Thanks so much for this video. There are so many films out there, this helps me choose the better ones. I'm going to try to watch all of the winners. Would you say that all the nominees are worth considering? All the best.
exhuma was soooo freaking good its def a must watch exhuma and the medium was the best mystery/horror movie for me for last year such a good eerie vibe and horror elements not like every other movie who puts 95% jumpscares that u can see coming a mile away
I thought Exhuma was so overrated. I was disappointed by it. The effects felt so cheap, & too over the top. With all the hype, I was expecting it to be as great as The Wailing, which is one of my favorite movies of all time, I just rewatched it recently on Netflix 4k, it's so good. I've been a big Korean movie fan for 15+ years now. I feel like their movies these past few years haven't been as good as they used to be. A lot of their action movies seem very influenced by Hollywood now too, a lot of shaky cam & fast cuts. A lot of them also do this effect during fight scenes where it's sped up to make it look like they're fighting faster, I hate that effect.
Seeing Exhuma land sweeping almost every category just shows how low the korean industry has steeped down as in standard and quality-wise in 2024. I just hope the industry revives itself from westernization and americanization. Parasite gave the industry its biggest achievement and harmed it the most at same time. Right now, almost every director and showrunner from south korea are trying to fit in with the garbage western culture and political agenda; leaving behind the glorious south korean originality. Just sad.

Thank you Eon for putting Korean Cinema on the map.....I always look forward to your Videos
Harbin is not available to watch at the moment, but I do believe it will be the best Korean movie of 2024.

Finally .... 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Is it OK to say Korean cinema wasn't strong in 2024. Also the Alphabet message this year was so strong, it seemed the west threatened them...
Uh oh. Were there any Korean tv shows you liked in 2024?
@Penelope416 The Trunk.
Certainly the weakest year of the decade so far.
@@Penelope416 Light shop was simply the best last year.
EXHUMA!!! 👏👏👏
only because Harbin was late to the game

Exhuma is so overrated, it was generic. Disappointed
You know whats not overrated Taking a shower once in a while.
Agree
I don't think so. When the Samurai thing shows up, it slightly derails the film. But up to that point, it is one of the best films of the year.
I thought it was pretty good. The samurai demon to me was like mr. vampire meets the wailing.
