    Keep the turbos out of sight , it takes planning and talent to keep them under the bonnet . Anyone can mount a turbocharger external

    I hope that what's practical and doable tucks as much as possible into the current lines of the car.
    I'm sure you'll knock it out of the park which ever way you go.

    Depends what you mean by out of the bonnet. If it’s not by a lot you could look at twin scoops or a bonnet bulge/bulges if you can get them low enough.

    I like the car the way it is, but getting fresh air to the turbos is a lot better for the engine

    Turbos out the bonnet have been done to death mate, do something different to the norm, maybe remote I know that's been done before as well but would keep a classic Aussie shape as classic as possible especially where the car lives u r practically the only one there so stay unique and stand apart from the rest.

    Congrats on the 88's Dude, got to keep the turbo's under the bonnet.
    That's a shit go by whoever dropped the ball bearing in the exhaust... that's a mallet to hand-worthy incident.

    1st thing is glasses when you work on cars , value your eyes mate they're the things you see the bit of stuff your wheels roll on , sometimes really fast sometimes not so much. Value your peepers as if they were the most important thing in your life!!!!!!!

    G’day Rasta, the little bloke has the ‘good noise’ rockin! Luke, know ya busy but in one of your vids I placed a link to David Vizard the porting wiz. Awesome viewing for the home porter. Re the the ‘fat’ turbo’s, down low if you can get em. If ya can’t, we’ll forgive ya. Just need to see the Trana on the track. Was wondering how the maverick was coming along. Have atit crew. Al.

    I hope there is a way to keep everything inside the panels. You admitted it is a race car in sleeper skin- so can you buy the space you need by modifying the passenger floor pan/firewall to make the new toys from PRI in?

      How fu*ked is it when people do sh*t like that! I had a BEAUTIFUL restomod LJ 4 door with a 383 and a 4 speed manual that got stolen while I was working doing a 2nd job on the weekend. The guy I was working for sold the car to me, was aware that I fitted this really hot N/A 383 and offered me this job so he could set up the theft of the car back from me... I didn't realise it at the time, the guy was a "friend's" older brother, but the car had already been stolen a re- birthed before it was sold to ME... The coppers didn't even care. I told them who took it and how I knew this information and they told ME to go trespassing and get photos before they would do anything. They wanted ME to do THEIR JOB- and that was it for the car... The guy knows I know it was him, he knows he's gonna get it one day- he just won't know when

    Hey Luke, I’m about to purchase your HR Holden leaf spring kit. Im currently running a rod shop 9 inch which has 85mm lowering blocks that are welded to the diff like seen in your video. Is it required to remove these blocks ? Or will your kit work fine with the blocks ? Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks Shaun.

    • @motorfab
      @motorfab  3 дня назад

      It will work well with the blocks. Just order the low or all round kit. Super low will be way too low with the blocks as well.

    Don't you DARE! 😂 No lazy fabrication my guy, it's soooo tiring to see. Us Aussies are known for better workmanship than that... There are other LC/LJ's built like yours that don't take the easy route... Maybe a couole of "speed bubbles" over the turbos like when guys put Hemi's in '32's and run a hood! 😂😂😂

    • @motorfab
      @motorfab  6 дней назад +1

      I will definitely take that into consideration. I’ve not cut any corners yet so I don’t want to start now.

      @@motorfab I'd love to see it in person- I don't doubt it at all, I'm sure the fab work is as good as it looks on camera. Love the car and the channel. Your living the dream as far as I'm concerned- the fact you can drive that on the street makes my head spin 😎.
      I wish our government was more lenient on pro street cars on the streets here like they were in the 80's. I used to own a really nice LJ 4 door with a C.O.M.E Racing Holden based 383 and an M21/9 inch combo. I had to register it as a 253 swap to get it on the road even though it has a full length Castlemaine Rod Shop chassis kit and the brake combo the brake combo the engineer requested- LH front disc set up/ Mas Cyl and HQ drums... 253 was as big as they would sign off on at the time (early 2000's) in Victoria! The car was way over engineered for the little high revving 253
