Korean movies are underrated.The movies are often well written and the cinematography is just amazing. Even the actors are very talented. They deserve to be recognized internationally.

The actors are seriously well educated and trained in music , dance, literature, the arts and writing. Some are just naturals and so fresh. The stories are quite universal and even though I do not understand Korean, many people have worked hard to do their best on the subtitles. I agree that the cinematography and staging and directing are excellent.

Forgotten is just phenomenal! It's a must watch I definitely recommend. I don't think I have ever seen these many plot twists in a movie before, till the end it was unpredictable.

You could watch any Korean movie or drama and be entertained. "Forgotten" had me literally yelling and almost fell off my couch, it was so insanely good lol There's so MANY twists yet it's done perfectly and keeps you in suspense. The writers in Korea are #1

Loved Witch, Train to Busan, and Parasite. But Silenced is a movie that tore me apart. It’s so intense and immersive.
Can you explain the ending of silenced cuz I really wanna know what happened to seol the daughter of Kang in ho was she able to get the surgery or not?

Forgotten is my fav!
I watched Forgotten and there was literally nothing I could predict. I usually like watching mystery’s because I like to try and predict things but there wasn’t a single thing I saw coming. 20/10 film
I just finished Forgotten and wow it was really a great movie. The plot twist is mind blowing and the last part made me emotional. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE. You really need to watch this. Thanks to this channel and I learned about Forgotten

'Forgotten' & 'Train to Busan' are two of the best movies. Korea has some of the most talented film makers, directors, actors and film staff ever.

I recommend: Your Name Engraved Herein, The Divine Fury, The Handmaiden, Swing Kids, The Wailing, Sea Fog and Midnight Runners :-)

The only downside to watching Korean movies.... Not knowing the language and having to watch the subtitles when actors are putting their souls on the screen.

@@kayellai5278 I cried two times in that movie 1st is when Ma dong seok named his kid and then he became a zombie and 2nd is the ending when gong yo became a zombie thinking about her daughter when she was a kid and then fell from the train.

This was a great list. I feel like there are some more good movies that could have been added, my list goes like this(in no specific order), Midnight Runners, The Host, Bedeviled, Parasite, Forgotten, Extreme Job.
Also Memories of Murder, Yellow Sea, Wailing, and I Saw the Devil are great movies you shouldn't miss
I only watch the Korean movies with the English translation. Cannot get enough of them. The content, cinematography is fabulous and the actors are so talented. I have to many favorites to list. A huge fan from New Zealand...xx

Big Boy and Silenced are both old films that I watched years ago. It's so beautiful that I can hardly sleep thinking about the characters.

Korean cinema has so many amazing movies but nothing can top The Wailing. That movie will blow you away and will stay with you for a long time.
My favorites are The King: Eternal Monarch & Iris 1. I was also impressed with Steel Rain.

My favorite Korean dramas are: rank 1st is Hastag Alive, rank 2nd Mother, rank 3rd is Tunnel, rank 4 is Chase, rank 5 is Ukja. Best actor is Yoo Ah In in Hastag Alive.
My favorites are Tune In For Love, Train to Busan, Space Sweepers, The Chase and Alive. I’ve seen them so many times over again my kids are talking about me.

Ive rewatched Parasite and Train to Busan twice recently and still amazing. I live in the US and can't find Old Boy which I haven't watched in 15yrs. Not going to lie Along the Gods wasn't as interesting as I thought it would be but that's just my opinion

I would recommend everyone to watch 'Midnight'. It is literally the best! It had me crying, cursing, entertained and at the edge of my seat the whole time.
Gong yoo, choi woo shik and ma dong seok are the top actors for movie. You can see how much role they have in this list
I recently watched "The King's Affection" which was really good. I also watched "The Crowned Clown" which was pretty good. Both are mini series.
The Crowned Clown was incredible. Top-notch acting all around

I saw most of these movies, but my movie 'Hope" or also known as 'Wish" is not on here.(insert sad face here)I guess since it's a really touchy subject. The movie is great because it shows how far a father would go to make his daughter smile again.

just watched “forgotten” because of the comments hyping it up here and maybe before that raised my expectations more than it should’ve it wasn’t that memorable for me. but if there’s a movie better and more memorable than that it is “the call”. it’s one of a kind and a must watch!

I just finished "Crash Landing on You" and I couldn't keep count how many times I cried, incredibly touching romantic series.. "It's okay to not be okay" was great too and so is "Kingdom". I'm mad at myself for not watching Korean movies much earlier.

Silenced is so heart breaking that I couldn't bear to watch it completely. GONG YOO just shows why he is so respected.
My Mister, Something in the Rain, Padam Padam, Empress Ki, Antique, and of course some of the ones mentioned, Parasite, Burning, The Man from Nowhere, and Castaway on the Moon, and so so many more.

Train to busan is my forever favourite. I always keep that movie in my phone. And i can't tell u how much i cried at the end when i first watched this movie. I don't cry anymore bt emotions are same.
