Are certifications vital to Digital/Cyber Foreniscs?

Thanks for tuning in, since Digital/Cyber Forensics is a technical field (with some legal processes and implications) companies often look for a combination of certifications and experience to help validate that candidates have the skills they need.

@@fabbeyonddadancer Infosec has a course called "Computer Forensics" that include 3 modules (Computer Forensics Concepts, Windows Forensics and Registry Forensics) on coursera. There is also another course by EC-Council called "Digital Forensics Essentials". After these Courses you could do more hands-on practices on HackTheBox or TryHackMe. Afterwards do the Practical Windows Forensics Course by TCM Security.
And to finish this journey you could do the eCDFP (certified digital forensics professional) by INE. This is a really good in-depth course where you analyse files with HeX Editors, magic numbers and recover broken disk images.
After all these courses you should have a good foundation to get your foot into this field.
