I highly recommend using crushed up Cinnamon Toast Crunch or you can go wild with crushed Golden Grahams, mini chocolate chips, and dehydrated mini marshmallows for a Smores version.
My wife and I make rice crispies every Christmas and the larger the marshmallow, the better. They don’t melt as easy, but there’s less of that caking agent. I kinda like getting a small bit of unmelted marshmallow as well. Love the chip idea btw
We love Whatchamacallit's. Start with the basic Rice Crispy Treat, add peanutbutter to the base, then press into the pan and add a thin layer of melted caramel on top, and a thin layer of melted chocolate on the caramel. Refrigerate to harden, pop out of the pan, and cut= Totally Ramped Rice Krispy Treats. Still going to try brown butter and potato chips in it, maybe with mini chocolate chips....it sounds amazing.
Every night i queue up several of your videos to fall asleep to, always love a Friday because it means I start eith a new episode. But the super loud scream towards the end of this one woke me right up and scared me shitless!
Why the heck didn’t I come up with this idea 30 years ago? Holy Crow! My mind and taste buds are blown!!! Just made these! Holy Crow! Just the browned butter elevates the heck out of the rice crispy treats, but the potato chips are KILLER!
So it’s a wonderful idea, truly it is. I’m just curious if you pondered other potato chip flavors??? Utz makes a hot honey chip and I’m curious how that would go down in a rice krispy treat.
Got to try this! But there’s one way to improve it. Make your own marshmallow. I did that and made a batch of regular Rice Krispie Treats. Pretty amazing!
The chef at a restaurant I used to work at showed me browned butter Rice Krispie treats and it completely changed my view on Rice Krispie treats. He would use bourbon and the best quality vanilla bean paste good god I am really craving that now
I make mine with added caramel jersey lollies melted with the butter, and they are sooooo tasty! I never thought to brown the butter or add the chips.... off to make some amped up rice crispees.
If you go a little longer with the heat, you can caramelize the marshmallows and it adds a touch of bitter to the flavor (a mistake I made which turned out delicious)
This is one treat that has given me a headache any time I try since the first grade. And I’ve tried a lot because EVERYONE insists their recipe is different and they are literally always the same. I’m definitely going to try this one tho, the chips HAVE to work!
Damn! Been doing brown butter with almond extract and Maldon flake salt for YEARS. Never thought to use chips, but these trailmix vibes just make so much gawt dang sense!!
My late husband and I tried to make our rice crispies like the ones from Noodles & Co ours were always too hard so we started adding marshmallow fluff to it and they were so good!
Kellogs used to put that recipe on their Rice Bubbles packets when I was a kid (sans the chips). But after they started making their own - the recipe disappeared.
If you wanna avoid the INSANE sugar high then use syrup or honey instead of marshmallows, that way it's natural sugars instead of artificial sweeteners and they still taste great
I want to believe it, but anytime I mess with the Rice Krispy Treat recipe, frosting, sprinkles, using a different cereal, etc. I really just end up wanting regular rice krispies. The only thing that works besides the rice krispies is corn flakes.
Dang... that potato chips idea... really got me hypnotized 😵
go corn flakes.... it's better
same.. and whoever said cornflakes hell naw u need salty to balance
@@iMobinatorthere's sweets that dont need salt and rice cripy is one of them. Maybe if u had caramel on the top❤😂
its stupid

You mean like they sell at gas stations?
How original
But it won’t cost 1.50 every bite
Chips: Nahh
Cinnamon Toast Crunch: Hell yeah!

Not me accidentally making brown butter for these my whole life 😂 I was calling it burnt but now I'm *fancy*
It’s only burnt if it’s actually black.

We do this, too. The absolute best - and browned butter is a MUST. 😋
Easy peasy way to make tons of crispy treats for the family great video 📸😀
The brown butter with the saltiness of the chips is gonna make these an absolute S tier🤤
You cut that shit perfectly, edges sharp asf
Every night i queue up several of your videos to fall asleep to, always love a Friday because it means I start eith a new episode. But the super loud scream towards the end of this one woke me right up and scared me shitless!
Of course! The chips makes so much sense! It tones down the extreme sweetness of the krispy rice!!!!
😒

nice! I use browned butter already but the kettle chips are something new. Looking forward to making these.
Its not the length of the knife its the motion in the slice.
I'll take "Things that guys with small knives say" for 600
-guy with small knife
Lmaooooo
You can just use a pairing knife and wipe it off a few times.
No it isn't it's the length & way you let the knife do the slicing. Plus a freshly sharpened chef knife as well is key.

Cinnamon Toast Crunch works even better then chips
my mom used to make homemade rice crispies but added peanut butter 😭 sooooooooo mf goooood!!
Never thought about putting kettle cook chips in it. That’s probably heaven with the salt mixing with the sweet. Going to try that.
Bro became a puffer fish at the end lmao
Evan and Katelyn need to try this!
Add a spoonful of peanut butter to the melted butter before mixing in the other stuff.
DON'T SMASH THE RICE CRISPIES DOWN THEY GET ROCK SOLID.
unimpressed but i drink my sugar out of a whiskey glass or a beercan. Yall do yall

Same. Toasting the rice goes a long way as well.

Brown butter. True game changer. And the chips, genius.
Rice krispies for the win, make more for snacks everyday
That looks amazing, and I usually hate rice snacks.

Crunchy, salty, sweet, chewy, gooey, and whatever else I’m missing, all in one snack. Interesting.
Is there an actual recipe for this? I need quantities.
The basic recipe is everywhere online; just brown the butter, use mini not regular marshmallows, and add some crushed chips.
Bro is glazing this background music lol
Sweet and salty, my favorite. 😍
I made rice crispies with raisins and pistachios. It was great.
Finally after several months i found a recipe using salted butter instead of unsalted
Do the kettle chips replace a certain amount of the Rice Krispies? Like a 3 to 1 ratio?
@JoshuaWeissman add a dash of vanilla in with the mallows and it makes it taste like homemade marshmallows
RECIPE PLEASE JOSH🙏🙏🙏
Do all that... but use fruity pebbles or Cocoa pebbles. so good.
I'm calling the cops
The chips took me by surprise!

Needs to be 90% puffed rice and 10% mallow.
I wanna struggle taking a bit when it's pulled outta the fridge, lolm
Looks tasty!
Chips???!!!??? And the sun came out and the angels cried...
For the next short, can you show me how to cut a tomato? I always struggle with this
Nope no chips just extra marshmallows & melt real chocolate over them after cooled.simply Delicious.
Browned butter... wow, so original...
Kettle chips.. well I'll be damned
So what's your thoughts about mixing cake batter with them?
That really looks good. I bet pretzels taste good too and leave out the salt
Can you try salt frying rice to see if they make rice krispies?
One day I'll cook like him
I want this. But then want to do a version with the potato chips and dark chocolate chips
I tried this, still love the original recipe.
However, they don't make Kraft marshmallow recipe the same anymore.
Those kettle chips got me! Think I just “arrived” in my shorts
Mini marshmallows are the best 😌
Im just happy he didnt say "thats insane" like every other social media chef lol
Totally making them today, adding red, white & blue sprinkles 🇺🇸🎆
“You’re gonna need a long knife..or average”💀
Absolutely too young for youtube
I use marshmallow fluff instead of marshmallows. They don’t get stale as quickly.
Why kettle chips though? Is it to have the salt offset the sweetness?
Recipe please!! I need to know how much of everything!
I feel like making those old popcorn balls😊
Using another pan to make the top of the krispies flat is an ingenious idea why didn’t I think of it
