  • The Xpedition Voyager is one amazingly well thought out and engineered overland camp trailer! Here's a quick video of the trailer and some of our gear during a dry run set up at home. Lots to learn and practice before we make it efficient out on the trail!

    Way over priced for beginners , needs a much bigger water capacity & I am not a fan of rooftop tents for many reasons.
    But most people are too spoiled & soft today

    Any issues towing with your Wrangler? Do you have the 3.6L?
    Any issues with clearance with the 32" KO2's and assuming the Timbren 2" lift?

    • @prov431
      @prov431  2 года назад

      No issues, our wrangler is the 3.6, we re-geared to 4.88 which makes significant difference. We haven't taken the trailer anywhere off-road -- it's actually up for sale as of 6/28

      @prov431  Год назад +1

      @woggersworld862 we were one of the first owners of the Voyager trailer, that being said base and option prices rose quite a bit since we purchased it, plus we sold it with all the extras we added... we didn't lose anything on the deal, and of course, the trailer was still practically new... with no build wait if you wanted it.

    Disappointed to see that use budget Chinese batteries for their lithium battery upgrade. I would think they would use premium batteries such as Battleborn when you're dropping 40k + for a trailer

    • @prov431
      @prov431  2 года назад +2

      The Chin lithium batteries were purchased by me, not Xpedition... and FWIW, they may be less expensive however they're right there in performance with the SOG and other top brands. Do some research and save yourself a buck.

    I’m getting the same trailer. And I’m also getting a roam box for the top of the tongue box. I wonder if there’s a way to mount it without using a ratchet strap… although I don’t really want to drill holes into the roof do I. Ummm I had a question but forgot what I was going to ask.

    • @prov431
      @prov431  2 года назад +1

      I've thought of removing the spare tire and mounting the roof box on the tongue, or some variation. I didn't hard mount the current roof box for the same reason - the straps work well and no need to go drilling holes in anything!

    • @spartaforever3636
      @spartaforever3636 2 года назад +2

      I mounted a Pelican box (perfect fit) and used 'HEAVY DUTY OUTSIDE VELCRO' (3M) on both sides and then ran a cable lock through each handle and a lock on each. Secure fit to the top of the box (as far as moving around etc).

    • @spartaforever3636
      @spartaforever3636 2 года назад

      Also, ran a ROAM out the back behind the Roof Top Tent on a mount I made of aluminum. Holds my tent accessories etc.

    • @prov431
      @prov431  2 года назад

      @@spartaforever3636 Nice idea - the 62 RTT leaves a decent amount of space there for a box, solar (what I did) and whatever else you might want to mount! The only consideration is the 270 awning needs to clear it.

    • @spartaforever3636
      @spartaforever3636 2 года назад

      @@prov431 I have a 270 and it clears easily. Side note: I believe you and I live very close to each other and were to receive our rigs together but ended up getting mine early.
