- HAPPY NEW YEAR Everyone! 2021 was a great year for me living and traveling full time in my 20+ year old truck camper. There were so many "firsts"! In this video I share some thoughts on 2021 and the New Year 2022. This is followed by an absolutely beautiful video retrospective from some of my adventures in 2021. My wife and I have been so inspired by your videos that we bought a Sprinter van last summer and remodeled it into a camper. Took it on a shake down cruise to Western Montana in October to visit her family and had a ball.
Retired now we can travel freely. Planning more trips west this summer. Maybe see you on the road. Keep making videos. They give us old folks hope for adventures of our own. 😎🇺🇸

When you're free to do what you want and not tied down to the Hamster wheel you see and feel things in a different way. You'll live a lot longer too.
Okay Catherine (Cat) Your history as in photography has transcended into video perfectly. You get that motion picture camera is not a camera in motion all the time. Letting the scene play out with a still camera works with the emotion of the shot. I am old school . . . You get it! Okay, then there is your editing. Music is everything, just sprinkle the shot you captured with the music! You get it again . . . this recap has so many moments with your music and emotional connection to your experiences at these special places. It brings me to tears. Thank you Catherine for sharing your adventures as it brings so many memories of my travels.

I have also found the same about not making concrete plans. It is so much easier and less stressful when you just go with the flow and allow the weather to steer your course. I have friends that always want to make such a structured vacation and then are disappointed when not all goes as planned. Enjoy your travels!

One can spend a year in every State and not see it all.
One suggestion is to cover some events. People like hiking, camping and cooking, but a visit to a regional event might be nice. Potato festival, whatever. Lol Maybe not the whole video, but just to highlight some events that people can go to.

@@CatherineGregoryAdventures I was worried you were somewhere in the Sierras . I have not left since Xmas Eve when snow fell over 2 days for 8 inches and the temp fell below freezing for a week. I tried today and made it 30 feet up the driveway. Lucky I don't need anything .

Your channel is not as big as others because most people do not produce videos. Hence, they do not recognize the immense artistry in your videos. My wife and I have visited a few places you showed us (e.g. Grandstaff Canyon, Moab, Utah) and we're always extremely thankful you introduced them to us.

Beautifully done. Your music is so beautiful that any stress I may be feeling just melts away; almost brings me to tears. For several months now I have occasionally seen your videos pop up on my RUclips page as being potentially of interest. "She seems interesting. I'll have to check her out sometime". But I'd forget. Finally, your backpacking trip into the John Muir Wilderness came up yesterday and really caught my attention as I did that trip in 1980. Just loved it so watched a few more. Going to watch, as a minimum, all your 2022 & 2021 adventures. So excited as I just finished watching every video done by The Adventures of A&K and wanted a new inspirational channel for planning my next adventures. I'm solo woman traveler and disbursed car camper whose passion is high altitude hiking in the Eastern Sierra so really looking forward to discovering new hikes for 2023. 🥰
