I do but usually urgos movements are known for their slower strikes

I did it because they look cooler and they are lighter and more versatile so they allow better rotation as the cable unwinds!

I think some are bent because there was an accident with my grandparents clock where they wound it up thinking nothing would happen and all three cables got unhooked breaking all the weights and pendulum which was leaning against the back of the clock with the movement on the floor of the clock which somehow isn’t broken along with the glass! It cost them roughly 2,000 dollars for all repairs and I think the pendulum breaking and the whole catastrophe ended up bending rods, they even rattle when walking on a specific floor board sadly, this clocks top door is also very hard to open due to the humidity over the years and wood swelling makes it almost impossible to close it!

I understand, best of luck in school this year. I am glad you appreciate the help. What did you need to do specifically to get it ticking? Bushings? Just a cleaning?

@@samsclocks2084I needed to replace the cable wheel since the cable was all curly and the new one is perfect, I do plan on saving for a new movement now since it’s movement never did have a great pendulum swing even after a max overhaul so I plan on saving, how is your urgos movement coming along?

The urgos is doing just fine, bushing the 2nd wheel greatly increased the pendulum swing. I wouldn't worry that much about the pendulum swing unless it is so low that it always looks like it is seconds away from stopping.

@@samsclocks2084that’s how I felt on the first few days of testing, started it and slowly lost hope as the pendulum swing deceased, it works now and I have high hopes for it!

Sorry about that, I try to get the Yap down but this is at my grandparents house and we spent the last 4 days there so it’s crazy and it was also lunch so that was why there was clanking. I will fix mine which is the same and there wont be any noise!

It was refurbished from seller @hermanjewlers. So it wasn’t brand new but great job on the fixing all for 369 dollars! He sells hermle urgos Jauch and many other clock parts! Great seller would recommend!

The only way I know is to bend the flywheel so it slightly catches more air, it’s also a little wear.
