    Thanks for the video. I just installed mine with the new lights and it's great. (It's night and day you could say).

    thank you!!! i started printing a grid that ended up being a remix that uses this mod. i wasn’t planning on adding this mod, and i didn’t really understand how to install this when i saw the model on printables. thank you so much for sharing, looks quite simple!

    About the lidar. Is it just an assumption that the extra light interferes with the lidar or has it been confirmed?

    • @roccocroce
      @roccocroce 26 дней назад

      bump for this because it seems unlikely this would interfere.

    I did this mod and it's great to look at, only problem is that there is no setting adjustment for the camera brightness, so the videos are all bleached out.

    • @RadDadsPrintLab
      @RadDadsPrintLab  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah, I wish Bambu gave some controls over the camera. If you turn the lights on prior to starting the print, the camera will adjust automatically to the new brighter lights

      @@RadDadsPrintLab Really that's interesting thank you. The first time I tried printing with the lights on, I got a Lidar error so since then I've not been turning them on until the job it on the way. I'll try again with them on from power up.

    Thank you so much for this video and for the link to the files! I was so shocked that there were barely any lights in this thing and wished it was brighter as I've seen other brands with much brighter interiors (i.e. the Ultimaker). I like to be able to see what I'm printing from far away without sticking my face in the glass (yes I know I can use the camera, but still) and this looks like it will do the trick! 😊

    Do they make IR LED strips? If so, you could install the IR strip, and you could still see well on the camera feed, and it should not affect anything else. Right?

    If it could potentially get hot enough to recommend PETG for the frame, won't that then be too hot for the TPU gasket?

    Can I ask you a couple questions? Why didn't you choose a different reiser, which allows you, besides adding light, to organize in the reiser openable mini doors for better ventilation, which is required for some filaments? And second question, you didn't glue the TPU gaskets on? Yes, I realize that as long as they are pressed down by the lid they won't go anywhere, but still. If you glue them on, what glue would be best? I've tried gluing TPU to PETG models once, the experience was generally positive, but not very good.

    • @RadDadsPrintLab
      @RadDadsPrintLab  6 месяцев назад +2

      Never thought about glueing it. I Probably should. I saw some of the other risers after I did this. I do Like the simplicity of this one.

    Unrelated question but did your printer come with that 'Marvin' label on it or did you add that ? I've been noticing most X1's I see on youtube have a label similar with a different name on it !

    • @RadDadsPrintLab
      @RadDadsPrintLab  Год назад +2

      I added it myself. It helps me keep track of my two printers. I named them after characters from "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy". Since you can see the name of the printer in Bambu Studio, it makes it really helpful.
