I've just found your channel and watched about 20 of your videos so far. You really do a fantastic job with this. It's entertaining and informational. I share your love the the well rounded motorcycle.
When you're looking at the brake at 2:40 and wondering where the ABS ring is, it's probably behind the blue cover between the disc and the fork. There's a wire running to that cover, which looks to be the sensor.
There are tons of fz6r reviews but none as deep as this one. I have owned this bike non-abs version 2013 for a few years and ridden it 25k miles and every bit you say about this bike is true. It is a powerful beast that also serves as my daily ride in the USA. Great work with the review!
I've been riding a CBR 250 for the last 12 months. It's quite adequate for urban riding, but gutless once you're on the highway.. Diversion F looks like the perfect upgrade with its silky 4cyl 600cc engine and a full fairing unlike the MT-07. The MT is the bike with more fun, but I'm 38 with two kids, I need some comfort :p
Love your reviews. They cover everything you realistically need to know about the bike and are fun to watch :D I'm sick of "reviews" where the guy just talks about his bike mods for 15 mins and doesn't say anything useful about the bike..
I loved the growling part LOL. "Fun bike for some commuting" - I agree :) . "Speed, Power! Braaaakes!" - LOL This is my bike and your review reports the same feelings I have for this bike. It's my first bike and I love it. I don't see myself riding riding another one. The gearbox is a little clunky but I can live with that. Now... off to see part two :) ...
Hey, around 5:35 mins you mention you can actually remove a part of the license tail to make a tail tidy without having to buy on, has anyone actually done this?
Hey man, great review. Last year I chose the cb600f -12 but man was it hard to pick the right bike. It was between Hornet, xj6, er6, z750, gsf650, fz6 and street triple (r) Well thanks again for another great review. Ride safe buddy
Hey Cager, I bought a 2013 FZ6R a couple of weeks ago. It's my first bike and I'm taking it slow... as hard as that sounds. Mountain roads here in New Mexico are unbelievably beautiful and I can't wait for Spring when I can go out daily and just live on those twisties. Just curious though, could you direct me to any vids or how-to's for that fender elim DIY you mentioned at around the 5:30 mark? BTW, US models don't have a center stand :(
Cager, it's strange that your NC doesn't have center stand. My PCX have it. My father's VFR800 VTEC also, my brother's VFR800 FI also have it... I don't get this options from Honda!
Hey Cager, do you think the bike is suitable for beginners if it just has 48 ps, I want to start soon and the bike just looks AWESOME. 48 ps because of european license.
Hi. I am interested in this motorcycle but it is only available as non-ABS locally. Would you say ABS is definitely required with this motorcycle? Thank you.
I had one of these some years ago. It was the best G D bike I ever owned. Economical, comfortable, easy to ride, but (relatively) fast, sweet to look at, and was happy doing absolutely whatever the f*** you wanted. AND it had a centre stand. I only sold it because I needed the money. Would have one again in a heartbeat. Really STUPID of Yamaha to stop making these in my opinion. Superb bike.
Awesome man ! Love all your videos ! I'm a complete newbie and i'm stuck between this and CB500F. I guess since you're insisting many times about xj6 isn't really suitable for a complete newbie i'm better off with CB500F then.
CagerOnTwoWheels lol i just saw the oh wait you do know in Canada we get the worst winter storms ever and when it rains it needs to be heard XD dammit i hate the weather down here :(

Bike is too top heavy and too powerful for a beginner IMO. And it doesn’t have ABS on US models which should definitely be a deal breaker for noobs. Beginners should ride 250 to 300cc bikes and spend their first year developing their skills and researching their next bike.

Nice review. I just bought a XJ6 F Diversion from 2010 as my first bike. Looking forward to riding it.

My Deauville 650 has a centerstand, but it also has shaft drive.
Still handy to do maintenance though :)
good point for the center stand! why Honda didn't made center stands standards on what they call commuters!!? the cb500 series and NC series.
"The pianomakers do make some of the most beautiful machines" - :) hahaha... lol

In the description it says top speed is 202kph, but I've seen a video of it going 220kph stock.
I loved the growling part LOL.

Bought my XJ6F three years ago, because of this video. Dit not regret this for one second :-)
Thanks for comparison to nc700 and cb500 is very usefull for me as im serching for bike in this range. God bless.
My son learned on a FZ6R and he didn't have any problems. It's more the rider than the bike, some people can't handle a 250.
I just bought one in red. In 1 week I will be picking it up :) so excited!!

Good test and review on FZ6R
Make a test if possible on Yamaha FZ8 2014 model...
Hey Cager how did you get the FZ6R in that paint scheme with the blue rims? I haven't been able to find it anywhere in that setup.
Cager, it's strange that your NC doesn't have center stand. My PCX have it. My father's VFR800 VTEC also, my brother's VFR800 FI also have it... I don't get this options from Honda!
That blue cover on the inside of the brake disc hides the abs ring

Those are great and fun bikes. Great view! You have a very beautiful country.
I was totally sold out on this bike until you mentioned engine heating. Is it that bad to affect a potential buyers judgment?
I learned to ride on an XJ6, I'm sure it is ok for other beginners

oi cager , Is the clutch smooth this bike ?
The transmition is hard or soft?
Pode ser conduzida com carta A2?
Abraço
Bem, consumos menores que esses a XJ6F só faz com o motor desligado :) . Estou esclarecido.

Faço 4,5l/100Km. A NC700 faz quanto?
Great review but I don't agree with opinion that this is not a beginners bike. Its a great beginners bike!
Thanks for the information!
Nice man! Love your rewievs.
cager, can you please name the locations you're in once in a while?
+Ruben Russo Cascais, Portugal Guincho, Cabo da Roca
+Ruben Courelas obrigado
Awesome review man think I'm gonna get this bike because of you :)
This is the bike I want for when I pass my Mod 2 :). Perfect for the A2 license! Looks so sexy in white.
perfect for A2? is there a De-tuned version of this bike?
ripmax333 You can get it restricted to 45bhp as it's not over 90bhp in total. So it just fits the requirements.
How often do you see your analyst?
Cager on Two Wheels - V.P.
mine killed himself! ;)
Great review matey !
a really great review. thank you very much for your videos. i just bought a xj6 (naked version) hopefully i like it :)
NC 700 S - 3.2 média ...
A nc700d tem centerstand. Compraste a nc errada. :p

Still roads are different.
9:27 ahahahah cager you are Mad man... ahahah love iT.
Se os consumos desta fossem iguais a NC 700 seria uma maravilha.
I just love watching your video for the way u talk :-D I love u!!!!
That teleport made me laugh it was so abrupt and kinda a fail hahahaha.
ahahah loved the angry bike part! FEED ME ROAD!
The fz6r in canada has no abs why would yamaha do that?
CagerOnTwoWheels lol i just saw the oh wait you do know in Canada we get the worst winter storms ever and when it rains it needs to be heard XD dammit i hate the weather down here :(
Same here in Mexico :(

8k € ... mmm nop, at least not me. Better choose a Tenere and have some fun in all kind of terrain.
you are a very logical man. i like you.
This is not a beginner bike? I would say that this is one of the best beginner bikes out there.
I agree.

Omg you made me laugh so much!! "Grrrr, feed me road!!! Yeah, let's go!!"
9:16 the power of christ compels you
Someone's having a lot of fun! LOL
holy crap i got my motorcycle license on that bike!
These bikes feel fast, sound good, are a lot of fun, of course they're not really fast, not in the litre bike class. But they feel fast!
grande análise.farteime de rir ao minuto 9:15
Rah i fucking love u
True, this bike is a bit overpriced. MT-09 is only 700 Euros more, and that is a proper hooligan machine.
Yeah Honda, what the fuck? :) haha XJ6 Diversion is just beautifull. Got mine as well, very nice bike.
Dunno how I came across this, just get the r1 and r6 , cba watching the whole video zzzz
See honda, what the fuck ;)
