- Hit that Sub and Like button!!!! In this video, I will show where to go to get HAMClock for FREE...
I have used HAMClock every day since I found it almost a year ago. I think its an essential tool in your HAM Radio Shack.
HamClock is a kiosk-style application that provides real-time space weather, radio propagation models, operating events, and other information particularly useful to the radio amateur.

I've been running a web server version of this for a while. Love it. Also have a separate "portable" pi that is configured to boot immediately to HamClock and behaves much like a dedicated commercial appliance.
Honestly, a RPi is the way to go and then you can access Hamclock through your network.
One thing I found out is that HAMClock has the capability to be run/controlled remotely through a browser. Or in other words you can have HAMClock running on a server which is away from your shack -- but access HAMClock through a browser running on say, a laptop in your shack. No HAMClock is not a Geochron -- but for me it does everything I need it to do. And unlike the Geochron -- if you have some understanding with Linux -- HAMClock can be had for free.
Yes, and it's full rig control if you have FLRig also if you link your wsjt-x to it it will show the decode list as well.. Very very versatile and have loved it ever since I found it a year ago..
great program for free!!!
I am very interested in viewing the setup video for windows. I can't get it to work no matter what and I think it might be that I'm not understanding what to do. I had a stroke in November of 2017, and I have a hard time doing things like this and it is very aggravating. Thank you for posting this information. 73, Bob KD8IF
Thank you for making me aware of this. Downloading the Docker container version of this now
it also has the ability to have live dx spots on it, great tool for the shack
A video on the setup would be very nice. 73 W4DES
r wanting it on a ras pi or a windows platform
i love it, been running it for awhile
Free as long as you DIY and don't fall for the $300 price being asked for a RPi 3b and case with it installed. Why the official site is promoting the seller is beyond my understanding.
Yes please a set up video I have it on Raspberry-PI did not know you can do live spots and dx cluster 73 Phil G0BVD
The real one is so expensive, it's simply criminal!😐
Thanks for the video
What SDR are you using? I love the screen you have of it at the 0:58 mark.
I am new but have Hamclock working on my RPI 3 and love it.
No SDR involved here... The HAMClock and the radio interface you see is from a FTDX-10 and I have it streaming through a video capture device ... Yes its HDMI and yes I am running HDMI on a FTDX10 and have been for almost a year now
setup video would be great. thanks!
I tried the install instructions, but never could get it to connect in the web browser. 🤷🏼♂️
as long as you put in the ip address and port number plus live.html
@@anonymous_friend
for example...put in your ip address:8081/live.html and your good to go
Thanks for your great video on setting up hamclock on windows. I have successfully installed hamclock and gotten it running! Unfortunately, after rebooting, I have not been able to figure out the correct sequence of commands to relaunch hamclock short of following the entire install sequence again. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Wayne KB0JOS
In the cmd prompt window .. type in wsl sudo hamclock and then enter your password.. it wont show you typing the PW then press enter then you should be able to go back to the browser and get hamclock
Thank you
Wondering if anyone has live streamed Hamclock?
I have a Inovata Hamclock and its amazing. My buddy ordered one and I was going to try to use a webcam to take still pictures every 30 min and upload to him (Probably to a dedicated email) My brain is coming up short and I feel like I'm over thinking it. I'm a Mac guy BTW
You can access it through your network so you can screenshot every 30mins and send it to him ..
I can view mine on every device hooked to my network
i new it! the earth is flat!
😂
The earth also has two flat circles AKA HAMClock can display the earth map as two halves of its sphere. LOL.
Ya ! It's flat all the way around !
Sim a terra é plana e está no centro do universo. Tudo roda ao redor da terra. É mesmo ignorante.
after downloading - which file do you run to install the program on windows?
Look in the description for a link to the instructions
there is no one file for windows you have to make your windows machine think it is a linux machine and config that way
Anything for MacBook Pro new system M1, M2 and M3?
What is a DX cluster?
Never got mine to scale correctly to my
Raspberry pi display. Maybe the windows version is better
in the pi setup there is a screen resolution that you can change for your screen size.
if your using a ras pi os then got to the ras pi logo and click on it and youll see screen configuration
You provide the resolution at build time. For the web server build, I go with the largest resolution available. The web browser will scale according to the browser window size.
Thank you for this ! Is there a android version ?
no android version
but if you have it on your computer at home you can see it thru any browser
wish it worked on IOS.
Link has been removed
Installing wsl on Windows 10, latest updates, does not work. Waste of time.
What do you mean.. I have it running on 3 separate window machines one of which is Windows 11..
Pop filter, pop filter anyone? Pop filter…. Pop filter?
It's the moon that's flat

I promise it will sound better next time... I realized my mistake afterwards...First timer foes
@@kf0idt Good job. Hope you realize it was a constructive criticism. I do wish you well and great success!
@@maxellison55 I am a professional photographer my trade so yes I take and get constructive criticism all the time if I want it or not LOL .. Thank you and its been something I been wanting to try for awhile now..
Why run windows? Its really the worst os
It is and also the most commonly used
you can run it on a pi and just run it from your browser on windows you can make change within it@@kf0idt
very interesting, many thanks for sharing 73s de George 9H1AA
Total bullshit. Cannot download for windows. Only works on Linux systems. Cheers from eastern TN
I will be uploading a video tmrw on how to get on a Windows system.. You use The Windows Subsystem for Linux and it works well .. The HAMClock you see in the video is on a Windows 11 computer
it does work on windows but it seed on a linux platform
asking as someone who has no idea about HAM - why does a ham operator need to see what the sun is doing?
They don’t get out much…
The real answer is HF frequencies will skip from the atmosphere for beyond horizon / line of site communication. How and what frequencies will skip the best? Well that depends on how the sun is interacting / charging the atmosphere and other factors.
@@Ivan-kb2si thanks, lol
The sun emits clouds of charged particles. The intensity of these varies with solar flares and sunspot levels. The particles hit the Earths atmosphere and ionosphere and this affects the properties of radio waves and reception. They also create the Northern and Southern lights which can also reflect radio waves. Known as auroral propagation. Therefore- hams are very interested in solar weather as it can affect our hobby greatly. Either enhancing or impeding radio conditions.
Hope this helps Dave G4BTI.
