+philzambo Bernie sings the song 'Outlaw' while in Whitesnake, which is on side 2 of the 'Lovehunter' lp. All in all a very good record indeed, Bernies take at lead vocals is actually one of the highlights, for me, of not only that album but the entire Marsden/Moody era of Whitesnake.
could never end up thanking him for my love to the hammond leslie marshall sound. He just brought to me one of the beautiness in the world along with harmony and sensitivity, great to remember him, anytime, rip forever.
The intro on the keyboard by Jon is just unreal, absolutely love it. Keep replaying just to hear it. Lucky to have Bernie when I was a kid and he gave me one of his plectrums that I’ll keep forever.
Man ? I had no idea that Bernie Marsden had such a good voice. And I have owned practically all of the early Whitesnake Albums. And have liked his backround vocals. And I have heard John Sykes sing his version of this song. And of course I have David Coverdales various versions on tape and video. But I honestly think that I like this version here the best of all of them.
I'm going to be the first one to say that I had put this version of Whitesnake down I heard of songs like slide it in and and love Ain't No Stranger now and I hear songs like this version and crying the rain from The Originals I can understand why because that was the original stamp of Whitesnake not the current one today but I'm going to say I'm a proud of this version of Whitesnake as much as I'm proud of the hair metal band of Whitesnake but let me say this I love them both but this version is even sweeter rest in peace to both of them and may they rest in paradise😊❤❤❤❤
RIP Bernie - sadly missed and Mr Lord of course - was lucky enough to have ssen them both live a few times back in the day - great performers both of them. Whitesnake.Deep Purple and Bernie Marsden's Alaska. Thanks for the wonderfull memories.
It’s a shame I didn’t know Bernie Marsden in White Snake. I learned of White Snake when John Sykes was the guitarist at the time. When I heard of Bernie’s passing and the mention of White Snake, I looked him up and Wow. What a guy. Such great talent, as a guitarist and vocalist. I have a new favorite guitarist/singer on my list. I wish I had known of him years back. R.I.P. Bernie. I will certainly be listening to as much of your performances I can find. 🙏
Bernie! You are a great musician and you look and act like a very nice chap. Thank you for sharing your gift with us for so many years. Nice to see you and Jon together again:-)
omg this has to be my favorite version of this song... his vocal choices and jon lord's softer touch on keys... it really highlights the melody that made this song so great... david does a great job with this song and his power made it the hit that it was but this man wow brilliant...
Bernie is an amazing artist and underrated performer. Awesome performance with the master of the keyboard; RIP Jon Lord, your music will live on forever.
Deep Purple with Jon had so many big ones in the 70s. Which one was a hit except Smoke (Biggest one), Black Night, Child in Time? It depends on how well it was selling.
R.I.P. Jon Lord and now Bernie Marsden, two legends 🙏❤️
🤯 Didn’t know about Jon! Jon, Bernie, and Jeff Beck; making music on the streets of gold!
Now both are gone. Two very special people. RIP Jon & Bernie.
Bernie & Jon are now playing together in the heaven. Love them both for ever.
This is Bernie’s song always has been, Love you Bernie! RIP bro !!
Who are the lunatics that give this a thumbs down??? Absolutely brilliant rendition!
🤗 Great stuff! RIP Bernie and John. Special musos for sure.
Can't believe I'll never hear Bernie sing or play live again - made me cry.....
This is why the old Whitesnake was the best. Frizzy hair metal lineup, eat your hearts out. This is GORGEOUS.
I like the Marsden-Moody era, the „80s big hair era“, and the latest era of Whitesnake. Because they all sound good
Beautiful,R.I.P Bernie & Jon.❤
RIP Bernie and Jon. This is so beautiful.
I didn't realise Bernie had such a soulful voice, amazing stuff
Check out the Paice Ashton Lord - Malice in Wonderland Live 1977 FULL CONCERT video at the 33 minute mark to see Bernie slay Steamroller Blues!

Incredible version of the song that brings a wee tear to my eye every time, especially since both legends have passed on.
Not only is Bernie one of the greatest guitarists but he can sing as well :-) And Jon Lord must be one of the best keyboard players ever - RIP.
Jon was one of the real Gods of Rock, sadly missed RIP, I was lucky to see him play live many times from the late 70's onwards.
Jon was not a keyboard player. Always considered himself an organist.
RIP Bernie!

He's the lead singer on "Outlaw" from the Lovehunter album. Incredible song.
This is one of the finest musical moments I've seen in a very long time, thank you for sharing!
Bernie is so underrated, as his 2 excellent solo albums ("And about time too" and "Look at me now")
WOW, there's a lot more than 2 solo albums,
R.I.P. Bernie.x
