This message helped me realize how utterly stuck I was in the cycle of believing I should "not need anybody" and then casting self-judgment when I evitably feel a need that I want someone else to fill. Due to social conditioning BY THE SELF DEVELOPMENT community and even in therapy, I genuinely thought I should heal myself out of having desires and needs that involve other people. For over a decade. I'm simultaneously mindblown and saddened that I now discovered this alternative belief that I CAN depend on others without being "ugly."

i have a dream and belief because of it,,in inter or combined spiritual dependance,,,we never seem to give credence to the life forms that live inside of us,,and feed off us and feed us,,,they count more than we know,,life always finds a way,,and even if that life is a bacteria or such it will not give up its life so we can live,,,cancer will not surrender its existence for the sake of the host,,,so balance and community are inside of us ,,as it is on the outside of us,,we cant ignore them and live a happy, healthy, strong life.

For child who never receive loved from their mother will need to experience dependence in order to feel safe enough to reach an independent state. from they realise they are connected to everyone and everything and so they become interdependent.
I have been watching most of your videos for a while now and this one imho is said in a way that is easy to understand and it made me think about me and my next door neighbor, the louder I and others in my house the louder the neighbors are. I used to fistfight and drink cause trifles and my neighbors dogs would bark like crazy ALL day and night, but I am better now. I have my drinking in check and I don't argue or yell at people through self discipline and now that I really think about it ever since I became more quietand calm so have my neighbors.

as a person who has been forced to be self sufficient from the age of 9 and thus forced to be supremely independent, I also learned to feel disdain for codependence. I needed to hear this.

channeled beings like bashar and abraham have never got in the way of my wellness. i think it happens to some when some people distort the idea of being emotionally free to pretend they don't have needs. its one thing to have a need and know it, and be real with your CURRENT vibration, and another thing to pretend you're above this level that you are at, which is not true. we can minimize our suffering from not having needs met by shifting out focus in MY own experience, or even remove it. its still being honest with ourselves, but simply changing our slant of perception and continued attention on things..
one last thing" many people go way overboard and overemotional with their "needs" when often they are not even needs, but demands of want. confusion that we "need" these things to be happy and well. we need this person... or this person to behave "this" way...... much clarity and inner wisdom is necessary to distinguish between these things, but its possible and get easier with inner reflection of our own "ego" or programming and hurts.
Owen fox Sometimes, we blame ourselves for our suffering. We ask ourselves, "If I am the creator of my reality, why would I do this to myself?" Of course, we may not know that we have the awareness that our choice in perceptions molds our "reality". But at one point, I felt very guilty. I'm sure many people think this at some point too. We hurt ourselves and others without intent, but when we see that we always had the power to shift things in the other direction, we blame our ourselves (sometimes). It's important to detach ourselves from our environment (sometimes) to see the broad perspective. That means that we should detach ourselves from the teachings of our spiritual guides because truth is infinite. It's important to give ourselves a break! I don't ever believe anything can be overemotional because how can we have too much emotion hehe. We understand how we want to feel, yet we go to the "hardware store for milk" and ask why we can't find the answers. I am completely grateful for the channels we have access too, though some people just aren't at the mindset to accept their truths at the moment. Sometimes uncovering the truth is a really difficult thing to do because of the contrast it creates in their perception. It's ok to have needs. It's progress. Everyone loves to have needs when we know that they can all be met, and that's how the guilt goes away too. Once we take our minds off the past and understand we can change our present moment to that which we desire, we'll be ok. I think this is the message I wanted to say, but I'm not sure. I feel like it could easily be misinterpreted because words aren't always the best medium for ideas.

Terrific, and a very subtle, spiritual truth. Which many on this spiritual journey appear to miss the importance of. The outside is a reflection of us. Not a threat more like a barometer. Did you see at 0.45mins in, Teal’s eyes change colour, there is a flash and also her hair changes colour. Then the eyes remain changed for a few moments. Very interesting!
I started to just laugh towards the end of the video because obviously a couple parts of me realized what was being said... it all made sense and clicked. This video feels like homecoming to realize I am everything and so therefore it's right and true for me to want from "outside myself" because it is ALL a viable part of the whole that is me... and to trust is to trust that anything I am wanting is RIGHT to want, and I shouldn't have to detach myself from whatever it is that I desire - as my desires are also me. my god(dess)! it was all i could do to keep from bawling my eyes out with this lesson. verifying "my needs have NOT been met"... not in the least, by all the mind blowing vistas of potentialities flashing in nano-seconds of warmth and beauty and loving kindness, only to collapse into utter despair; over and over, and over, again. teal, the past two lessons particularly, (fear/dependence) have been nothing short of profound. i am interpreting the shock-wave blast from my chest as indication of great expansion to incorporate the truths you verbalize as an integral component of my own re-creation. on a technical note, the images you use in this video are stunning: and yes, that flash onto your eyes at :45 others have mentioned is a really cool artifact. a screen-shot of that image would make a very interesting addition to a picture gallery. love and blessings

Having almost survived to death in a resistant state of "independence" for fear that dependance was slavery and servitude to abuses and addictions, to lies...and finding myself between two pieces of glass slowly being compressed by the weight of separation...awareness is sweet and the moment I feel good knowing my hurt is mine and my suffering too and that I can meet my needs now, I can witness, acknowledge and see, I can be seen by myself, what a journey. I have learned the hard way that if i become too dependant on other people for their time or attention they will invaribly seek to control and dominate me or if i allow it, they will get me to compromise to what feels right and true for me. Today i have very little trust for other people and will not share much of myself or open up to them anymore. Perhaps my lack of self love & acceptance attracts this reality to me as to the law of attraction. If I end up living the rest of my days on as a hermit, then so be it. If I could generate my own light. I would. Some sources claim that a new heart needs to be born into Creation or we are all going to die.
I have something akin to what you describe Robert. I recommend her other video on Meeting Your Needs and the Zebra at the Watering Hole. It helped me be able to be more aware of myself. I'm learning how to accept into my life people who are able to meet my needs and whom I am able to meet their needs My suffering has been from wanting/needing things (mostly emotional) from lovers, friends, family and these people have not been able to meet my needs. Often it is where I learned about how ppl manipulate me and how I unfortunately learned to manipulate others to get my emotional, material needs met. Teal's videos help me realize that it is possible for my needs to be met in a healthy, honest, safe way. Safe in that I know i won't be manipulated. And that I do have it within myself to be brave and direct about my needs. maybe I need to be loved, appreciated. maybe I am afraid that someone I choose to love won't be able to meet these needs,and then I may feel the rejection because, honestly I have held the belief that I don't deserve to get my needs met--told that my needs are not ok/appropriate/condoned by my culture/family/society. I love Teal's videos and I hope the information and cmpassion she offers us all helps you as well. Everyone deserves love and I hope you find a balance btwn leaning on others and allowing others to lean on yourself. learning to trust and be trusted. Namaste
I usually agree with you, but I feel powerless at work because my superiors are always disappointing me and making my life miserable. It's easy to say I should just find another place to work, but I like my co-workers, the location, what I do, etc. So I have learned not to depend on my superiors to make good decisions that will benefit me, and I independently do the best I can with what I have to work with. So unfortunately, it isn't always feasible to "go to the milk store for milk." Yes in relationships, but no in the work place. Plus in relationships you are equal with your partner. In the work place, there is always someone in power and someone who is the subordinate...unfortunately, that's how it goes in real world and in this economy. But thank you for the wonderful work you do, Teal! Can't wait for the next video.

Thanks.. Easy to say. But true, I focus on my problems instead of solutions, and it brings me into disalignment. My vibration is the one of lack and lonlyness when I focus that way. I try to pretend like I dont want the things I want so badly, because its easyer than to align with those things. I see the way out) This Teal's message helped me to align with my desires, helped me to alllow myself to feel what I really feel. It brought very important things to the surface in me over night and now I need to keep myself in alignment relative to them. Hmmm.. alignment with my source is alignment with my own desires.
:-) i think you got it. remember...if you say it's hard it will be. i have a little technique you could try to help you release negative thoughts and feelings lay on your bed and stretch out your arms and legs out...make an x ..like your stretching...then...breath...feel the release in your chest...then put a soft smile and breath again...you start feeling good...do this till you feel rid of the negative...then insert an image in your mind that makes you feel happy! this technicque works wonders let me know. love to you :-)

I haven#t watched this video in its entirety yet, but talk about Law of Attraction. Been thinking a lot about these two issues, regarding myself, as of late. I HATE that I find it almost impossible to be independent, as far as money and living by myself goes. I'm 23 and still live at home, and I have had it with my family. Something that never made sense to me is the saying “ my happiness doesn’t depend on anyone else “ people are always quoting Will Smith where he stated that his wife’s happiness is not his responsibility. Why does everyone think of this as the truth ? Of course our happiness is dependant on others . I was in a abusive relationship for years and I wasn’t happy . Now I’m in a healthy relationship and I’m very happy . We need people to meet our needs .

i know i can get everything i need or want, but i understand, through resistance, the humility which is "needed" to resist what...what..."physically" i experience nothing, "spiritually" i experience everything...the physical experience i "need" is resistance, because resistance is a tool, it helps my self understand what i resonate, what i attract, what i repel...resistance helps me understand "what"...because opposites attract...i understand, through nature, through neutrality, by experiencing everything, with my spiritual self, there is no "need" to experience with my "physical" self, what the spiritual self "needs" to experience is resistance, because it is unlimited, it knows everything, it is everything, so physically i resist creating what i "need" or "want" unless my spiritual self "needs" my physical self to understand, to believe, to "remind" me of the conviction i am creating to become "what".

Hey Teal I became very involved in spirituality when my son was born because I realized I had a lot of personal issues and wasn't ready for a child. I got really deep into it and came to the realization that I wasn't grounded. Any conversation that I had with another person would inevitably veer towards something too deep and inappropriate for the discussion. My family could no longer relate with me. Non of my spiritual search seemed to fix my issues of self hatred, shame, depression, thoughts of suicide, numbness, codependency etc. Even after working a 12 step program for 2 years my issues still dominate my life. Anyway I ended up doing research into Christianity and became convinced that all of my spiritual practices were evil and that I was practicing lighter forms of satanism which terrified me and I left the spiritual community all together. I became a born again Christian in 2014 and then became an atheist in 2016. Through it all I still find myself drawn towards spiritual practices but am afraid because at this point I'm entirely confused about the world beyond the material world. Im terrified of it now, but at the same time I can't get rid of this spiritual nagging. A part of me wants to explore that area again, but I'm so afraid of it now because the after affects of biblical doctrine still lurk in my mind and I wonder to myself; what if the Bible is true and I am communing with demons when I allow myself to have visions or get involved in dream analysis or meditation or holotropic breathwork ect. I can't help that I'm so intensely drawn towards things of the spirit, but it seems like Christianity has ruined it for me. Do you have any advice for me? My heart won't let me walk away from spiritually but my rationale is keeping stuck in this limbo. How can I move forward?
I was raised christian, so I understand your fears... If you are still doubtful I' d suggest you to focus on becoming more and more aware of yourself, make your spiritual practice a self discovery and completion one, instead of a practice of looking outside of you into the spirit or astral realm. Maybe one day you will want to venture inside the astral world again, but only when you will be totally or close to totally heald, integrated and Conscious of everithing you are. If you go there while you are still filled with unresilved issues you will be a match to bad experiences, I think that the mistaske that new agers tend to do is to want to deal with the astral when they are still struggling with many personal issues, thinking that repeating positive mantras, focusing positively and wearing crystals is going to protect them, while they are actually attracting negative entities and experiences because of their unaware shadow.
@@liberaazzurra Resolution is integration of shadow with light side. Shadow is not bad, light is not good, they are aspects of reality. They can be bad or good both, but not inherently. I have been in severe psychosis as they call it, no idea what it was, except that it can have the better of me when I let my guard down. I think a part of me separated from the rest of me, and I went on to do stuff like chakras with unresolved issues. My story is much like how you describe, except for one thing. It didn't turn out all bad. My burden lightened, life quality improved, and I found out what I really want to do. There are still major obstacles, but I have the confidence to face them now. Ultimately the bad spirits will have to twist my sense of reality beyond all recognition to break me, because I keep coming back. It's as if I am the pain of my delusions, and by resisting me they only cause more of that pain to themselves. I'm not sure if they want me dead, enlightened, or both. It changes as I change. When I record my voice, I hear pain, sadness, suffocation and something warm. But no negativity, not much. The answer and the question are both unknown to me. Many claim they know better and tell me things, yet they do not see where they fall. Those who do not claim, I listen, because they know more of me. It may all sound foggy, but my direction is clear. I become less burdened, for there is no longer need, as I value what I should more now. I saw that value in a few tiny creatures, whose passing left a hole in my heart. I do wonder if the hole gets bigger if I start to see that value in others and they pass, but I don't think I can afford to turn a blind eye. I do not think I want to, either. So I choose risk for love, over security of fears. But, it is not much of a choice anymore, rather a must.

i have a dream and belief because of it,,in inter or combined spiritual dependance,,,we never seem to give credence to the life forms that live inside of us,,and feed off us and feed us,,,they count more than we know,,life always finds a way,,and even if that life is a bacteria or such it will not give up its life so we can live,,,cancer will not surrender its existence for the sake of the host,,,so balance and community are inside of us ,,as it is on the outside of us,,we cant ignore them and live a happy, healthy, strong life.

For child who never receive loved from their mother will need to experience dependence in order to feel safe enough to reach an independent state. from they realise they are connected to everyone and everything and so they become interdependent.

I have been watching most of your videos for a while now and this one imho is said in a way that is easy to understand and it made me think about me and my next door neighbor, the louder I and others in my house the louder the neighbors are. I used to fistfight and drink cause trifles and my neighbors dogs would bark like crazy ALL day and night, but I am better now. I have my drinking in check and I don't argue or yell at people through self discipline and now that I really think about it ever since I became more quietand calm so have my neighbors.

channeled beings like bashar and abraham have never got in the way of my wellness. i think it happens to some when some people distort the idea of being emotionally free to pretend they don't have needs. its one thing to have a need and know it, and be real with your CURRENT vibration, and another thing to pretend you're above this level that you are at, which is not true. we can minimize our suffering from not having needs met by shifting out focus in MY own experience, or even remove it. its still being honest with ourselves, but simply changing our slant of perception and continued attention on things..
one last thing" many people go way overboard and overemotional with their "needs" when often they are not even needs, but demands of want. confusion that we "need" these things to be happy and well. we need this person... or this person to behave "this" way...... much clarity and inner wisdom is necessary to distinguish between these things, but its possible and get easier with inner reflection of our own "ego" or programming and hurts.

Sometimes, we blame ourselves for our suffering. We ask ourselves, "If I am the creator of my reality, why would I do this to myself?" Of course, we may not know that we have the awareness that our choice in perceptions molds our "reality". But at one point, I felt very guilty. I'm sure many people think this at some point too. We hurt ourselves and others without intent, but when we see that we always had the power to shift things in the other direction, we blame our ourselves (sometimes). It's important to detach ourselves from our environment (sometimes) to see the broad perspective. That means that we should detach ourselves from the teachings of our spiritual guides because truth is infinite. It's important to give ourselves a break! I don't ever believe anything can be overemotional because how can we have too much emotion hehe. We understand how we want to feel, yet we go to the "hardware store for milk" and ask why we can't find the answers.
I am completely grateful for the channels we have access too, though some people just aren't at the mindset to accept their truths at the moment. Sometimes uncovering the truth is a really difficult thing to do because of the contrast it creates in their perception.
It's ok to have needs. It's progress. Everyone loves to have needs when we know that they can all be met, and that's how the guilt goes away too. Once we take our minds off the past and understand we can change our present moment to that which we desire, we'll be ok. I think this is the message I wanted to say, but I'm not sure. I feel like it could easily be misinterpreted because words aren't always the best medium for ideas.

I started to just laugh towards the end of the video because obviously a couple parts of me realized what was being said... it all made sense and clicked. verifying "my needs have NOT been met"... not in the least, by all the mind blowing vistas of potentialities flashing in nano-seconds of warmth and beauty and loving kindness, only to collapse into utter despair; over and over, and over, again.
teal, the past two lessons particularly, (fear/dependence) have been nothing short of profound. i am interpreting the shock-wave blast from my chest as indication of great expansion to incorporate the truths you verbalize as an integral component of my own re-creation.
on a technical note, the images you use in this video are stunning: and yes, that flash onto your eyes at :45 others have mentioned is a really cool artifact. a screen-shot of that image would make a very interesting addition to a picture gallery.

Having almost survived to death in a resistant state of "independence" for fear that dependance was slavery and servitude to abuses and addictions, to lies...and finding myself between two pieces of glass slowly being compressed by the weight of separation...awareness is sweet and the moment I feel good knowing my hurt is mine and my suffering too and that I can meet my needs now, I can witness, acknowledge and see, I can be seen by myself, what a journey.

I have learned the hard way that if i become too dependant on other people for their time or attention they will invaribly seek to control and dominate me or if i allow it, they will get me to compromise to what feels right and true for me. Today i have very little trust for other people and will not share much of myself or open up to them anymore. Perhaps my lack of self love & acceptance attracts this reality to me as to the law of attraction. If I end up living the rest of my days on as a hermit, then so be it. If I could generate my own light. I would. Some sources claim that a new heart needs to be born into Creation or we are all going to die.
I have something akin to what you describe Robert. I recommend her other video on Meeting Your Needs and the Zebra at the Watering Hole. It helped me be able to be more aware of myself. I'm learning how to accept into my life people who are able to meet my needs and whom I am able to meet their needs My suffering has been from wanting/needing things (mostly emotional) from lovers, friends, family and these people have not been able to meet my needs. Often it is where I learned about how ppl manipulate me and how I unfortunately learned to manipulate others to get my emotional, material needs met. Teal's videos help me realize that it is possible for my needs to be met in a healthy, honest, safe way. Safe in that I know i won't be manipulated. And that I do have it within myself to be brave and direct about my needs. maybe I need to be loved, appreciated. maybe I am afraid that someone I choose to love won't be able to meet these needs,and then I may feel the rejection because, honestly I have held the belief that I don't deserve to get my needs met--told that my needs are not ok/appropriate/condoned by my culture/family/society. I love Teal's videos and I hope the information and cmpassion she offers us all helps you as well. I usually agree with you, but I feel powerless at work because my superiors are always disappointing me and making my life miserable. It's easy to say I should just find another place to work, but I like my co-workers, the location, what I do, etc. So I have learned not to depend on my superiors to make good decisions that will benefit me, and I independently do the best I can with what I have to work with. So unfortunately, it isn't always feasible to "go to the milk store for milk." Yes in relationships, but no in the work place. Plus in relationships you are equal with your partner. In the work place, there is always someone in power and someone who is the subordinate...unfortunately, that's how it goes in real world and in this economy. But thank you for the wonderful work you do, Teal! Can't wait for the next video.

Thanks.. Easy to say. But true, I focus on my problems instead of solutions, and it brings me into disalignment. My vibration is the one of lack and lonlyness when I focus that way. I try to pretend like I dont want the things I want so badly, because its easyer than to align with those things. I see the way out)
This Teal's message helped me to align with my desires, helped me to alllow myself to feel what I really feel. It brought very important things to the surface in me over night and now I need to keep myself in alignment relative to them.

lay on your bed and stretch out your arms and legs out...make an x ..like your stretching...then...breath...feel the release in your chest...then put a soft smile and breath again...you start feeling good...do this till you feel rid of the negative...then insert an image in your mind that makes you feel happy! this technicque works wonders let me know.

I HATE that I find it almost impossible to be independent, as far as money and living by myself goes. I'm 23 and still live at home, and I have had it with my family. Something that never made sense to me is the saying “ my happiness doesn’t depend on anyone else “ people are always quoting Will Smith where he stated that his wife’s happiness is not his responsibility. Why does everyone think of this as the truth ? Of course our happiness is dependant on others . I was in a abusive relationship for years and I wasn’t happy . Now I’m in a healthy relationship and I’m very happy . We need people to meet our needs .

Thanks for making this Teal. I've been pretty anxious for the last couple of days about a new job I'm taking and this helped put things in perspective and try to relax and trust. (I have SA so it's doubly hard for me)
i know i can get everything i need or want, but i understand, through resistance, the humility which is "needed" to resist what...what..."physically" i experience nothing, "spiritually" i experience everything...the physical experience i "need" is resistance, because resistance is a tool, it helps my self understand what i resonate, what i attract, what i repel...resistance helps me understand "what"...because opposites attract...i understand, through nature, through neutrality, by experiencing everything, with my spiritual self, there is no "need" to experience with my "physical" self, what the spiritual self "needs" to experience is resistance, because it is unlimited, it knows everything, it is everything, so physically i resist creating what i "need" or "want" unless my spiritual self "needs" my physical self to understand, to believe, to "remind" me of the conviction i am creating to become "what".

Hey Teal I became very involved in spirituality when my son was born because I realized I had a lot of personal issues and wasn't ready for a child. I got really deep into it and came to the realization that I wasn't grounded. Any conversation that I had with another person would inevitably veer towards something too deep and inappropriate for the discussion. My family could no longer relate with me. Non of my spiritual search seemed to fix my issues of self hatred, shame, depression, thoughts of suicide, numbness, codependency etc. Even after working a 12 step program for 2 years my issues still dominate my life.
Anyway I ended up doing research into Christianity and became convinced that all of my spiritual practices were evil and that I was practicing lighter forms of satanism which terrified me and I left the spiritual community all together. I became a born again Christian in 2014 and then became an atheist in 2016. Through it all I still find myself drawn towards spiritual practices but am afraid because at this point I'm entirely confused about the world beyond the material world. Im terrified of it now, but at the same time I can't get rid of this spiritual nagging. A part of me wants to explore that area again, but I'm so afraid of it now because the after affects of biblical doctrine still lurk in my mind and I wonder to myself; what if the Bible is true and I am communing with demons when I allow myself to have visions or get involved in dream analysis or meditation or holotropic breathwork ect. I can't help that I'm so intensely drawn towards things of the spirit, but it seems like Christianity has ruined it for me. Do you have any advice for me? My heart won't let me walk away from spiritually but my rationale is keeping stuck in this limbo. How can I move forward?

If you are still doubtful I' d suggest you to focus on becoming more and more aware of yourself, make your spiritual practice a self discovery and completion one, instead of a practice of looking outside of you into the spirit or astral realm.
Maybe one day you will want to venture inside the astral world again, but only when you will be totally or close to totally heald, integrated and Conscious of everithing you are.
If you go there while you are still filled with unresilved issues you will be a match to bad experiences, I think that the mistaske that new agers tend to do is to want to deal with the astral when they are still struggling with many personal issues, thinking that repeating positive mantras, focusing positively and wearing crystals is going to protect them, while they are actually attracting negative entities and experiences because of their unaware shadow.
@@liberaazzurra Resolution is integration of shadow with light side. Shadow is not bad, light is not good, they are aspects of reality. They can be bad or good both, but not inherently. I have been in severe psychosis as they call it, no idea what it was, except that it can have the better of me when I let my guard down. I think a part of me separated from the rest of me, and I went on to do stuff like chakras with unresolved issues. My story is much like how you describe, except for one thing.
It didn't turn out all bad. My burden lightened, life quality improved, and I found out what I really want to do. There are still major obstacles, but I have the confidence to face them now. Ultimately the bad spirits will have to twist my sense of reality beyond all recognition to break me, because I keep coming back. It's as if I am the pain of my delusions, and by resisting me they only cause more of that pain to themselves. I'm not sure if they want me dead, enlightened, or both. It changes as I change.
When I record my voice, I hear pain, sadness, suffocation and something warm. But no negativity, not much.
The answer and the question are both unknown to me. Many claim they know better and tell me things, yet they do not see where they fall. Those who do not claim, I listen, because they know more of me.
It may all sound foggy, but my direction is clear. I become less burdened, for there is no longer need, as I value what I should more now. I saw that value in a few tiny creatures, whose passing left a hole in my heart. I do wonder if the hole gets bigger if I start to see that value in others and they pass, but I don't think I can afford to turn a blind eye. I do not think I want to, either.
So I choose risk for love, over security of fears. But, it is not much of a choice anymore, rather a must.
