Great video. I’m planning a visit and was curious about the restrictions on camera equipment. What size lens did you have on your Nikon?

Do you have to wear outside at the Pyramids in chichen itza ?
We’re not sure what you mean, sorry! If you mean a mask, when we went you had to wear one in all enclosed areas.
@@izzieanddale yes that’s it. Outside I want to know.
We weren’t asked to wear one outside, but I think they’ve had a rise in cases since then so that may change 🙂

I thought that the Aztecs did not build castles, if it is a castle it has nothing to do with the castles that are built in Europe or with the romantic castles.
They built pyramids, temples, courts etc but not castles like the European ones 🙂
Hi, Borja. This is a pyramid built by the Mayans. They thought of if as a temple, and in fact, it's known as the Temple of Kukulkan, a feathered serpent deity which was thought to descend using the stairway of the pyramid and bring fertility to the land. It's also known as The Castle, but it's just the name, and no one in Mexico thinks of it as one. I'm from Mexico City but am currently living in the Yucatan, Mexico.
