nice design. pretty reasonable relative to other rv trailers. very nice looking and low weight. pretty cool. I like your good ideas also like the pass-thru kitchen door and the swing-out kitchenette. I like the angled roof although I'm thinking that might increase the cost to produce a little. The angled porthole windows look just great. Also it's good that you get some privacy since the windows are up high. I guess the angles help it be stable in high wind too. You're a great salesman. friendly and respectful. nice.
The beveling also reduces its cross sectional area and wind resistance. But yeah, I imagine it makes it more stable in a cross-wind. I think the cabin must be shorter than other cabins, unless it's just got less clearance, underneath. I think a typical compact teardrop is something like 6 feet tall. This thing looks like it's a smidge over 5 feet tall. It was almost like entering the Tardis, when I saw the interior. It's the shortest teardrop around, I think. I bet a Tacoma would barely feel it.
Awesome trailer. This trailer is about half the price of comparable off-road trailers on the market today. The features shown in this video justifies the price alone . This is not your typical travel trailer. The design of this trailer is meant for getting into areas that a regular travel trailer won’t. Also the graphics on this trailer look to be a vinyl wrap, not paint. With a wrap anything you can imagine can be done. Keep up the great work Mammoth!
I got to see the Mammoth trailer at the Overland Expo West 2022. I saw it as it came in and it caught my eye. For the most part I like the trailer and as I can tell the price is good for everything you get. However, it appears it lacks quality storage space. I am shopping around at the moment getting ideas and comparing different models as is price, accessories, storage, ease of use (disabled veteran), weight, height, roof weight limit, possible custom modifications. When I am blessed and things start coming my way, The mammoth trailer is on my list for consideration.
The departure angle on the rear of the trailer makes it ideal for off road. also the water tank being housed inside of the insulated trailer makes it 4 seasons capable. That is what sold me. As well as they are local to me. It is a bit wider than most. But only as wide as the track width. It will still get in the narrow trails here in the pnw. As long as your rig can get thru, the trailer will follow. Haters gonna hate mammoth. Straight up advertising the sticker price. Hahahha. I dont see any other builders advertising on a trailer thats not built from wood

So, things to improve: 1) propane is not hard plumbed. You need to actually detach the canister from the front and walk it around back to attach. 2) While the back door acts as an awning for the fridge, there is nothing to cover the stove. So if you want to eat while it's raining you're going to still need an extra something to cover it. 3) Mounting anything else to the rack - such as a privacy shelter (instead of the dumb free standing one), is going to be a pain since the top sides angle in, meaning you're going to have to fabricate some kind of extension arms. 4) It looks difficult to get to the roof in general with that angled roof. A ladder would certainly help this issue. 5) While the swing out galley is great, it looks like you're really limited on cabinet space. A single pass-through with a couple of small nooks isn't really cutting it nowadays. 6) Should we assume that the Dometic fridge shown on the front of the camper at the very beginning means that the supplied fridge is inadequate? Why this is not supplied with a better fridge is a real head scratcher. "Make sure you check our website" - if anyone has checked the website you'll know that it has got to be one of the worst websites out there. Crazy slow to load. No links to the reservation form (at least for me) unless you access via mobile or Edge. The "cart" and payment page are useless. Doesn't fill me with warm fuzzy feelings, sadly. Doesn't quite work on Chrome or Opera. And the lack of information is staggering. This should raise a lot of concerns with anyone thinking to buy. However, at about $10K+ less than comparable campers, maybe these are things that can be overlooked, especially if you have available space in your tow vehicle. However, the lack of communication from the company to people on RUclips or Facebook asking questions is a bit disturbing.
Yeah, I share similar concerns. I did email them with very specific questions and they replied. The accessories (fridge, stove, etc.) are pretty low end so I guess you get what you pay for. I'd imagine they might need to get replaced sooner than some of the more premium brands other competitors are using. The propane situation and lack of storage space is a dealbreaker for me personally.
