Don't miss the chance to taste the roasted pork on this area as it's a delicacy not easy found all over Greece. Also on the way back to Athens Dont miss to visit the chapel of Santa Theodora in the village of Vasta or Vastas near the city of Megalopoli. I guarantee you will be left in awe and astound and will also produce a viral video as it is a place not known to many foreigners. Also in the vicinity there is an awesome taverna on the left of the road leading to the chapel which has a farm that raises its own poultry and goat meat. It has the most original taste of Arcadian chicken we have tasted and also has great beef stakes.

The Greek Pony Farm is in Kyparissa where free roaming miniature ponies fertilize the soil to make Greek Pony Farm olive oil. Buy a bottle! I don’t know what day of the week it is, but I know the location of ponies & horse stables on another continent! (Hellenic Therapeutic Riding in Athens) In the 70’s Greece was full of working horses: Kifissia had horse & carriage taxis at the metro & the farmers had horse & carts to go to market. The farms & horses are all gone now 😢.

Despite the olives, I totally mixed up Kalabaka and Kalamata and was watching thinking that doesn’t look familiar at all! 😂 I’m glad to know people were in the sea because my bags are packed and I’m leave here first thing tomorrow! I keep weighing my bags and taking things out, lol!

We wanted to go to the last restaurant but they were closed then. I love the serenity of Kalamata except the car parking!
Oh no! It’s so great. I didn’t have a car so I didn’t have that issue. I took the bus or a taxi everywhere.
