I saw a bandolero race at Bowman Gray Stadium several years ago. When I heard Dave Blaney's son was running I immediately wondered if he'd make it to the Cup Series one day. Glad to see this all come together. Congrats to the 12 team!!
Worked on sprint cars in western Pa. from 1990 to around 2005. Got to watch Ryans' grandpap Lou race a big block modified (the Crash Bros. #10) at Lernerville & Sharon. He was a smooth driver. Pleasure to watch. Raced against his uncle Dale. First saw his dad Dave race the Blaney Lumber #10 at Motordrome 70 Speedway in 1983. All super nice people. Good job Ryan.
Thanks for the reply. I worked on John Stickleys' L7 sprint car. We were trully low buck for sure but we had a lotta fun. Our highlight was probably finishing 9th in Lernerville points in I think 1995. Pretty big deal at that time. The most races we ran in a season was 52. John passed away (it'll be 2 years this February). He was a dear friend and I think we accomplished a lot for a little team. @@Dooguy
Beautiful heartfelt speech. YRB had me crying when he mentioned grandpa Lou. At least Dave got to see his son become a champion. Well done Team Penske, Ryan and the 12 team 🎉on a phenomenal year👏
Love Blaney! What a truly inspirational driver for the sport! I am so happy that him and his father get to share this special moment. Dave must be unbelievably proud. Ryan Blaney is a champion! Now part of the elite club onto finding a pathway and becoming a great veteran of the sport into the HOF.
2:26-2:32 That made me about cry to Ryan. I understand what it's like losing a Grandfather and then achieving something great in life and him not being able to see it.
Was at the Penske Shop in June, and Got myself a Blaney shirt and some other trinkets. I am a fan for sure. So happy to see you win this. Very deserving, and such a great representative of the sport.
Congratulations to Blaney and his team, they earned it. As for the crowd, they look as excited as loyal fans are about NASCAR’s new 7-Year TV deal. NASCAR management just cares about money, not making it easier for all of the fans who follow the races all over the TV dial for 38 weeks a year. TNT is fine, Amazon is not.
Congrats to Ryan. He seems to be a genuinely good guy. This was kind of hard to watch because Ryan is so dull. Like, where is the passion? The emotion, the energy. The guy just won a championship at the highest level in NASCAR. Where is the excitement? This is an example of what I have been worried about for NASCAR in the future. A lot of the newer drivers don't show much of a personality like the older drivers have and did.
LEAVE NASCAR RUclipsRS ALONE!! THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES BRINGING NEW FANS TO THE SPORT THAT THE NASCAR ORGANIZATION RUINED MORE AND MORE SINCE THE END OF THE GEN 4 ERA! It's just despicable that you guys ruin their livelyhood and destroy all the work they do for you! They produce the videos about the important topics, they keep the history alive that you guys don't care for! The current NASCAR managers have absolutely no clue about racing and it shows! Get rid of those people and let people with knowledge run the show and watch your fans double or triple! It is absolutely despicable, you don't produce high quality documentations but want to take away the work of those people who spend many hours a day doing research and creating incredible videos about how great NASCAR once was and could be again. If only the right people would manage it again. People that worked in racing teeams and have experience in stock car racing! Not another rich entitled guy in a suit that never got his hands dirty on an engine! GET IT TOGETHER NASCAR!
Perfect example of a failed points system! Ryan is not a deserving nor true champion! At what point during the season before the final 10 was he contending for the points lead? Martin was leading but William was right behind him & should be the actual champion! This points system IS one of many reasons NASCAR loses fans daily!

Ryan is a unique blend of genuine good guy and bare knuckle fierce competitor.
There isn't one thing I don't like about Ryan. I've liked and rooted for him since he started in the Busch series. GO RYAN!!!!!!!!

A very heartfelt and humble speech. I'm so proud to be your fan. You deserve it all.
Intelligent, heartfelt, & thankful for all those who helped him to become # one.

Definitely feels real now! So proud to call my driver a champion! Already looking forward to 2024!

Dude it’s like 10 bucks a month like once. No big deal
NASCAR helped him by reversing that penalty. Good guy but I question that he truly earned it.
Buen presentador
BLANEY BABY
Man everybody there looks DEAD
Congrats to Ryan, #12 Team & PENSKE. Wondering though…were The Captain & Mrs. Captain angry as neither cracked a smile? Kinda sad. ❤️✝️🇺🇸‼️
First time I seen Ryan I was hooked.
In my minds eye I am watching mark Martin in the bowtie instead of Ryan blaney.
#12 IS MONEY!
Go 12
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
For all of those saying the crowd was boring. It really is people, being human, listening to a heartfelt speech! I think it was fantastic!
Everyone just mad that it wasn’t their team or driver or manufacturer that won the championship
so damn cute
Why is everyone so serious... Can tell how hard everyone has to think about what they say
