Oh gosh, who needs a gym membership when renovating an old house. Could you do a little intro video of who you are, how long you have been renovating, area of France, end dream? Marie those are some fancy construction boots you’re wearing 😂 good luck with the cement pour
Hey! We absolutely want to do an intro video, introducing us, how we found the house, etc… we just feel like we are too small on RUclips for that yet lol Last year when we were cleaning the hoarders’ house, I wore these boots and a giant nail got on the bottom… the sole is sooo thick that I didn’t feel a thing! Thanks for watching! 😊
Wow, literally “tons” of work! You can see you worked days and nights. Glad they are looking into fixing the septic tank, and that you received some refunds from the honest concrete company. 👍
Y'all. I am very worried about the amount of water that comes into that house! I looks like you are doing the right thing with all of the rocks, but it's not going to stop the problem. Are there going to be French drains around the house? Sump pumps? I'd recommend both. Also a dehumidifier to keep the mold at bay. I haven't seen many European homes with air conditioning so in the summer that mildew is going to be a beast so I'm thinking a dehumidifier is going to be a necessity without A/C. But I'm an old lady in the USA that is a bit of a busybody. Just worried is all. You do you. Cheers from North Carolina USA
Hey, We got the ground study and they said that our property had water around 50cm deep. It’s supposedly not flood-able…To be honest it’s our phobia (humidity)! This is exactly why we are preparing the slabs with so much stones under! Definitely will have french drains around the house plus A/C! Our septic tank installer is putting in a sum pump very soon too… but yeah it’s Bordeaux (Bords of water 🤷🏻♀️). Our neighbor’s house (after some work of course) looks fine! Wish us luck! Much love to North Carolina 🥰
Hey! We had the ground study done on our property… the water doesn’t go above 50cm below ground level. The property is « supposedly » not floodable. We have water because we dug deep to remove the clay and replace it by stones. All these steps we’re taking are for blocking humidity to come up like it used to be.. and of course we will add french drains around the house! 😊
Best video edit yet. Nice to see both of you working on the project. A two wheeled wheelbarrow would work great for you all. 😀 Eric.
Thanks a lot Eric, always kind words!
Didn’t think about a two wheeled wheelbarrow (Maria) 🤔 could really help me!
Have a wonderful weekend 😊

Put more stones in the front of the wheel barrel and less in the back. Will make it easier to move.
Will definitely use this trick for the next time! 😊
How are you dealing with all that ground water in the flooring?😮
