This is great. Been thinking about trying Descript for awhile as I spend too much time editing audio podcasts in Audacity. One non-Descript question: what video recording and editing software did you use to make this vid? Really liked how you had your talking head in the lower right while demoing the screen. What program enabkes you to integrate your live inset with the computer demo screen?
Thank you for your appreciation, Robert. If you're interested in the tools we used for this video, please send us an email at support@buzzsprout.com. We'd be happy to share them with you. Happy podcasting!
The audio you are using is clean already. I want to know if Descript has the function to edit audio as if you are editing using audacity or Adobe Audition.
I don’t have the perfect answer but I record a podcast. My audio is slightly edited before using descript and it makes my audio significantly better but since I use different mics, settings etc for my guest, but their audio is also through discord, but I would say on my end I love my audio and I use a basic usb mic. I’ve tried using compressors, equalizers etc with different tutorials on RUclips but I could never get that “studio sound” but descript gives me that sound I’ve been looking for
Hi there, amazing software and will definitely get it! However, I wish you had played the audio in this videos to see how the editing sounded like. For instance, if you delete a word, will it delete the breath sound one might have taken before that word? Hope my question makes sense.
Hi Marcela! Great questions! I think you can. Descript gives you two options whether you want to delete or ignore the audio recorded. I hope that it helps. Let us know how it goes. 😊
It doesn't look like they have a real noise gate feature, but you can vote to ask them to include it here: feedback.descript.com/feature-requests/p/noise-gate-1
helpful, but seems like it needs to be update. The free version of Descript I'm looking at doesn't seem to have most of these features and the program looks pretty different. Is there an updated tutorial?
Does description work for four audio voice channels? I’m worried it either won’t work or will have a hard time with transcribing a little bit of talking over each other
Hey Skyler! I believe you can! Just make sure to configure and add each device on its separate track. You can set this by clicking the + found beside the record button.
Hi Kitty! Are you using the Descript 9.1 version? Try clicking the Edit tab found on the upper left corner between File and Insert options. Then, choose Toggle Correct Text. Once the outline of your interface turns green, that means you're in edit mode. Hope that helps. If you have other concerns, feel free to email us at support. 🤗
hey! been a buzz sprout user for almost a year now and love it! I have a question how did you record this podcast remotely with such a good video quality? like in the "instroducing podcasting Q&A video" I know you recommended Squadcast because it records good audio quality, but dontt know how to get this type of quality with my video?? this would help immensely, thank you? ruclips.net/video/MojheloKmTU/видео.html
Thank you for this very user friendly tool. I can tell that you guys had the customer at heart when you put this software together. Good job.

Great intro to Descript. I was looking for a way to use a Noisegate inside Descript. Got any tips?

Im so confused on if i am able to record on windows though per the Website. though im able to download the software

Can you edit just the "correct text" instead of recording in the free verse?
Descript currently looks completely different so if you're hoping for a tutorial, unfortunately, this isn't the one.

That was great thanks 😊
Glad you find it helpful. Thanks for checking in, Kate!
How do you add space or a few seconds of silence? I have a transript where I need some space between my the host's question and the guest's response?
This video will show you how - help.descript.com/hc/en-us/articles/360042209572-Insert-silence
Is there a way to fade audio files in and out so it sounds cleaner?
Hi Brandon, you might want to try out Audacity for that. Here is a tutorial for Fade in/out: ruclips.net/video/ws49KjQWGyI/видео.html
Does it support Greek language?
Do u have to have a mic?
This looks so cool but I cannot get it to work at all. Installed it, opened it, it doesn’t seem to want to read my mp3 files.
none of these features seen?
Make the license perpetual, them I'll buy.
I don't see edit media??

@@Buzzsprout thank you so much! But usually I wanted to make the voice say something else instead of it's actual audio
