      Thanks, it’s a late 1970 early 1980’s clock, it’s the same clock as my grandparents. Sounds like most 1980’s tambour clocks sound like running on a Hermle mvmt!

      Yep, this was made by a division of Seth Thomas, Homestead by general time.

    Do you know how much it costs to fix a mantle clock

      Depends on what the movement’s condition and age is, for a Hermle 340-020, it’s around $330 for a new movement and a at least 50 for a clock shop to put the new one in, I did this one my self and I saved money this way. The movement was replaced a few weeks before I got this movement but the clock shop did it the wrong way, I took the rods out so no damage happened, I put the movement in, and what the clock shop did was bend it to the 15 min mark instead of doing what I did and adjusted the nut.
