How To Turn a Cheap Screwdriver Into an Engraving Tool!

Today's video will show you how to turn a cheap screwdriver into a graver, for the use in creating engravings, the first step is to aneal the screwdriver, then you cut the head off, and begin shaping to the correct angles, once youve got the profile roughed in it's time to heat treat, to do this I used a simple stovetop flame (although you could use a blow torch or a forge!) and quenched in water, after this the graver is then sharpened to the final angles, to set these angles up you can use a similar method by folding paper to the required angles, or by simple using a protractor.The graver was then tested. After a few intial test cuts I rubbed some black acrylic paint into the cuts to make them pop.
