m/

Metallica has always been special in their approach to their work. Not only Lars too. It's some kind of band policy.

I wish they would have taken Jason more seriously when he was in Metallica. Yeah he was a fan at heart but that's not his fault. Metallica were biggest band even before Jason joined

I hope and pray that Lars decides one day to write a Autobiography and puts a lot of this stuff in the book !

Lars' drumming has been questionable since the early 90's at least... that bein said. His vision, ear for a riff and song structure is pretty much unparalleled in heavy music. The man's definitely earned his "Legend" status.
