Another great video. I have been using the Rextons for a couple of months and really like them. Some other "pros" I think are worth mentioning: 1) Costco offers free hearing tests and follow-ups; 2) six month trial period for HA; 3) three year warranty on your HAs; 4) two year loss warranty with no deductible so you can replace 1 HA per year during those 2 years. Keep up the good work.
Thank YOU for such a smart well informed Video. Can you list options for meeting on Zoom with you to fine tune my Rexton reach hearing Aids? Thanks again. je
Good review. I've been wearing Rexton Reach's for 2 weeks now, my first hearing aids. You show some features I was aware of but lost sight of, so this is helpful in that regard. You also demonstrated a feature I didn't realize was there, the Balance in the app, which I had mistakenly assumed was something else, being like the balance control of an amplifier. I'll have to try that one. I had my first adjustment session today, i.e. the first appointment beyond the fitting one. I asked my fitter to give me an additional program, basically the Automatic program with the highs brought down just a little. It took a few tweaks to get it right, but I like it, will see if it becomes my favorite like the Automatic was. I had my fitter adjust my music program today, it sounded deficient in the high frequencies to me and it's better now, but I think it still needs work. Hopefully we can improve that in my next adjustment session in 3 weeks. I wonder how the Rexton Reach compares with the Signia hearing aids of today. They are obviously similar in many respects, however I would like to know precisely how they differ.
@musicantd Thank you for your feedback! And I'm glad the app demo helped as well. 👍 I'll try to get my hands on the latest Signia HA for testing. Subscribe so you don't miss the review when it comes out. 😁 I'm currently reviewing the Starkey Edge AI, and I have to say they're pretty impresive as well.
Have you tried Costco's Sennheiser Sonite R yet? I have had them for about a month, coming from the KS9. The Sonite has a very crisp, even harsh sound, and I want to try the Rexton. I will have to drive 4 hours to a different Costco, because mine doesn't sell the Reach.
Hi @tobyt7163, I have not had a chance to test the Sennheiser Sonite R HA yet. I did test OTC Sennheiser and they were great, but those are OTC. If the sound is too harsh or crispy, it could be just an adjustment is needed. Do you have the ability to work with an audiologist to better adjust them for your hearing profile? You can also try different domes based on your hearing loss level. If none of this is an option, then yes, the Rexton Reach have a very high quality sound that is round and easy to listen to.
I have the Reach hearing aids but I am getting a different experience. The sounds are just too clanky and sharp, to the point of being painful especially around my young grandchildren. The older KS10s were much smoother. Maybe mine are just not set up to my needs well.
@allent1034 - Exactly! It sounds like they're just not set properly or lost your specific program/s. If you already had an audiologist set them up for you, s/he can very easily push the same settings to your HA and fix this issue. If it's been a long time since the last hearing test you did, it may be that your hearing needs changed and you need an update (test and new programs based on new results).
Thank you for providing such great reviews. I have been following you for the past six months and truly value the insights you share. I have severe hearing loss in my left ear and have been using Costco for my hearing aid needs for the past 12 years. However, I recently learned that Costco has canceled its contract with Phonak. I am considering upgrading my hearing aids, but as a Phonak user, I rely heavily on the Phonak Roger system during meetings-it’s something I cannot live without. Given this situation, what recommendations would you suggest if I want to upgrade?
Hi @mosmadi1 - First, thanks for your kind feedback! 🙏 Yes, Costco do not offer Phonak HA anymore, which is a shame. What is the level of hearing loss you have in your right ear? Do you suffer from any other hearing challenges? If speech clarity in noisy environments is a challenge for you, then right now, the Phonak Sphere Infinio are the best HA you can get. I'm still amazed by the speech clarity I'm able to achieve with these HA. And your Phonak Roger should work with them as well.
I used to have severe hearing loss in my left ear and relied on a UP receiver for support. However, I underwent stapedotomy surgery twice on my left ear, and I believe, based on what I’ve been told, that my hearing is now classified as moderate hearing loss. While I can hear better than before, it’s still not perfect. Since I work as an interpreter, hearing is incredibly important for my profession. I appreciate you taking the time to address my concerns. If needed, I can provide my hearing test results from both before and after the surgeries.@@HearingCare-Channel
@@mosmadi1 Based on all that you told me, if you can comfortably afford them, then I'd look into getting the Phonak Sphere. You can use the following link to get the best deals for these (and other) hearing aids: hearshearingandhearables.com/?ref=2953 And please let me know if you have any other questions. 👍
There are 107 costcos in the us that are trialing the sennheiser sonite r which are made by Sonova, the company who owns phonak. They are supposedly similar to what an upgrade of the ks10s would be.
I appreciate your reviews. I recently posted on another of your reviews about Phonak Sphere not working as advertised. After watching this I’m starting to think this might be a better option for my mild hearing loss. What do you think. Why spend $4000 if $1500 will get the job done
Thanks @maxalligood4502, if your hearing loss is mild in *both* ears *and* you have no other hearing health challenges, then yeah! The Phonak Sphere would be an overkill for you. Granted, it'd be a very nice overkill, but still an overkill. 😁 In fact, you may be able to use OTC hearing aids and get enough amplification. Just pay attention to the 1st sentence of my response (mild hearing loss and NO other challenges). You can try the ELEHEAR Beyond (go.yourtinnitusguy.com/ELEHEAR-Beyond) that are going for around $400, and you have a trial period where you can get your money back if they don't work well for you.
If I buy the Rexton Reach at Costco in the US, will I be able to get adjustments on them at Costco in Mexico? Costco in Mexico does handle the Rexton Reach.
Hi @marciareddy6648, if Costco in Mexico does sell and service these hearing aids, then it should be OK, but it might be safer to check with Costco in Mexico *before* you purchase them in the USA.
Finally someone with LOSS giving an honest review..thank you
Thank you @mkwaterstone ! 🙏

You are the only video I have seen that shows the phone app. Very good information. Thank you.
