@ETAPRIME Thanks for the video and your content. I have a similar device M90Q. Would it be possible to install a 3060? Im really on a tight budget (like no budget) but if I can scrounge something together I would try with a 3060.
I bought a Windows 11 Pro key from vip-urcdkey for $23. It worked perfectly, and I’ve had no issues for over six months now. Highly recommend!
vip-urcdkey saved me a lot of money-definitely a great choice for buying Windows keys!
Hey eta prime i have a question that rtx 3050 required 300w psu so how are u running it with 270w psu ?
And I'm also thinking about building it with an rtx 4060 low profile which requires 450 w psu so will it work with a 300 w laptop adapter and i will replace that cpu with i9 9900k
i love it when you do cheap SFF built. The world needed SFF.. we dont have space anymore....😢
😅very good point. We don't have space in 2024!
I'm definitely building this with an Intel arc a380 lp it would be super clean plus it's less than 170$
This is not Sff. It's usff. So even smaller 😂
its not a sff its a tiny but yeah pretty cool
funny when you say "i know not everybody's going to like the look of this" twice at 11:35😆
He actually didn't say it twice, it was just a bad edit point where he made part of the video (or voiceover) and came back to it later on to pick up where he left off. It happens alot with him, sometimes 2 or 3 times in 1 video...
I know people think these videos are done in 1 shot but they're not. It could take 3 to 4 days, sometimes a week to make a 10 min. video in this way...unless you're the type to just do it raw with bad lighting, audio, and jerky camera movements.
i know not everybody's going to like the look of this
This is such a dope little wall build very cyberpunk
Dude every video you produce lately is just killer idea after killer idea. I love that you are doing so many interesting builds that are outside the norm, especially when you are repurposing budget friendly hardware. You've certainly found a niche. Keep it up!
These Lenovos are awesome. I have an m720Q paired with a 10G network card serving as my home router.
Same. 720 with an i5 and a 4 port NIC. Awesome little Firewall.
I run Proxmox one of those.
me too, as daily driver working as remote software engineer... sufficient enough
The main reason I like this channel is because you will show us stuff just because they are "cool" and thats more than what we need! xD
This is the content that makes this channel unique.i hope those haters will see this video.
I'm liking the looks, it looks organic in a mechanical way.
Something like this with an AMD CPU and a Radeon card running Bazzite would be an awesome TV gaming setup!
I haven’t been able to figure out how to disable PROCHOT in Bazzite
I'd like to see you take a small screen, keyboard and mouse and make it a powerful laptop/ desktop convertable.
Hey ETA - here is the thing you could also try doing with M920q. It is to get cooler of P330 Tiny .
P330 Tiny is the workstation version of M920q that comes with extra m2 slot - but also comes with full cooper cooler
that + it is also good idea to sand down the IHS of the CPU you put into that PC
did that with 2 units already - one with RX 6400 and i7-8700T and other with Quadro T1000 and i5-9400T :D
Do you need PCIe riser for P330 if I want to upgrade gpu? And what gpu do you recommed for P330?
@@fr.majoris7925It already comes with one, you can swap the Quadro P620 GPU it often comes with, all tho sometimes you find a P1000 which is better but you can also upgrade that one to an RTX A400 or the T1000 which is probably the best GPU you can have inside one of these or from the AMD side you can put an RX 6400 (low profile) and as for the CPU you can upgrade up to a Core i9 9900T.
A franken-build just in time for Halloween. Love it
Lenovo also sells a Tiny PC with 12th gen intel chips, and PCIE slot. I want one of those, and just run a RX6400 to fit inside the case and not draw any extra power.
Model number please?

@@stephengerlach828 I'd go for the A2000, or the 4000 sff.
I need this kind of setup for my office...thanks for the inspiration 👍👍👍👍👍
This was such a cool package. I wish there were more budget single slot GPU options that didn't have so many issues. Maybe the Arc A380 single slot conversion OR maybe we even just go with a little Quadro. But for sure the 3050 makes the most sense from a system balance perspective. I need a BIG company to make a single slot 3050.
A380 wouldnt work well because this pc doesnt support resizable bar. But you are right, the rtx a1000 and the yeston 3050 6gb are the 2 best cards for this pc (without case mod).
I almost build a new pc before I stumbled on this video. Upgrading from Vega 8 to a RX6400 will be godlike 🙏
3050 LP = the way to go
@@sheesh7719 I have an Lenovo Thincentre M920x with an Core i7 8700T and a AMD RX6400 since one year, now i tryed to upgrade with this Yeston RTX3500 but everytime when i start a Benchmark with a stress test or a game like Metro Exodus the PC shut down after one Minute, i tryed also a Lenovo 300W Power Device with no effect. The TPD from this card too high for this MiniPC.
"Not for everybody" but definitely for me! This is very cool, i like open-air designs and the screen is a nice touch
I have to admit...this is pretty slick.
At last, Thank you for sharing the idea!
ETA have to use rtx 3050 or rx 6400 gpus with minipcs like this, because they need only pci-e power. Otherwise additional atx power supply required.
I made one of these. A non T version though. & paired it with a RX 6400 LP. 🤔With I believe... a 130w adapter. Works fine with the OEM top on. I stuck 2 small 40mm fans (usb) side by side to the front to blow a little air (airflow) into the case where the CPU is. The GPU side of the OEM top actually has a vented square above the GPU fan. Though I've still been thinking of switching to a better fully vented 3D printed top.
i love how this looks so much
great project , would love to see more like this
I built a similar system with a Lenovo P330 tiny using a i9-9900T and a Dell RX 6500 LP. Thing's pretty quick for what it is, and the video card fits inside the 1L chassis.
@@dz187is that rx6500 better than a 6400?

The mini status displays are great as long as they accurately report in real time
This is very nice man I did not know they had small pc like this that could do that.
Are there a lot of small things like this out there?
I want to see more.
stunning work kudos
If you don’t want the hassle of modding the M910X has a version that comes with an RX460 which still plays a lot of games, downside is 7th gen i7 which won’t allow windows 11 to install officially.
BD PROCHOT is short for Bi Directional Processor hot. It's a means of keeping the processor cooler when it's experiencing load from multiple sources. So technically it should probably be pronounced as pross-hot despit being spelled like proc hot. It's actually a safety measure for pc's that don't get maintained long term. It's why you often see it in business class minipc's and laptops.
So should I disable it if I wanna game?
@@alvzcizzler It's mostly a means of lowering temps to preserve longevity. If you want your pc to run as fast as possible turn it off. Just be aware it might cause heat buildup and may shorten components life spans.
@exturkconner I'll reapply thermal paste for the CPU and clean up the fan for good measure
This also works with the m720q. You can also put a 9th gen cpu in it. I used to have an m720q with an i9-9900K.

I have the M720Q and RTX A2000. Currently the M720Q is running with a Quadro P1000. I was looking into doing this with my RTX A2000, but it just ain't worth it IMO. One: the pcie of the M720Q is 8x, not a 16x. And two, regardless of what power brick you use with the Tiny, the Pcie slot is capped at 50W, meaning any card with 70W need to have it's boost regulated to fit within the 50W envelope. So I not only have to run the RTX at half the bandwidth, but also cap its boost abilities....compromises started to pile up. Looks cute, but that's far as I'd go.
I have an Lenovo Thincentre M920x with an Core i7 8700T and a AMD RX6400 since one year, now i tryed to upgrade with this Yeston RTX3500 but everytime when i start a Benchmark with a stress test or a game like Metro Exodus the PC shut down after one Minute, i tryed also a Lenovo 300W Power Device with no effect. @@markusi.1927 maybe your power brick is not genuine?
@@markusi.1927I’ve been looking everywhere for someone to comment about this. I have m920q with Yeston RTX 3050 and non genuine 230w power supply and mine shuts down randomly during gaming. I can’t figure out if it’s the power supply or not. GPU pulls about 60w in afterburner.

Did ETA mention the program he uses for the stat display? Pretty neat!

16GB single stick + 8GB single stick is still running in single channel. Am I missing something here? Did RAM config rules changed? To make it a dual channel configuration, you need to a similar 16GB stick running at the same speed, and if it is running slower, the whole system will run at the slower speed.
Don't know, some said that it will run at dual channel until the lowest capacity full then it'll switch to single channel to move the load to the bigger capacity. This is just my theory, never checked any research
I think the first 8g of the 16g stick will run in dual channel. If you run more than 16g total, the machine run at single channel 😮
@@zechengwang9776 Ys, you are correct and that mode is called Hybrid Dual Channel Mode.
It'll run dual channel at the slowest speed and lowest capacity.
@@vinyfiny So, basically 16 GB as dual channel and 8 GB as single channel (since total is 24GB with 8GB stick being the lowest capacity).
throttle stop 🤯 could you do an review on some of the software tools you use for testing and optimizing systems
many thanks and you always get a like on all your videos from me 🥰
Even if you could rise the TDP you will be VRM limited. I don't know this 920Q but in a 720 non-Q the VRM's max power delivery is around 50W (tested with a 4890HQ with interposer) and also the VRM get very hot (I had to stick a little heatsink)
Hi, saw your comment - i have attempted to add the RTX A2000 to a Lenovo m720q and i think i ran into that exact problem. got black screen if the card went under load. would be great if anybody knows with certainty if the m920q delivers 70w via the pcie slot or not
@@domifresh8079 The pcie slot in those Tinys is rated to 50W, above this you need to do some tweaking like undervolting, limiting the maximum clock speed or disabling BD PROCHOT. For example, the T1000 has 50W TDP and can run full load without any tweaking when pared with a 35W CPU on m920q.
@@BrunoManiniThanks for the reply.
I already disabled BD PROCHOT. But from your answer i assume there is no way i can run an A2000 full speed in a tiny?
Not even a Workstation model like the Thinkstation p330 tiny? Thanks in advance!
@@domifresh8079 FWIK, even though the A2000 has a boost clock rated at 1200Mhz, it can shoot up beyond 2000Mhz for a very short time going beyond the 70W TDP, this is what probably causes your black screen problem. Some had solved this issue using Afterburner to limit the max gpu clock to around 1500MHz. The workstation model has a more robust VRM, maybe it can handle the high power consumption a little better. I replaced my m920q stock aluminum CPU heat sink for the 01MN631 from Aliexpress, it has cooper fins and thermal pads to help cool the VRM's. I'm also using a 135W power supply and a T1000 GPU. This setup runs very stable whitout any tweaking, but I'm dreaming with a RTX A2000.

If you want the absolute best graphics inside this mini PC then you can get the RTX A1000 but won't be cheap, settle for the T1000 instead

2. Can you please send me the link of the small display screen? I think it's cool. 04:10
No it's not necessary unless unless your GPU is power hungry above 55W, I'd say stick to the RTX A400 or the T1000 which is even better or on the AMD side the RX 6400 (low profile) or if you want the absolute best (that I know of) inside this tiny PC then the A1000, well that would be the A2000 but it's even more expensive, for me something like the T1000 is more than enough
