You’re definitely right his live tone is so mid heavy. Works in the context of a mix but I bet a lot of us would be underwhelmed with it if playing by ourselves in our own houses (at same volumes). I think the SL is a huge part of his tone and always has been
Solid collection of tight riffs! Well done. Much prefer this to poorly played blues basics which usually are on the menu when it comes to utube videos. Havent had amp itch for a while but this amp is growing on me.
I am using Amplitube/3rd party IR's with HS8's through a VG99 with RMC piezo for alt tunings on a strat and have the best sound I ever had in my life. SLO and VH4 are my goto's. No tubes to replace, small space saving tens of thousands of dollars in gear and every possibilty of effects/routing just a click away. It takes time sitting down and creating/sculpting a VST preset but so worth it!!!!!
Amplitube is great. It might not be as good as some of the other VSTs out there in terms of sound or faithfulness to the analog counterparts, but it is my favorite to mess around with tones in, it's very intuitively laid out. I especially love the OR-120 model
Would be awesome to see this amp in a more metal orientated way. Maybe a bit of tweaking with the gain knob, and maybe a TS in front. Keep up the good work!
