@Sam Saw your great interview with Joe E. ❤ enjoyed every minute of it. I know this will be outstanding. You and Ren can't miss and a shoutout to the whole crew behind the scenes!
Sam's filming is as masterful & brilliant as your music, Ren. Storytelling, filmmaking, theatre at the level of genius. No record deal could give you this uniqueness. Devoted fan, aged 57.
@@pirada74 👌❤totally, he is very talented, without talking/rapping about crap. His music is amazing and his words are easy to hear and understand, a lot of artists just keep the same beat, but not Ren he makes a great beat up in each of his song. Best I've seen in a Long Time, Ren has his own sound its perfect 😍 🕊🕊🕊
As a musician myself, my favorite artists are the ones who force me to pay closer attention, the ones who make me feel something. You've done it again.
@@RenMakesMusic I am hoping your return to your art means you are feeling better! Our society has a much better chance at healing, with your voice and art disturbing the comfortable... and bringing comfort to those of us who have long been disturbed by our profoundly sick society. Thank you for refusing to be quiet.
@@JeremySmith-sx2oz I agree with Rem. If we continue like this, we, as humans, don`t have a future. I am gratefull for discovering Rem, one of the best storytellers. The world needs more Rems and less Rihanas, Beyonces and similar craps.
@@RenMakesMusicthe world needs more ren you can change minds don’t give up ever bro talent is an understatement the best artist don’t get fully known till they are gone sad but true just know you that guy.
Keep screaming. A byproduct of this form of capitalism we developed is it's permanence. It can't be modified because it's against the spirit of capitalism and the way it works.
Every video! As well as every single song. They make you think, they're also unbelievably relatable to everyone in one way or another! They are stories told in amazing music form.
I genuinely think that Ren is the most important artist in the world today. I’ve never felt the obligation, desire and the *need* to share an artists work as broadly as I can, because the message resonates so much and demands to be heard.
Good morning beautiful. Good rising . It’s real. We are everywhere. They couldn’t keep us down . Or how they tried. So many lies. Truth seekers are seeing behind the curtains. No more smoke and mirrors. Can’t stop this.
As a 71 year old, im pretty hard to impress anymore. But this young man has blown me away! Im so grateful to be alive to witness the sucess of such an amazing artist as Ren! People with his talent are getting rare these days. We are blessed to have him! ❤❤❤
I'm 61, and I feel the same way. Ren is the most important musician to come our way in a long, long time. I feel privileged to be here to witness his genius.
What other artist can you think of that is loved by country, rock, rap, hip hop, edm, jazz, and classical fans. Ren is a gift to our era and he has shown the light on a number of other amazing, original artists
I thought at 47 I was too old to become "a fan" of any new artist. My favourite music is 60s/70s rock. Before my time but I felt that musicians expressed themselves more freely then. I never thought that I'd find an artist that would impress me as much as Pink Floyd. Thanks to the Internet, artists now have a platform to produce what they want and boy has that produced one of the most unique and gifted talents ever to grace the industry. Ren has suffered to get to where he is now and although a curse for him, for the rest of us it is a gift. 🎶Oh, reign, reign reign Rens music it will reign It's such a shame, the price you paid But it all lead, to this old money game🎶
My second ever album 'Sick Boi' is out now! bio.to/Ren-Sick-Boi As always here are the lyrics for anyone who wants them! Moneys an invention, politics from our invention They all come from peoples ideas did I mention Borders our invention Law and order fuel the tension that leads to people killing each other? My solution Everything is subject to change We can builds Utopias if individuals are taught to use there’s brains But if we teach kids in school to always be sheep And put ourselves before the heard if there’s more money for me Then there’s no future I see, where the humans survive Were parasites in side a petridish With cannibal minds Mould grows upon a surface it consumes till it dies And our fate could be the same, so here’s a story for the wise 45 jimmy comes home out of the rain Soaking wet upon a wheel chair, drinking again Everything he wants he has fortune and fame He’s a fortunate fool with an unfortunate fate With a 45 calibre aimed at his brain 45 a fitting number cause his age is same Hears the words of his father; ‘such a damn shame’ Then he presses on the trigger of a money game
Awhile ago i made a comment saying Jenny and Screech was peak for Ren. He replied to my comment saying "wait for money game part 3" He wasn't kidding, this is master class. Love seeing this dude break through on the billboards. Keep climbing Ren, we will be with you the whole way up!
Right?? My current all time favourite is Hi Ren. Or maybe Suic*de. Maybe this one. Or any other one of his songs really! 😅 Can't wait what else he has in store!
The fact that this video has so many views and so few likes shows how many people don't understand how important it is to like and comment to promote what you like and share really good musicians with more people. It's really sad, I always try to share what I really like.
I hadnt heard of Ren an hour ago. Now im on a journey and my jaw is still on the floor. Putting the art back in music. Im still trying to process how amazing this guy is. Just WOW
Tbh I think Rens songs are...yes a message, but every song has his heart and soul pouring out. God knows what his IQ is !!!? On Love Music pt2 , he gets every Bond film in to make sense with his lyrics....pure gey
Ren... this is pure insanity. I mean there's no scale to measure your talents. You're a poet. A singer. An actor. A philosopher. My god Ren what a story what a performance! I'm on my knees speechless.
Ren, I'm a Psychiatric nurse who works with seriously mentally ill kids, our music therapist also works with medically ill children. I shared your music with her. She struggles with Lupus. She loved your music, she is going to tell your story and share your music. We both feel your music can help our kids❤There is nobody like you. You are a genius.
If he does and doesn't call it a Rensation, or Renditions, Renegades or other Ren favoring names sake, he would be throwing away some good advertisement of his brand because we all know it would capture the audiences it played to as well as the critics. How could they not give it the acclaim he's deserving to receive on any and all his creations.
Intense, unique, original, remarkable with a deep reality check highlighted to everyone. My only words once I watched every second intensely..........WOW. I'm from Brighton and have seen Ren perform on the streets buskin. You've been around for a good while, you, your music and the meanings in between the lines are incredible and touch home deeply! You are most definitely going to take not only the UK but the world by storm, It's happening now. Big fan, much respect and keep up the incredible work!
WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. right when you think every single piece of his genius has been highlighted .. he comes with yet another masterpiece. Every single detail- the music, poetry, the tone, and the emotions that pour out of it all is so fucking beautiful and heavy and real! He allows you to see it all ..his storytelling is never flat or one sided. We get to be the audience without trying ❤ Goddamn..mad respect and appreciation to you @RenMakesMusic and Sam ..
Every song, every lyric i hear from Ren brings raw emotion. I lost my nephew, my child 2 years ago on Saturday, to drugs, but i found Ren. He makes me feel again. What an incredible human he is. Love you Ren, please keep making me feel human again.
No one compares to you Ren. I'm 64 and so proud that I got to find you and hear your words of wisdom through your music. You are 1 in a millon a star shining so bright that others can not ignore your messages of hope. Mankind, i too have multiple illnesses with 68 allergies to medicines, foods and the environment. You make me feel like I fit in where others don't understand how hard it is to live in a body that you have no control over. Thank you Ren for being you and staying true to yourself we all adore you. You are a star 🌟
yeah, I seriously need agree with this... the words this young man has in everything he says is unreal.. I hope those that need realize what is been said here see all this.. anyone else see Cillian Murphy here??
The beauty of this type of artistry is the suspense tied in with emotion of the story teller. Every time I listen to Ren's work it blows me away. Keep doing what you do!
KUDOS to Ren and Sam. You guys basically condensed a 2 hour biopic into a 10 minute music video. Just wanted to take a moment to apreciate the artistic feat apart from the message. Videos like this are why I love RUclips so much as a viewer.
@@tropport exactly. I meant to say that this story might as well be a full 2 hour biopic and would have had me glued to my seat. Condensing that down into a 10 minute video the way they did here? It is just a mindblowing artistic feat on its own. And I propose that this is only possible independently on youtube. I can't imagine any major label greenlighting this.
The cinematography, choreography, art & production value is off the charts. The entire team has shot light years beyond what you've done heretofore. I can see many awards and accolades in thy immediate future.
Hardest, sure, but fakest line of them all! REAL TRUTH will actually set you free from the lies, what Ren's doing here is misinterpreting and misunderstanding what real truth is. TRUTH, CONSCIOUSNESS and LOVE are not merely WEAK THINGS!!!
I really love the way Ren straight up tells you the message. It’s upfront and he quite literally tells you that “this is not entertainment.”, but instead it’s a message which feels as though it’s being told directly to you. You can really see how the passion flowing from every frames of the video and every second of the song. Ren, you inspire me and hopefully have inspired a whole generation. Please keep up the good work.
Totally agree my friend 👌 I was also mesmerised when he honestly said "This is not entertainment" . He's delivering a message to the world not only through powerful lyrics but also a convincing performance, which is frankly quite rare to find among artists nowadays .
I am a 72 year old man, once America and now Canadian. I have been following you for going on 6 years, as best I could before your new success has made it a lot easier. LOL You may or may not realize it but many songs and efforts from my youth are reflected in your music. We fought the good fight back then, also. And, at one point in time we thought we were winning, but it was an illusion. It is sad than many of those songs and feeling are just as true today as back then. Very sad. Your music transcends those songs and are put in a way that trike people in new ways. The war was not won. I'm not even sure how many battles we may or may not have won, but we tried and now, I am tired. I do the best I can to help and fight still and your music and words stir me on like I haven't felt in years. Thank you. Thank you very much. Fight on Ren. Fight hard and never give up. Thank you for the inspiration and the renewed vigor. You are doing good work both artistically and for society. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. .... PS, am waiting for my cd to ship and anxiously waiting to put it in my car so I can listen to you on the road also. Thank you gain.
It is honestly insane and so impressive to see you go between all these different genres in just one song. You are a modern-day Shakespearean poet and I am here for it.
This song is something else, but also the way Ren ties things together is subtle and amazing. “Rain, rain, rain / A storm it comes our way” At the end, he’s out drenched in the rain. “And those who rise through distorted lies.” We learn the story of Jimmy and his climb to power. And finally, what hits it home for me, “Poison in the veins” Later in life, Jimmy turns to drugs and alcohol, which linger in the bloodstream. This is a work of lyrical/compositional art.
As a professor of psychology and a practitioner in the field, the treasure hunt, the days preceding it, the video message at the end, I would love to have a 2 semester course just breaking this down. Thank you Ren for such a valuable experience and for truly holding a mirror up to my face. Cheers
This is quite seriously one of the greatest things I’ve ever heard. The way you write this song forces listeners to hear the lyrics and what story is being told. It’s a complete departure from the previous songs. The other two were comparatively upbeat, but this one is just a swarm of emotion that won’t stop coming. Massive, MASSIVE round of applause to you. Have fun making history dude
Speechless 🤯 First of all, Sam has outdone himself. That opening shot was spectacular and the whole video, pure artistry. Second of all, Ren's performance had me on the edge of my seat. Such a dark and interesting concept brought to wonderful fruition in true art 👏👏
I don't usually comment on videos, but without a doubt this has to be an exception. This is an absolute fucking masterpiece mate. Hopefully with more people like you we can change this twisted, messed up world and be free from the greed and lies that society has seemed to come to worship. All I can say really is thank you for creating this song, and helping to spread your message. Thank you!
I’m an old man who’s dealt with my mental health for most of my life. Being diagnosed with schizophrenia not long ago I relate to Ren. Real or not I feel he has a great grasp of the struggles I deal with everyday. Whatever your story Ren, keep making music, to me at least, it makes a difference and I feel. Thank you.
Absolute masterpiece. From every word to every shot scene in one take. The movements of people to the rain dropping to the actual story telling bringing it to life. Thank you Ren, Sam and team for the most influential art I’ve ever seen. Last two hours have blown my mind.
This is no song, this is theatre, a MUSICAL, a tragedy! Beautiful! It says so much - this is a story about parent child relationship, a story about human nature, about our values and our system. We hear you Ren! Thank you for sending the message to the world!
Jaw dropped in absolute awe and is staying there. The wordplay, the story, the rhymes. I have this man down as the most incredible talent in the industry right now.....up there with all time. Insane talent Ren.
Can we all just call a spade a spade here? Ren makes better theatrical releases in both plot, writing, a musical scores than Hollywood has in decades! Dude, keep doing what you're doing. In 100 years, people will be talking about Ren as much as we talk about Sinatra in 2024. Keep up the MARVELOUS work!!!!
Fun fact: 'calling a spade a spade' from its original Greek would be translated more accurately as 'calling a [female urinal] a [female urinal]'; calling something what it is, no matter how obscene.
I’m so lucky to have got to watch Ren rise in popularity. I’ve followed ren for about 2 years, WHAT a TALENTED and such a nice dude.Big up Ren keep doing what you’re doing love it🙏
Is… is this all one take?? As someone who has done a LOT of film I’m obsessed with this. Ik you can fake that now but this REALLY looks like all one take. Ren is legit a genius and the set director ain’t bad either. Just plain wow.
This dude is something else all together. Its not the kind if music you put on your Spotify playlists. Its an experience, rhat you havevto see and hear, but especially feel. Not all his songs are like that and some are on my playlist. But with this one, you need to see the video too. Masterpiece and he keeps surprising me. Not just the fact that he sings, raps, write his own music,he also plays guitar and piano,it seems. Thanks Sinead O'Connor, if it wasn't for her tweet, I woildnt even know who Ren was and through him another favorite of mine; Chinchilla. King & queen of England, when it comes to these 2 artists!!❤💟💝💟❤
@@stonefaction- I discovered Ren a month before Sinead’s death, and found her Ren tweet a few days after she passed. I’ve bought all her albums since 1991, and it’s great to see artists promoting each other. 🥰
This music video is beyond impressive! This is the pinnacle of one-take cinematography. And Ren you and your team pulled this off absoloutely beautifully. Maddest of respect.
With all due respect to Samuel, Ren, and the rest of the crew for this, I think I have to still give Russian Ark credit for the pinnacle of one-take cinematography. This is damn good, though!
I absolutely love Ren's use of pauses are. Examples are the pause before the last line here, the breath taken as he stands and steadies himself before walking through Violet's Tale and the momentary pause of thought in Chalk Outlines before the line "I hope I'm someone else in the morning ".
Mindblowing stuff from start to finish. Have never seen something so well executed on RUclips before. The whole premiere experience was out of this world. Even the countdown unbelievably well thought through. Congrats all
I've never bothered to watch a music video, but this was something else.... this is nothing short of art, pure expression in a cleverly devised manner.... Just, phenomenal.
I am 63. I was pissed drunk in my little bedsit on my own when I came across this. By the time it finished I was cold sober with a renewed direction! Thank you for sharing your talent young fellah!
@@S1lentLunarThis is actually a message to @MrRupit123 We are all shown what we need to see when we need to see it. We all have our own sack of rocks to carry. If you gained something from this video, I am grateful; I did as well. Please ignore those who will make "smart" comments about things which they do not understand. Ren has much insight and true understanding about things which he, in a perfect world, should not. I appreciate his work and appreciate even more the lessons his work teaches us out here in RUclips land. Anything you gain from anything in this world is a gift. Use it to grow yourself and those around you. Do not use this beauty to cause pain to another, much like @Skeliton21 tried to do.
I have never been moved by someone's lyrics/life/music/ideology as much as I have from the money game series. I feel it. I live it. I want out. I want what life can be - not what it is. Not the systems that govern us created by those who it favoured. We're all humans and we should start acting like it. This life isn't a game, it's a gift
Words cannot express how exceptional this is. I’m simply in awe of the talent that is on display. Never in a million years did I think I could uncover something so meaningful, poignant and visually captivating. You my friend, will make every inch of humankind stand up and listen. This is a gift that only few possess.
What do you even call this?? “Song” doesn’t exactly do it justice, right? Performance art? Poetry in motion? A freaking master class on creativity in storytelling? I’m completely blown away right now…well freaking done Ren! Congrats! Can’t wait for the album drop tomorrow! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I really want to say thank you and give a huge shout out to having real instruments in your music. So much music these days are 100% digital, but having musicians playing on real instruments has a much greater impact on how the music is felt (at least for me). As a cellist, i just want to say thank you for helping keep music alive.
@@TheManFromNantucketso true! Hi Ren is easily my favorite song from Ren. After hearing this one, this is now my second favorite, although it’s hard when he has so many great songs.
Ren is the artist the world desperately needs to hear right now. I just hope, with every fibre of my being, that our future adults take his powerful words & performances to heart and begin the journey towards positive change for the future of all hitchhikers on this random rock hurtling through infinite space. (This old hippy is glad to see the hippy spirit still alive and kicking.) ❤
As a person who is about to become a future adult, I really enjoy Ren and I believe we do are changing for the better. There are some bad apples of course (and maybe ive been too enclosed into very safe spaces, who knows) but there might be a chance. What I really worry about though, is that, as time goes on, we could become as heartless and as greedy as a lot of people. Heck, it has been happening to me, where ive been doing bad actions and that I k n o w its hurting others, yet I turn a blind eye and make excuses for myself. I'm scared that as time goes on, we will become more self-centered. I'm afraid that I will become (or maybe I am already) short-sighted, and that I will hurt more people than I already have Do you have any advice on how I should navigate life to lessen the bad consequences? Like, what are some "guidelines" or "maps" to follow?
It all clicks in the end. Bro, you're a bloody genius. I know comments are tough ground, but I can't say enough how important your work is. Music for me is in a "post Ren" world. So many tunes and artists I thought were brilliant until I heard what brilliant actually is. Total respect. I 100% wish you the best in everything.
@@arg1 The last click he got was from the gun duh. IN the end it doesn't matter. Chasing statistics and stats, It all plays into his songs. But I see now that's not what you meant.
Wait until you hear Paul Westerberg. A man that fought the record industry to no avail and shot a music video, playing a spinning vinyl of one of The Replacements hits for the entire duration of the song. He was against the commercialization of music to the detriment of his own career. Here's a track off one of his solo albums that I personally think is brilliant. ruclips.net/video/1_zLzsmh3ng/видео.htmlsi=pdHc83PdY_klJVRp
After I first heard this I didn’t think I'd listen to it again because I found Jimmy’s entire story so horrific. However several of my favourite vocal teachers/opera singers reacted to the video and I became enthralled with all the details of the production of the video and the music. I now have all the Money Games in order on a couple of favourite playlists. I even have Su!cide on a playlist and hear it regularly, after choking crying for 20 minutes after I first saw/heard it.
This is a true artist. He's not just musically talented but also visually expressive to the point you feel apart of the story. Most artists can't draw people in like Ren can. He's truly one of a kind ❤
I preordered the album, first physical album I've bought in years. Aside from 1-2 songs he hasn't released as singles, this album is a passionate and personal art piece, and I'm more than happy to support the greatest independent artist alive. Cheers Ren on this accomplishment, I can't wait to see the heights your talent and dedication will take you!
Preordered some deluxe album to my country. Honestly dont even care if it will be ever delivered :) I dont even have a device to play it properly (maybe ps5, but thats highly impractical) I just want digital copy and support Ren.
I love the cuts and the silence, the moments of reflection you left allow the emotion of the piece to sink in, the sound production on the props is perfect, the music ended and I'm writing this in quiet but I still feel it. Well done all around.
A line from the Twenty One Pilots, song Car Radio, where one of the lines says, "Sometimes Quiet is Violent". Is where my thoughts went with you mentioning the silent rests Ren so perfectly places in his creations, which can have a listener sitting up on the edge of their seat waiting for the other shoe to drop, building so much tension and anticipation it has the listeners brain violently trying to think about what comes next, while also trying to process what the previous lines were telling - teaching the listener, depending on the track we are hearing for a first time, leaving us sitting in that violent silence, where we don't make a sound even though our thoughts are screaming wow! This is incredible, etc. our minds silently racing, drivingvus crazy wondering how all that creativity could come from the mind of one Sick Boi.
As a survivor of ptsd your music just means so much . Amazingly talented doesn't seem to do you enough justice . I have never connected to music like this before.
Wow, I just found this after finding clips in shorts and reels. I teach English in an American University in China. I do a poetry class and I am going to show my students this as an example of what poetry is. They have been deadened to poetry by being force fed the Chinese classical poets (Su Shi, Li Bai, et al) all through High School, I want to reawaken their love of poetry and this will be at the top of the class to highlight how powerful modern poetry can be. Also brilliant storytelling. (If anyone has a link to this with embedded subs please point me at it)
Chills. Hi Ren was probably the most impactful piece of art i've found in the last few years because it hit me personally as I've been struggling with a number of diseases, surgeries and health issues for the past 3 years. But this and the whole money game series are just so breath taking in both the quality and the message. Keep singing the songs that matter and know that to me and my life you have made a difference even if only a small one. We have so much potential if we could just stop wasting it.
I can 100% agree with this. My normal musical interest is not like this. But, the poetic humanities(??) It's so beautiful and DEEP. Deep, that's the word... deep... I've always been a "poet" or whatever. This hit home with it. It makes you think, and with feeling. That's a poet to and to.
Your gift is beautiful. And honest. And REAL. I have MAD respect for you, to have the courage to speak up for those who aren't able. Never stop doing what your doing. You are the light in the darkness, and I feel so blessed to have literally stumbled upon your amazing works of art.
Ren never ceases to amaze me with his brilliant song writing, absolute chills when he calls to stop the music. Thank you for everything you do Ren. You inspire me on a daily basis. Keep up the good fight. -Ryan
Love the support Ren gets from other creatures and fans alike. Amazing artists make us all better humans. Thank you to Ren and the others helping him give us art.
@TommyRiffmaster I see your point. I do believe that growth can acure for an individual who has no previous experience on a subject or perspective and actively expands their mind to becoming a more enriched human. Art is one of those conduits.
Such incredible talent, and amazing work. Flawless story telling. Ren’s really made a name from himself, and to think i found him busking on the streets of brighton with The Big Push. And then went to see their last concert as a band. This man has helped so many people through so many different things. His mums a bright star too, met her on the train on the way back home that night. Such a beautiful family. Much love Ren. I hope you see this.
@@four2i I’ve seen some coverage of that concert, it looked amazing! Although there was a fan in the crowd yelling “ren!” Like every 10 seconds, she was very persistent lmao
Just fucking brilliant. From the music. The lyrics. The videography, etc. There’s a reason you’re number 1 in the UK. You’re number 1 in our eyes in the US as well. Sure hope the numbers will show it soon. Much love, sir.
I'm 50 years old, for the past x months I've cried tears and tears listening to your stories through unprecedented performances... what you, Ren, and your team are doing to me is somehow resetting myself, therapy (if I can say so) on a daily basis. Without going on too long, I can say that you make me better, more sensitive, more humble in front of all that and those who make up my life. Deep bow and respect to Ren and your loved ones who supported you and continue to do so...

Those who control the present, control the past. Those who control the past, control the future. Applies very well to the current state of news media outlets. -jorjor wel 1949
Similar to the way the opening verse and the verse where it speaks about Jimmy's first words and walking...The entire money game trilogy comes full circle in this song. "Rain, rain, rain, rain...A storm it comes our way. And those who rise through distorted lies, poison in their veins," The chorus from the original Money Game 1 and 2...It comes full circle with the ending of the story where Jimmy comes in soaking wet from being in the rain. And he has his finger on the trigger of a money game, but this time, the gun is aimed at himself, not at the others that he wanted to profit off. Money does not equal happiness. You can only find that from within yourself through love, patience, and respect for yourself and others. I think it's pretty clear that this is the message here. Chasing wealth and fame over everything and everyone will not only NOT bring you joy, it will destroy you. It will eat you from the inside out. Like mold growing on the surface of a petri dish, people chasing wealth will consume, consume, consume, but eventually they will die with a broken heart and a rotten soul. Ren...you are an inspiration and an incredibly talented, intelligent and gifted artist. Keep killing it!
And holy crap! A heart emoji from Ren himself! I am honored haha! Truly I do feel very excited that you had the chance to read and react to my comment Ren! I have massive respect for you. For your art, your commitment to your fans, and your continuous outpouring of positivity even in the face of negativity and outright adversity (whether physically or socially). Your King Dotta Diss changed the formula of diss songs where you had fun but uplifted a fellow independent artist. Game changer. Just as many of your songs are game changers, this trilogy certainly included. Much love Ren! Stay strong and stay positive!
I also have to ask on the off chance that you see this Ren. Was this a one take? I feel like maybe there was a cut in between where you sat down in the wheelchair and where the string quartet show up. Everything else feels uncut. Those one take vids are nuts! Love the dedication of you and your crew!

Every video! As well as every single song. They make you think, they're also unbelievably relatable to everyone in one way or another! They are stories told in amazing music form.
For real!
Genuine Facts - his stuff is SO important - needs to spread as far and wide as is possible!
57 and I get it 🎬🎟️
wait really amazing my friend im a young 47 and i find REN amazing, fist bump
I thought at 47 I was too old to become "a fan" of any new artist.
My favourite music is 60s/70s rock. Before my time but I felt that musicians expressed themselves more freely then.
I never thought that I'd find an artist that would impress me as much as Pink Floyd.
Thanks to the Internet, artists now have a platform to produce what they want and boy has that produced one of the most unique and gifted talents ever to grace the industry.
Ren has suffered to get to where he is now and although a curse for him, for the rest of us it is a gift.

As always here are the lyrics for anyone who wants them!
Let me tell you a story about a boy named Jimmy
1 years old and his first words were "Mine, mine, Gimmie!"
2 years old he was walking, 3 years old walking quickly
4 years old he was running round the pavements of the city
5 years old and his daddy told him "listen here son,
You Gota learn to be a man a man he works for what he wants"
6 years old and he’s reading, writing top of the bunch
And when he’s 7 his progression made him student number 1
8 years old and he’s praised for unusual grades
9 his parents pay for private school to nurture the flame
10 11 12 13 he ascends and ascends
His daddy tells him "son, money is the means to all ends"
14 solving complex mathematic equations
15 I.Q one hundred and fifty still elevating
16 he develops complex software code
That detects weaknesses in cyber security protocols
17 and he sells vision keeping a share not yet an adult but he's practically a millionaire,
18 and his daddy tells him "now your a man
This world don't give a damn about you so take all that you can"
19 he turns a profit stocks and shares invest in product 20 double down deposits
21 his income rockets 22 he learns that truth is just an obstacle to wealth
If you manipulate the data then a lie will sell itself
23 a life of luxury crystal and cocaine,
24 he made the Forbes list they're applauding his name
25 and his daddy tells him "listen here son
While ur sitting in your Palace, that don't mean that you won"
26 a business shift he switches business to arms
27 dealing nuclear and shells in Iran
28 inside the sennet money bought him a seat
29 a role of council in the president sweet
Now he’s 30 and his daddy says "you're loosing the race
You're just a servant to the king not even in second place "
31 A big manoeuvre for his daddy’s approval
Moving imports over borders from the exports out of Cuba.
32 moving grams growing kilos to tonnes (Put down champagne glass
33 filling warehouses with powder and guns
34 Turf war with nobody to stop it
Blind eye from the Po-Po inside of his pocket
35 - and he gets a call, "I’m sorry son
But its your father, had a heart attack I’m sorry he’s gone"
36 - getting pissed and abusing his product
37 - eyes glazed, disposition demonic
38 - with a prostitute a moment of passion
Heating up a silver spoon and then chasing the dragon
39 - Getting reckless and hungry for power
Daddy’s words still driving him to kill and devour
Makes a move against the cartel but the strategies flawed. ( CARTEL RUNN PAST SHOT/ SMOKE GRENADE? SMOKE MACHINE?)
They retaliate and leave him in a hospital ward
A bullet buried in the vertebra and one in the leg
The doctor sighs and says I don’t think you’ll be walking again
Let me tell you a story about a boy named jimmy
He was 40 and he cursed the words mine mine gimme
41 he wasn’t walking 42, not walking quickly
43 never running round the pavement of his city
44 inside his palace with a mountain of gold
But the riches turn to rubble when perspective evolves
Weighing heavy on his conscience is the value of gold
A Lamborghini for a life, trading money for souls
But jimmy followed the code inside the land of the free
Put your hand inside the cookie jar take more than you need
And his is example is exaggerated versions of me
- [ ] And its a version of him and its a version of she
And its a version you there’s no escaping the blame
The way we live is parasitic fuck the money and fame
Cut the music
This ain’t entertainment, this is real life
The way we live is lunacy, community it declines
Hyperpolerised - always fighting then we divide
Truth is less important than the money that we designed?
Moneys an invention, politics from our invention
They all come from peoples ideas
did I mention
Borders our invention
Law and order fuel the tension
that leads to people killing each other? My solution
Everything is subject to change
We can builds Utopias if individuals are taught to use there’s brains
But if we teach kids in school to always be sheep
And put ourselves before the heard if there’s more money for me
Then there’s no future I see, where the humans survive
Were parasites in side a petridish
With cannibal minds
Mould grows upon a surface it consumes till it dies
And our fate could be the same, so here’s a story for the wise
45 jimmy comes home out of the rain
Soaking wet upon a wheel chair, drinking again
Everything he wants he has fortune and fame
He’s a fortunate fool with an unfortunate fate
With a 45 calibre aimed at his brain
45 a fitting number cause his age is same
Hears the words of his father; ‘such a damn shame’
Then he presses on the trigger of a money game
Thank you for the lyrics!
Done. This was great. You did your usual brilliance. But Sam. Sam did another amazing job and wanted to shout out to him some more.

Maybe the fight between good and evil is never won or lost but is a constant battle/balance?
It is honestly insane and so impressive to see you go between all these different genres in just one song. You are a modern-day Shakespearean poet and I am here for it.
"Hørt! Hørt!" cried the Dane.
Hört! Hört! Cried the German. 😂
Also. Once he's an adult every 5 years he mentions his father. Dudes a poetic and wizard. No musician weaves a story like he does.

I left a comment elsewhere (on X) saying that increasingly it appears that Sinead O'Connor's reactions to Ren (& Hi Ren) is an understatement.
@@stonefaction- I discovered Ren a month before Sinead’s death, and found her Ren tweet a few days after she passed.
I’ve bought all her albums since 1991, and it’s great to see artists promoting each other. 🥰
Sinead understood the world well too.😢
This music video is beyond impressive! This is the pinnacle of one-take cinematography. And Ren you and your team pulled this off absoloutely beautifully. Maddest of respect.
appreciate that!!!!❤️
With all due respect to Samuel, Ren, and the rest of the crew for this, I think I have to still give Russian Ark credit for the pinnacle of one-take cinematography. This is damn good, though!
The cinematography is amazing! 2 cuts for over 9 minutes is insane!
Imagine what would be created if Ren was gifted a full orchestra and unlimited freedom to create a musical. IT NEEDS TO HAPPEN.
Yep, this is in the works, I hope... :-)
Ren-Manuel MiRenda
Yes
Absolutely it would be Epic
I'd pay to.go watch that ❤
I absolutely love Ren's use of pauses are. Examples are the pause before the last line here, the breath taken as he stands and steadies himself before walking through Violet's Tale and the momentary pause of thought in Chalk Outlines before the line "I hope I'm someone else in the morning ".
your comment souds like lyrics to a song. I cought my self singing them in imy head for some reason.
The song is amazing but can we all just appreciate that Ren and that suit work together waaaaay too well
Giving off that Cillian Murphy vibe.
Next spiderman?
Yep. He looks hot.
Youll be surprised how good *anyone* looks in a well-tailored suit
Dude, I couldn't put my finger on it but you're spot on

I appreciate his work and appreciate even more the lessons his work teaches us out here in RUclips land. Anything you gain from anything in this world is a gift. Congratulations Ren, Sam and team Money Game 3 won the European music video award at ECU film festival
🥳🥳🥳💐💐💐🔥🔥🔥❤❤❤
Absolutely deserved. Yay!
Hell yes, big congratulations! So well deserved! :):)
Beautiful
I have never been moved by someone's lyrics/life/music/ideology as much as I have from the money game series. I feel it. I live it. I want out. I want what life can be - not what it is. Not the systems that govern us created by those who it favoured. We're all humans and we should start acting like it. This life isn't a game, it's a gift
Words cannot express how exceptional this is. I’m simply in awe of the talent that is on display. Never in a million years did I think I could uncover something so meaningful, poignant and visually captivating. You my friend, will make every inch of humankind stand up and listen. This is a gift that only few possess.
It should be the case , ignorance isnt always a choice but part of the programming .
What do you even call this?? “Song” doesn’t exactly do it justice, right? Performance art? Poetry in motion? A freaking master class on creativity in storytelling? I’m completely blown away right now…well freaking done Ren! Congrats! Can’t wait for the album drop tomorrow! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thought the same, but that doesn't lessen it's impact, sometimes it doesn't need a catchy refrain, right?
all of the above plus the truth !
Yeah sounds more like a musical
I see it as a call to change society before it's too late. Bravo Ren.
I really want to say thank you and give a huge shout out to having real instruments in your music. So much music these days are 100% digital, but having musicians playing on real instruments has a much greater impact on how the music is felt (at least for me). As a cellist, i just want to say thank you for helping keep music alive.
Agreed, and thank YOU for being a cellist. We need real instruments, and the deep technical and emotional depth needed to play them well.
Its incredible how one artist, a few of his songs can turn despair into connection.
the art in this song is insane bro, the camera movements, the acting and just the over all song is chilling. this is the best song i ever heard
Untill you hear hi Ren. This man is revolutionizing what music can be!
Ren brings the truth ✌& 🧡
As a person who is about to become a future adult, I really enjoy Ren and I believe we do are changing for the better. There are some bad apples of course (and maybe ive been too enclosed into very safe spaces, who knows) but there might be a chance.
What I really worry about though, is that, as time goes on, we could become as heartless and as greedy as a lot of people. Heck, it has been happening to me, where ive been doing bad actions and that I k n o w its hurting others, yet I turn a blind eye and make excuses for myself.
I'm scared that as time goes on, we will become more self-centered. I'm afraid that I will become (or maybe I am already) short-sighted, and that I will hurt more people than I already have
Do you have any advice on how I should navigate life to lessen the bad consequences? Like, what are some "guidelines" or "maps" to follow?
@@resuperoLook into stoicism and minimalism. ❤
If CLICKS is the goal and to be famous ...So the CLICK ok the gun killing him will make him famous?
@@AdventuresOfDetroit "it all clicks in the end" means it all makes sense, I don't know where you got clicking the gun from fam
Holy shit. This made me cry.
I just. Thank you.
Artists are heroes
Yes 🙌 I noticed that too. That’s why well made/ directed videos hit better. Visual representations are quite a site to witness.
✌& ❤
I preordered the album, first physical album I've bought in years. Aside from 1-2 songs he hasn't released as singles, this album is a passionate and personal art piece, and I'm more than happy to support the greatest independent artist alive. Cheers Ren on this accomplishment, I can't wait to see the heights your talent and dedication will take you!
Preordered some deluxe album to my country. Honestly dont even care if it will be ever delivered :) I dont even have a device to play it properly (maybe ps5, but thats highly impractical) I just want digital copy and support Ren.
My name is Jimi and i fight with Lyme just like you. It has taken 7 years out of my life. Your music is so powerful and gives so much. Thanks Ren!
Keep fighting Jimi, you found the Wim Hof Method yet? It's almost as powerful as the mind of Ren 🔥
All the best, friend
I have Meneirs disease so I understand completely. Stay close to the Lord my friend 🙏
Epic and disturbing! ❤ Ren you are the 1st Artist for decades that resonates

This isn’t only a song..this is art and the storytelling just..masterpiece
❤
beautifully said fellow hooman, and i hope you do better :)
Could it be real? Could it be Ren? Could it be hyped again and again. Something to steal? Something to lend? Oh, I'm so psyched I can not pretend.
Brilliant comment. I even read it with his cadence 🤣
Me too
A like for the cleverness!
I sang it as well
That’s insane - as others have commented - that is so Ren - as I read it in my head i am hearing REN’s voice. Crazy
This man’s music is modern Shakespeare
I was showing Hi Ren to some of my students today, this was one of the comments made!
My exact thought!! It is pure art, on so many forms, he feeds my soul!!
I love this comparison. Here's to hoping kids hundreds of years from now will be reading Ren in school.
Through and through** ugh

Bro, just discovered you and as a fellow English political critic and mental health sufferer, you are a genius
You know it man literally kills how uk and life is like this
Similar to the way the opening verse and the verse where it speaks about Jimmy's first words and walking...The entire money game trilogy comes full circle in this song.
That's a great way to put it, Jason. It reminds me of Iter Impius by Pain of Salvation, one of my favorite songs ever.
@@mindfucksyouall Thank you so much sir. And I will go check out that song right now. Thank you for the suggestion! :)

Love the dedication of you and your crew!
